What's great about it: High deff. gaming is the best thing about this system.
What's not so great: the life expectancy is very very low. and the price for accesories

"ok I have always liked sony , but the first time i played halo i was hooked .thats what lead me to buy a 360 , but come to find out the 360 is not the greatest, I have herd many many many people send there 360's back in for repair. to me $400 is alot for something that is gona tear up sooner or later , you would think you are getting your money worth but.... your not . now the 360 is great for the hd gaming part hands down. I was amazed when I first seen the graphics on my hd tv. but when my $400 system quit working ,I was outraged . I mean come on its a computer company makeing these. my old ps2 is still working after 4 years. and now the only game i play when I get the chance is call of duty and the ps3 has it too . so."

What's great about it: It looks nice when it works
What's not so great: The system messes up way to much

"I've had my system for 2 years now and I am by far not a "gamer". I may have 50 hours total game play on this system. I got it because I like to play a video game every once in a while. Well this past weekend (Black Friday), I picked up Rock Band 2 and went to play it and I have 3 red lights (Ring of Death, so I'm told) come up. I called the customer service and I have to send this in to be repaired. They said it could take up to 3 to 4 weeks to send back. I would never recommend this to anyone and this is what I told them on the phone!"

What's great about it: Sooo many good games, xbox arcade, achievements, xbox live, etc...
What's not so great: Red Ring of Death happens to some (buy a warranty)

"Instead of rating this by the package (just read the description to decide on Xbox 360 Arcade, Pro, or Elite to fit your price and functionality), I want to give a heads up for Christmas shoppers out there this year. If you want to get your kid a new gaming system (and they are old enough to play teen rated games), I believe the Xbox 360 is the very best way to go. I have tried all 3 systems, and the number of great games on the 360 just outnumbers the Wii and the PS3. The Wii mainly fits a younger audience and the PS3's best quality is the Blu-ray Player, but if you are looking for the best GAMING system (which I assume most people buying a gaming system are) buy the Xbox 360.

The only downside I see to this system is some systems experience "The Red Ring of Death" which is from an internal problem in some of the systems. Just make sure you buy a warranty for your system, and with a warranty, if anything goes wrong you can return your system for a brand new one, and still get to keep your hard drive so you don't lose your stored data. Personally, the "Red Ring of Death" has never happened to me, but it happened to my brother. Don't worry though, thats like replacing a headlight on a Porsche."

What's great about it: User Friendly, Good Price

"We bought the Xbox 360 Arcade Version a few months ago and recently upgraded to this package. It's a good deal for the price with the 60G hard drive and the games. The games are actually good games that my 7 year old wants to play and not the lame stuff that usually comes with gaming systems. If you get hooked up online or call Xbox you can get a backwards compatibility upgrade too so that your old Xbox games will work. It's a nice looking system and it works well and is pretty easy to figure out. The graphics aren't as good as the PS3 but they're still amazing compared to old systems. We're not "gamers" so I'm not sure how this system would hold up for them but for your average family it's great and has more than enough storage.

Good bargain!!"

What's not so great: Games still need to go down in price. Some games stay 60 bucks for well over a year

"Don't buy the cheep Arcade Model. You will use up alot of space on your harddrive with music pictures and games plus it comes with two games that were better than the ones before. But if you're looking for the best of the best, don't go pro go Elite. Comes with everything you need to make the system run at it's best."

What's great about it: Game selection, Netflix streaming, marketplace, XBox Live
What's not so great: Fairly noisy disc drive

"The XBox 360 is by far the best gaming console available. I live in a house with a Wii and a PS3 and no one ever plays those... but the XBox 360 is played ALL the time. The gaming experience is superb, movies on Netflix are incredible and truly stunning quality, Gears of War 2 is amazing and never gets old, the games are cheaper in a lot of ways (at least the good, older games) and you really can't beat XBox live. It is definitely the best online experience of all three mainstream consoles. I would certainly recommend getting an XBox 360 and would get one again if I had the choice. Hope this helps your decision."

"i just bought this a week ago, and when i turned it on. it was really loud, and it wouldnt play any of my old games and i just bought a new game and it doesnt want to play it. so dont buy this bundle"

"This is perhaps the best console out there, i had a ps3 for a while but it wasnt mine so i had to give it back to the owner, i tried both consoles but this one feels more smooth on the gameplay than the ps3. I recomend buying an Xbox 360 tha a ps3, its cheaper and better on games. It doesnt have blueray thats why its not as expensive as the ps3 but who cares if u are intrested in games Xbox 360 is the way to go."

What's great about it: HDMI, GRRREEAT GAMES, great graphics, great online experience and dlc, price, fun...
What's not so great: its a bit noisy (so people says, im not really affected), it may overheat (hasnt happened either), internet costs...

"This console is marvelous.
lets start with the bad thing
It has 3 processors, and that generates a lot of heat, so the fans used to keep the console cool are quite noisy... not too much, but more than the ps3, for example. Sometimes those fans dont even work as they should be... I havent got problems(and I play a lot of hours daily) , but ive read some cases... the only thing that is bad, but I dont really care is the costs for xbox live... yes.. its not really cheap, but... it is much better than the ps3 internet and that takes us to the games.
good stuff
games: the tipping point. period. in the console battle, it doesnt really matter if one has a thousand terabytes or millions of HZ of processing blah... it all comes to the games. there are a lot og insanely fun games that are for both consoles: GTA4 COD BIOSHOCK OBLIVION and so on. but... xbox has also GOW HALO3 FORZA2 MASS EFFECT, ps3 doesnt have them
yeah.. yeah... the ps3 has MGS4 and Gran Turismo 5.... strong games to beat, I agree.. but still... MSG4 is coming to the 360 as well, aand GT5 is very similar to FORZA2 (in my opinion forza is better. its all about the gameplay, not how many bazillion cars there are).... Yes the PS3 is AMAZING I truly like it as well, but in my opinion.. the 360 has certain advantage... games. the list of amazing 360 exclusives is huge... the list of ps3 exclusives.. not so huge
I know I know... in terms of media, the pS3 bashes the 360 into oblivion... but.. I want to buy a GAME console I already have my DVD and my Laptop.

I really recommend the ps3 to someone that cares a lot about watching blurays, storing gigs and gigs of music and vids.

But when it comes to me, I want a great gaming experience... xbox 360 for me
also, I really recommend ordering in this website... I ordered it and it arrived just when they told me it would and I could track the package with so many details, I could almost know the name of the person carrying it at any given time haha. ok im kidding, but it is very good. Much better than other websites.

What's great about it: XBOX Live, the functionality is uncomparable
What's not so great: soooo many features and no one bothers to use them

"The first thing you should buy besides a game of course would be xbox live. look up all of the features that it has to offer, especially since it's being upgraded within a few days, and I guarentee you will not be dissapointed. The only other thing I would pick up would have to be the play and charge kit because if you are an avid game you'll end up plowing through two AA's in a matter of a week. Trust me it adds up, just spend the extra $20 and you can turn your wireless controller into a wired one while it charges itself. Other than that unless you have a relative that also has an xbox and you'd like to video chat with them or play a game of uno which is far more addicting than advertised. That would require the live vision camera which also adds quite a few new goodies and features. To call this a video game system is pretty much an insult considering it's ancestors, same goes for the PS3 but I dont like to play with myself and their online capabilities are not even close to the same class as Microsofts."

What's not so great: a lot... no high definition movie playing, online play costs money, ect.

"Ive always had a playstation and have a PS3. I finally bought a 360 a while back, just because i knew a lot of people owned one. It was one of the worst mistakes ive ever made while purchasing something to do with video games. The fans that cool the system are loud, it cannot play high definition movies since it does not play blu ray movies, online costs money, controllers take batteries, and worst of all it breaks over and over again. RED RING OF DEATH! i had to send it off to be repaired, and maybe 5 months later it got the red ring of death again. ended up selling it for $40.

The only good thing out of this system is the graphics. Yes, it is cheaper than the PS3, but when you compare all that you get with the Xbox 360 and what it can do,ITS REALLY NOT EVEN WORTH $200!

i should have never even thought to buy one. My advice... stick with a PS3. You get amazing graphics, free online play, free services, addicting games, rumble and motion censoring controllers, AND A BLU RAY DISC PLAYER!! You cant beat a deal like that, and its only $100 more than the Xbox. And most importantly, it doesnt ever screw up or get any junk like a red ring of death."

"I decided it was time to buy an Xbox 360. Being a happy owner of the original xbox I have a nice collection of games that are compatible with the 360. Never used xbox live and I tend to be a occasional gamer. I'll be honest I am not a hard core player so I was waiting for the price to drop. I was planning to get the Xbox 360 ARCADE version to be practical. I couldn't resist buying the next model up instead. The price went under $300 and included not only a bigger hard drive (60gb instead of 20gb) but it was also bundled with two games that my kids love. I guess Microsoft is wising up to Nintendo Wii"s marketing strategy on attracting a wider range of consumers.
I own a Wii and my kids and enjoy it. The only problem is the graphics are just okay and the majority of games are more for kids than adults. Xbox 360 has a ton of great games (in my opinion a better selection than the PS3) and the graphics are beautiful! I Love it. So easy to hook up with the HDMI port. This new model is the improved version from what I have been told. Supposively it's less likely to go through the RROD problem and the fans are not as noisey as the older model. I purchased the Best Buy 2 yr. warranty just to be on the safe side. Even the price of the warranty went down due to the price drop on the system! I am very pleased!"
