What's great about it: Amazing sound, clarity and comfort.
What's not so great: If not respected, they can break at the hinge.
I wasn't sold at first, mainly because of the price. But once I sampled them with my own music in the store, they blew away the competition! They sound better than the Bose brand for the same price. I'm hearing sounds in songs I've heard hundreds of times before that I've never heard. Tip: spend the extra couple bucks for higher end batteries, they do last longer and you'll save money in the end.

What's great about it: Fantastic Bass, Comfortable, Durable
What's not so great: Price, Awful Sound Leakage, Batteries
The sound quality on these headphones is fantastic. Although, I'd only recommend them for bass music. Also, the reason I gave them a 3 (being generous) is because the sound leakage is absolutely horrendous. I put the volume on my iPod halfway and my whole bus could practically hear it. So if you're a fan of low sound leakage, these aren't for you. Otherwise, you're good to go.

What's great about it: Cozy to wear, decent price, sleek, stylish
What's not so great: FINGERPRINT MAGNET
I received these headphones as a gift for Christmas. I put these bad boys through a bit of wear n tear, THESE HEADPHONES ARE TOUGH! I primarily use them on my laptop, the HP dv6 with beats audio in it. When you can change the bass on these suckers, they kick butt! Best headphones i've used. Better than most Sennheisers, and better then all Bose headphones in terms of sound quality.

What's great about it: Stylish looks, powerful bass, crisp highs, high volume, low distortion
What's not so great: Price, requires batteries to work, sound leakage, fingerprint magnet
I'll start my review by saying that I'm not a fanboy of Monster, Beats By Dr. Dre, Bose, or any name or brand. What I'm mainly concerned with is the quality of the product and how well it meets and/or exceeds my personal expectations and needs. I owned both the Beats Studios and the Bose QC15's and I did a comparison of both headsets against each other. I liked both and both have their strengths and weaknesses but I ended up keeping the Beats Studios and returning the Bose QC15's
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Both are packaged nicely and come with nice carrying cases, 2 audio cables (1 with mic and remote for smartphone calls and music playback control#, airline adapter and batteries #QC15's require 1 AAA, Studios require 2 AAA's). The Studios come with a cleaning cloth. The Studios have a glossy finish and collect fingerprints, the Bose don't so they don't really need a cleaning cloth. A 1/4 inch adapter for the audio cables is included with the Studios but not the Bose. Both have the on/off power switch on the right earcup but the Studios feature a mute button that the Bose do not. You press the mute button to mute the sound and shutoff the noise cancelling in case you need to hear something or someone. Release the button to continue listening to music. The song playing doesn't pause when the mute button is pressed. Useful if you happen to be using the audio cable that doesn't have the music controls on it. Personally, I like the look and style of the Studios better than the Bose but that's simply a matter of personal taste.
COMFORT & QUALITY
I feel both headsets are equal in this category. Both were comfortable and I could wear both for hours without any discomfort. The Studios are a bit heavier but that didn't bother me. Both are mainly constructed of plastic but I really didn't see that as being much of a problem if taken care of properly. In my opinion, both should be quite durable and long-lasting if taken care of properly.
NOISE CANCELLING
Both headsets feature powered noise cancelling technology that reduces outside noise so you can hear more of the music being played especially at lower volumes. The technology uses microphones to detect the outside noise then the speakers send out sound waves to cancel the noise. The Bose QC15's do a better job of this. I tested both headsets with and without music playing and the Bose do a better job of reducing the noise. I listened with the TV playing, my portable heater fan blowing, running faucet, toilet flushing, etc. While neither headset completely eliminate the noises, the Bose reduce the noise better than the Studios. Of couse, with both headsets, if you crank up the volume a few nothces, you won't hear any outside noises anyways. The noise cancelling causes a slight suction/pressure feeling around your ears. This feeling is more noticeable on the Bose but does exist on the Studios as well. It didn't bother me and I got used to it in no time but it could be bothersome to some. Simply put, the Bose win when it comes to noise reduction.
SOUND LEAKAGE
The Bose QC 15's offer a more private listening experience especially at higher volume levels. Both headsets leak sound at high volume levels but the Bose can be played at a higher volume without you having to worry about others hearing what you're listening to. Leakage isn't a problem with either headset at low to moderate volume levels and music can be heard and enjoyed comfortably and privately on both but take note that you can you play your music louder on the Bose without worries of sound leakage.
SOUND QUALITY
I'll start by saying that both are great sounding headsets. I have a wide range of musical interests: Hip Hop, Gospel, R&B, Metal, Jazz, Ambient, etc. Everything I listened to on both headsets sounded clear, crisp, and really good. Both headsets allow you to hear things in your music that you hadn't heard before. The Beats Studios sound better in my opinion. The Bose in no way sound bad but the Studios simply have a better sound. The bass is more powerful and less distorted on the Studios and the highs are more crisp and have more of a snap to them. The mids are great on both. The Studios are also quite a bit louder in overall volume. Both headsets distort a bit at max volume but the distortion is less on the Studios, especially on big bass songs. The Studios can be played at a louder overall volume level with less distortion than the Bose.
CONCLUSION
I liked the Beats Studios a bit better than the Bose QC 15's due to the better bass output, less distortion at high volume levels and higher volume output. I also like the look of the Studios better. The Bose are better with noise cancelling and sound leakage but I was more concerned with what I could hear rather than what I could not. To me the Studios met my personal need a bit more than the Bose. That's just me though. Everyone is different. I'd recommend going somewhere where both are on display and listening to both to see which one better fits your personal need. I don't think you can go wrong with either one.
Bose QC15's - better noise cancelling, less sound leakage, lighter
Beats By Dre Studios - better bass output, less distortion at high volume, higher volume level, more stylish looks

What's great about it: Comfortable.
What's not so great: Need to remember to turn them off
I love my Beats. They are stylish and comfortable. They excel at louder volumes. At lower volumes they are only a little above average. They don't really have as much noise canceling as you would think either which is probably why it sounds better louder. And if you like bass then you will love these they probably have the best base of any headphones ever created.

What's great about it: style and strong bass (albeit overly strong)
What's not so great: Poor quality and mediocre sound
I'm a sound engineer & have tried dozens & dozens of headphones. I'm always interested in trying new gear to see if I can find anything to surplant my classic Sony Studio Pro MDR-V6, Sennheisers or Audio Technica headphones.
While these are decent sounding headphones, compared to other headphones in the same price range, made by truly reputable headphone makers, these fall short sound quality-wise.
On a scale of 1-10 these would rate about a 6.5 or 7. Most people are used to your run-of-the-mill department store headphone (skullcandy, sony, etc) & compared to those, these sound much better, however if you compared these to truly good headphones then you'd hear what you're missing. These have a strong bass response but are lacking elsewhere. The bass is overwhelming & you miss a good part of the rest of the spectrum. (mids & highs) Apparently young listeners think a strong bass equates to great sound quality. They don't know what they are missing.
If bass & style is all you care about, & you're ok with over spending for a brand, go ahead & get them. If you want the best sound for the price & don't care about what your peers think, you can get better & more natural sounding headphones for less, probably half as much. This is a good article that'll explain it more: http://audioproheadphones.blogspot.com/2011/07/headphone-popularity.html

What's great about it: Only Bass
What's not so great: Flat Sound, No Depth, Cheap Feeling.
A friend got a pair of these, and told me they were really good. Unfortunately he lives a couple states away so I had to take his word on it, and splurged. I've always been a fan of Grado headphones, so can only compare to my last ones which the cord broke after years of use.
I was unimpressed! these costed twice as much as the Grados did, but had only half the sound.
Sure they have great bass, but the rest of the sounds have no depth. I like to hear the crack of the snare drum, the high tones of cymbals, but it just wasn't able to deliver.
For the price, I feel this is not a good set. Drop the price by 60% and they would possible fit in right there.
Dont believe the hype. I'm going to unload these, and possibly go with the bose they had on display in the store. those sounded tons better than this.

What's great about it: um, EVERYTHING!
What's not so great: little pricey but so worth it
The Studio headphones by Dr. Dre are just the best. Super comfortable, fits well on the head, doesn't feel heavy at all. Produces the best sound, the bass is insane. To get the full range of sound & to experience how awesome the bass is, its best to listen to hip/hop or electronic music. You won't regret buying these. Just make sure you actually listen to music a lot before you get these. 10/10
