What's great about it: Great features, perfect phone to text on and take pictures, great for everything
What's not so great: touch screen takes getting used to, but is really easy once gotten

"This phone is fantastic. Lots of people bash on it but it is great. The main reason I wanted to write this review is to inform people who read these that the touch screen may take a little bit of getting used to, but not exactly what you may think. I read the review by the person whose friends can't use the touch screen for some reason, like scrolling. The reason is most likely because the LG Dare uses pressure on the screen for the phone to know it was pressed instead of the capacitance of your finger which is used in the BB Storm or the iPhone. So when you scroll, you have to put a little bit of pressure on the screen in the process, whereas other products you can just touch it. OK, so that's what I wanted to say. This is still definitely a great phone"

Better than the Voyager...most definitely. 01/02/2009

What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Nothing so far.

"I did not buy this phone from BestBuy, but I just had to write a review and let everyone that is looking for a new phone to try this one out. I returned the Voyager that I had only 2 weeks and got the Dare and it was a great choice. The Voyager is bulky, and it kept freezing up, and also the screen kept going blank. So if you are looking to get a new phone go for the Dare, it is light, easy to use, and the sound is great."

What's great about it: The best battery life, it stays full for about 3 days you won't have to charge it for about 4. Read below 4 full review

"Look you guys this is a great phone..... 1.)It has a great camera with flash, 2.)It's small well not too small, it's great size. I Would recomend this phone to a friend. 3.)Cool features, many things you can do with it. 4.)Plus the touch screen is awesome hasn't done anything wrong put a screen protector on it, it works nice. COOL PHONE!!!!!! Oh yea and it has 5.)Great speakers and 6.)Texting is fun on it you can text with a full qwerty keybord or you can text like standard texting on a reg phone, 7.)Battery is a plus, and 8.)With texting and phone dailing you have you hand writting recongnition.."

What's great about it: Lots of features, good service, nice touch screen
What's not so great: Touch could be more sensitive, camera a bit slow

"This is overall a wonderful phone. It is easy and actually fun to use. The touch screen takes a little getting used to, but once you've got the hang of it, it's fine. The web browser isn't perfect, but it's much better than some other phones out there, except for safari on the iPhone. The camera is a bit slow, but takes great pictures. Battery life is amazing. I've gone 4 days of heavy usage before having to charge it, and currently, with light to moderate use, I've not charged it in a week and I still have 2 bars. The Verizon service is great, including the VZNavigator. I would definitely recommend a premium monthly plan with this phone so you can take advantage of all the features without paying more than you have to."

What's great about it: Size, Fits comfortably in hand, and Great Camera
What's not so great: Graphics are not the best, hard to get use to for some

"I have had this phone for about 6 months now. I can text very easily on it and navigate fluently. On the other hand everyone else who tries to use it(key word TRIES.) cant ever get around on it. They have an especially hard time scrolling for some reason. I dont know if it was made for me but never had to much trouble with it. The phone i really have trouble with is the BlackBerry Storm. A LOT harder to operate considering you have to click down on the screen to select something which makes texting alot harder."

What's great about it: best touch screen ive ever used
What's not so great: can't do certain things with the internet

"the dare is the first touch screen that ive used that actually is easy to use. not only is it to use, but its quick enough to keep up with my fast typing. i was very satisified with the dare with the only exception being the internet not being able to do everything that i wanted it to do. however the dare does not claim to have a full html like some other phones do. knowing this this phone is a great buy, and its easy and fun to use."

What's great about it: good touch screen, size, user features, ease of use, and battery life on mine is great!
What's not so great: nothing so far

"This is an awesome phone. I've had it for about 4 months and love it! I've dropped it once on cement and the only that happened was the chrome around the phone got scratched but, the screen didn't have one scratch on it! The touch screen is so easy to use and you can navigate through the menus very easily. The drawing pad is fun to use and texting isn't hard at all, wether you use the querty pad or regular dial pad. Battery life on mine is great and I'm always randomly playing with it. I honestly have nothing really bad to say about the phone. I would definetly recommend the phone to anyone who wants a touch screen phone!"

What's great about it: Extremely Long Battery Life, 3.2 Mp Camera and Camera Features, Music Player
What's not so great: Scrolling Sucks, Slightly Slow in Response Time

"I bought this cell phone about two months ago for $200 with a $50 rebate. The battery lasts incredibly long, almost 3 days with average use. The 3.2 Mp camera featured on this phone is excellent. The phone is capable of capturing slow-mo with a high frame rate which is really cool and you can edit your photos and videos right on the phone. The full HTML browser is nowhere near safari on the IPhone but it works. Another nice feature is the Music Player (I suggest you get a micro sd memory card). Some cons include scrolling on the phone, which is pretty bad compared to the IPhone, and you sometimes click and open things while trying to scroll. Overall i really enjoy using this cell phone because of its small stature and it's incredible camera... I definitely recommend this product."

"The LG Dare is by far a great cell phone. This phone beats the Iphone in price and in performance. The Dare has many great easily accessible features such as a main screen in which u can drop icons to your favorite features, 3.2 megapixel camera, navigation and much more. the only slight problems with the phone is: a slight lag once and a while, and might not be good for people with thicker fingers."

What's great about it: Does a little of a lot of things
What's not so great: Touch interface can take some time to get used to, camera is a little slow

"I have been looking for a great all-in-one device for quite some time and originally considered an iPhone. The reason I held off on the iPhone was because of decent-at-best coverage from AT&T where I live. Add the monthly fee required to use an iPhone (for my wife and I to both have one) and we just felt it was more money than what we wanted to spend. Thus we made the switch to Verizon since their coverage is much better here. During that time I went through several phones trying to find one that worked for what I wanted and that didn't require a data plan (i.e. Smartphone or Blackberry). After much trial and error and research I settled on the Dare and have been happy with my decision.
The Dare will do what most people want and it does it all pretty well. The only exception is that texting on the virtual QWERTY keyboard takes a little getting used to and the camera is slow when taking pictures. The image quality of the pictures and the camera features are excellent (especially considering it's on a phone), the video recorder is great, and there are a host of other excellent features as well.
If you are looking for a phone with a good MP3 player the Dare is a great choice. Many of the MP3 players on other phones are pretty watered down or cumbersome to use but the Dare handles music playback very well. While it's not as robust as say an iPod it definitely gets the job done. Add in the ability to use Rhapsody To Go content and it's a great option for anyone who enjoys subscription based music services.
In short, if you want plenty of features and an attractive phone that doesn't require a data plan then definitely consider the Dare."

THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS ARE THE PHONE DOES NOT RESPOND OR FREEZE CONSTANTLY. MAKIN A CALL OR SNAPPING PICTURE TAKES TOO LONG, MUSIC SOUND IS BAD, PHONE CONVERSATION CUT IN AND OUT, HARD TO SEE PICTURE DURING THE DAY,HANDWRITING DOES RECOGNIZE MOST OF THE TIME. "This is a great phone. I love everything about it. I love the fact that it serves as an MP3 player and even better, it works with my existing rhapsody account.
It takes great pictures. The navigation is cool. It surfs the internet pretty fast.

"Just wanted to tell as many people know about the LG Dare as possible that this phone is one of the best out there (as far as "touch screens" go). It was time for an upgrade and I went with the Moto Q first and had so many issues with it that I'm glad I switched to this one. It's very easy to use and has so many features, you'll love it! Go for the bigger memory so you can add more things to it right away."
