What's great about it: the video quality, great size, three usb ports
What's not so great: volume

"The only annoying thing it does is that when you want to change the volume levels, you can't use the buttons because the volume screen will freeze and it wont go away for at least 30 seconds."

What's great about it: Good Price and the Graphics of the laptop is too good and Looks awesome
What's not so great: Bluetooth is not there, Short battery life

"when i bought this.It came to me at around $699. For the price that i bought this is really good.

Pros: Good Look, Faster execution, Value for money.

Cons : It is getting heated up very fastl;y may be because of AMD processor( I don't know the actual reason). Bluetooth is not there and also camera power can be increased."

What's great about it: Lots of options, very fast.
What's not so great: Several wonky features.

"I. Love. This. Computer.
Really quick: the two things I dislike are 1) the touch pad volume control. Occasionally it freezes the entire computer when you slide your finger on it. Have no idea why, but you can fix it easily just by starting the task manager and terminating "Windows On Screen Display" or something like that. I don't remember what the process is called. 2) the wireless switch is way too sensitive! I personally can't find a good reason for the switch to be that sensitive, or in such a prominent place. And I really dislike the fact that you can't disable it either. I believe the only reason this is such a problem is that I am a college student, and when I use my computer, I am basically on wireless internet the entire time.
My favorite things about this computer is the size. I love how small it is. It fits in my purse, along with the power cord without a problem. The speed is wonderful, it runs faster than my desktop. I love the touch pad at the top of the keyboard, it is so wonderful and convenient! The Microsoft programs that come installed like the Movie Maker are really great, they seem pretty equitable to the Apple product equivalents. I really see no need to shell out the extra cash for a Mac.
Another something wonderful: I dropped this computer off the back of a sofa. The only damage was the enter key was popped out (I was able to push it back in), and something strange happened to the CD drive. After a restart, everything was fine! Just another reason to go with an HP. Tough as nails, yeah?
Basically, this is a wonderful computer. I was really dreading the fact that it had Vista installed on it, and after a little bit of tweaking, and with SP1 installed, it really isn't that different from XP. Well, I take that back, it's definitely different, but it runs wonderful. There are even a couple of features that are very similar to features of Mac OSX, like the feature where you can look at every window open spread out on the screen and then select one of them. I'm not sure what that's called, but that is great for research or anything where you have to have a lot of windows open. The hard drive is wonderful, I have all of my music, videos, stories, everything. The webcam is great, the video and picture quality are totally good. The built in microphone leaves a little to be desired, perhaps only because I am a musician, and would like to have professional sound quality which is not really achievable with a built in microphone.
Okay, I hate to go girly here, but I really can't resist. It's a cute little computer! It even came with a little cleaning cloth to keep it nice and shiny. Go for it, you won't be disappointed."

What's great about it: It's so pritty and is so much for a girl. I love it from the firs time when i saw it. Is good for drawing.
What's not so great: I dont like only the volume button. It stops to work sometimes .

What's not so great: no option for 2nd battery

"This is one of the best lap tops I have ever owned.
If not for the lack of a 2nd battery this would be the best ever.
Very fast, loaded with options, very light.
Love the widescreen monitor. And quick access button/less on the top of the keyboard.
The Special edition also gives it flare with the graphics on the top and around the keyboard.
I also like that you can turn the wireless off to extended the battery life."

What's great about it: Fast, cool graphics and very versitle.
What's not so great: Placement of the WLAN switch, it gets very hot.

"This laptop is a great buy, on sale. i paid 750 at best buy for it and that was a great price. It is fast by my strict standards and it really like the special edition graphics. The DVD remote which conceals itself inside the laptop is a nice touch. I'm undecided if i like the AMD processors versus the faster Intel. So far i've had no problems hardware related."

"I have had this computer for 2 months. I bought for school and so far it hasn't given me ANY troubles. At the time that I bought it, this computer was $749.99. The day before I bought it, the price was $799.99 and the day after I bought it, the price went way up to $899.99, so I have to say that I got it at the PERFECT TIME!! This computer is fun fast and completely reliable. The quality is GREAT and it is extremely fashionable. This computer is the future to computers and a GREAT INVESTMENT!!!"

What's great about it: Great performance and reliability
What's not so great: mouse pad is too sensitive even when I change setting

"I originally bought a Toshiba which died 4 days later. Best Buy exchanged it for another of the same model which did not work out of the box.

I decided to give up on the Toshibas and tried this HP. I love it!! The screen size is perfect for my needs. The weight was nice for traveling. And people comment on the finish all the time.

I do not do serious gaming so I can not speak on that issue. I am a working mom who needs to check e-mail, escape to aol or yahoo games for a little down time, I manage our finances,access work, and do research.

I have not had one problem with this computer and I could not be more satisfied."

What's great about it: Sleek look/HDD/Disc Labeling

"Overall I was really looking forward to getting this pc after months of reasearch.

However sadly, after only two months of no problems it just wouldn't boot up. Two months later, after much toil and heartache, Bestbuy (truly the BEST) refunded me the purchase and, coupled with the fact that for the lastest up-to-date pc it generally functioned slower than my mom's dell especially when using itunes, I decided to wash my hands of windows and vista and get a mac (although with mac I could still use a windows os).

I really wanted things to work out with this pc I really did enjoy it despite some of the aforementioned hiccups.

All I can say is for those still hanging on to Windows go with Sony or Gateway. If not get a mac"

What's great about it: nice display
What's not so great: runs hot, battery life is poor, touch buttoms often are broken, slow

"I have had 2 of this..I exchanged the first one because the touch buttons were broken and the 2nd time because the volume was broken and the web browsers would pop up and go crazy for 5 min it opened 100 windows and the screen went blank....2 times same laptop same problem...even though it had 4gb ram it was slow...my new dv4-1125nr is faster....I'd definitely stick with the 1125"
