Worth the money   11/13/2008
By Dexter999 from Edison, NJ

"I was pretty apprehensive about this title, as every James Bond game after GOLDENEYE was an embarrassment. But QUANTUM reclaims the power of playing as Bond and does it with class. Great graphics, including an incredible 007 model that looks exactly like Daniel Craig. The locations are excellent with a lot of variety.

But most importantly the game is a blast. The gunbattles are intense, heightened by great sound design and music. The Bond gaming experience has never been so immersive. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"

Short   11/11/2008
By misteranderson from Denver, CO

What's great about it: Tied in to movie(s) really well
What's not so great: Linear, Short, and Jaggy

"I was pretty excited for this title based on previous Bond games on other platforms. But it was just OK, while it lasted. Although there's several "chapters", they are all pretty short, and there's no beginning or end to most of them as the story is told from M's POV and you take over Bond in the middle of each chapter.

Your progress through each level is EXTREMELY linear...there is no wandering off the path, and after you cross an invisible line at various points in each level a door will close or debris will block your ability to backtrack. It starts to get ridiculous - shouldn't Bond be able to hop over/around an obstacle that doesn't come up to his knees?

Graphically it leaves quite a bit to be desired. The cut scenes are rendered pretty well, but once you get in-level the jaggies set in and there's a lack of detail compared to other recent PS3 titles in both SD and HD. Occasionally textures failed to draw properly.

Unless you're a Bond freak - and even then, there's no extras on that big Blue Ray disc - you can definitely wait to pick this up when it's not $60. You'll get a little back story re. QoS and Casino, but at $60, you're paying roughly $20 per played hour."

Great game, disappointing multiplayer   11/07/2008
By Ryan1 from Grand Rapids, MI

What's great about it: great graphics and single player game play
What's not so great: no split screen mutliplayer

"The game is very entertaining but I was extremely disappointed to find out that there is no split screen multiplayer. I can't figure out why Activision would not have include split screen multiplayer in this game. The best Bond games of the past have all had great split screen multiplayer. Honestly, I would probably return the game if I could. I want to be able to play with my friends who do not own a playstation."

James Bond is a Classic and Legency   10/28/2008
By gl24rock from New Orleans, LA

What's great about it: Its a billiant and well Design game

"I remember playing the old 007 James bond game its always had great graphics and a spry like feel to the game. Its definitely a classic to behold it really gets you into the game; you really feel like you are apart of the game because its so realist and well design so you feel that inactive feel and realness of the game. You go on missions and explorer your surrounds though inactivating with other characters that help you along with your mission. Yes, Bond is a "One Man" completing his mission by himself but he has always done this very well. Every time you complete an mission there always something new and exciting to see when going on the next mission. I could remember it was in the show where you couldn't see anything. It was so exciting and terrifying for me doing that moment because it was so real. I felt like i was their inside the game. This is what games are suppose to be like. I just hope Playstation 3 release more classics like this one. May be some old Sega Classics or even dreamcast games. You can't count these guys out."

Best Bond Game of All Time!   06/22/2008
By bondfan007 from Ventura, CA

What's great about it: graphics, gameplay, sound
What's not so great: too short

"This game is by far the best Bond game I have ever played. From all the way back to the N64, up through "everything or nothing" on various platforms, this game delivers the true james bond experience. the levels have awesome graphics and detail and really bring the essence of the daniel craig movies to the video game consoles. the AI was impressive and made it more challenging and it was totally fun to play."
