What's great about it: You can llisten to music the radio and look at pictures
What's not so great: can't go online
"I got this for my girl as gift she loves it she uses it every day for 8 hours and it still gose strong she also drop it like 50 times in a week and it still strong she loves it and I love it this is the best NP3 player every made and for the price that the best"

What's great about it: easy to work, good interface
What's not so great: buttons get dusty.
"this little mp3 player is one of the best out there. it has great sound quality and has a very bright and clear screen. the only down side is that the buttons get a little dusty but it doesn't matter. the only thing i recommend is that you buy the 8gb because movies are great to watch on it and they take up a lot of space. this little mp3 is the best. you need to get this along with a case that covers the screen and buttons. Its a great mp3 player."

"My dad got one of these. He's an audiofile so you know that this mp3 player has good sound. The earphones are great too. I really like that it has FM tunner it when Ipods don't."

What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: The cable that comes with it is REALLY short.
"This is simply an amazing mp3/video player! I love being able to view videos and pictures. It even has an FM radio.
The interface is very beautiful. It is very 3d looking. There are numerous features such as different effects for picture slideshows and the ability to set a custom picture as the background. One of the more important features in my opinion is the ability to change the brightness. This saves a lot of electricity and greatly extends the battery life.
It is extremely easy to use. I just took it out of the package, plugged it in, and started playing with it.
Linux users will be happy to know that it works really well with the program Gnomad 2.
The only bad thing about it is that the USB cable they give you for charging and data transfer is about 4" long."

I have had my creative for 3+ years (Vision M series) and it still works like a charm. "All in all, this would be the best choice if you're looking for a nice, cheap mp3 player. Only real problem is when it, at random moments, freezes up. Only thing to solve it is updating it. But unfortunately, Zen's aren't extremely popular, so it'd probably be a while... (sigh)
Also, it feels a bit plastic-y, but that doesn't matter."

What's great about it: Nice unit when it's not frozen
What's not so great: Freezes easily
"I purchased a CL Zen+ in March of '07. Websites abound saying that the unit will freeze up inexplicably so I went back to BB a week later and purchased the replacement plan for 12.99. I eventually learned to not use the little joystick to go back and forth or the unit WOULD predictably freeze up. Today, a year and a half later, I went to turn on the unit and it was frozen. Did the pin in the little hole thing to reset it, which I've done many times in the past, and it was still frozen which has not happened before. Tried two more times. Plugged in to usb cable and into computer and no change. The computer does not recognize it.
Found the paper work on the replacement plan, called the number, had a delightful customer service rep help me and am now on the way to a replacement gift card at the value of the original receipt. Amazing service.
The downside is that I have to reload everything from computer back onto a new unit. I also have to mail unit back (unless my local store will take it as a return) and then wait for gift card to come. This whole process could take 2 or more weeks.
I'm posting this so that Creative Lab customers know that this was a known problem 2 years ago and from reading these reviews it looks like the freezing up issue is still there, which is pretty appalling. We purchased a Samsung unit for DH at Father's Day in June of '07 because of the freezing up problem on my Zen player. He has a job that involves travel and I didn't want him to have to be inconvenienced by having to find a pin nearby to reset the unit when it froze up.
Bottom line - I gave it a 2 star rating instead of 1 because when it worked it did work well and I enjoyed it. I eventually learned to thwart fate by not using the joystick repeatedly or quickly. That cut down on the freeze ups. If you do purchase this unit then get the replacement plan as well."

"Creative is great at making products with cool features, you can search for songs by actually typing it in which is pretty cool, at first it works great but after a while you start to see the cons... I used it daily which may be the reason that it isn't still "alive" but it would be nice if it was more durable. The screen blanked out, the computer stopped recognizing it etc. Another factor to consider is the fact that apple finally caught a hint and has dropped its price by $50 dollars for the 8 Gb which made what originally would have seemed as a good ipod alternative, pretty sucky."

"Not that great but I love my MP3 players with radios which it has with pre-set stations. It has some good software to use to sync music. The ear buds are not that great so you will definitely have to replace it since it will hurt your ears. Oh and hold on to that USB cord properly because to replace it is expensive..Good product"

"I love this player. I replaced my iPod with the Zen because I didn't like the time and difficulty working with iTunes. With the Zen, I just sync my playlists, video's & pics in a matter of seconds. The earphones included sound great! My husband who has an iPod also agreed the Creative earphones sounded better. I definately recommend this player."

What's not so great: It freezes once in a while, so you have to find a pin in order to hit the reset button.
"I've had this gadget for a week, and I love it. Beautiful, attractive unit with neat extras like, good quality videos, pictures (you can even set your pics as a wallpaper on your screen), organizer, time, calender, view artist albums. fm radio, time, alarm, build in microphone. You can play a spy...lol. You get earbuds with this gadget, which they suck. The quality of the sound sucks, but if you get a better quality headphones, then the sound is fantastic. I personally
hate earbuds, cause I don't like it in my ears, they don't have a strong sound since they tend to kinda fall a bit out of the ears. I prefer behind the neck or over the ears headphones.
This unit is definately worth the money, and they are a good price. Get them, you will enjoy it and love it. Weather using them at the gym, jogging, sitting, at work, ect. You will be a satisfied consumer like me."
