What's great about it: not much
What's not so great: too hot, front falls off
When you push it along the couch the front end of it is likely to fall off unless you have it just right. So then the dirt falls all over everything. The filter falls out too. The cord is also not very long, you have to plug in right by what ever you're vacuuming.

What's great about it: It picks up stubborn animal hair
What's not so great: A bit heavy and hard on the wrist (but worth it)
I was hesitant to purchase this vac because of the rubber attachment and lack of rollerhead, but boy was I proven wrong! This little vacuum is a animal hair magnet! It pulls those stubborn hairs that manage to needle themselves into fabric and makes cleaning up dirty messes a cinch. I love this product!

I bought this mini vac based upon the high reviews it was given. I was disappointed that it was not cordless, but it works very well, especially picking up cat hair off of furniture (main reason I bought it). However, after 3 weeks of use, the motor has started to make a funny high pitched noise and I am afraid it is on its last leg already. I will wait and see . . . .

With two cats and two dogs, this Bissell Hand-Vac does a great job. It's built like a tank and works very good. I would recommend this hand-vac for use anywhere you need a small powerful hand-vac.

What's great about it: Great for touchups around the home.
What's not so great: Strong air currents from vents blows away the stuff I'm trying to suck up.
Just brought this for the little dust bunnies that are all over my hardwood floors (I have 2 60 lb. dogs). This machine is strong for such a little vacuum. It is also loud but that doesn't really bother me.
It has a nice long cord so I I can travel all over my living room or clean my stairs without worrying about finding another outlet or worrying about it running out of charge like the cordless handhelds. The filter is removable and the screen (not the filter itself) is washable. It is very comfortable to hold and easy to use.
The one thing, albeit BIG, that bothers me is that the vacuum blows out a strong current of air out of both sides of the machine. This is causing my dust bunnies to fly all over the place and as a result I have to go and chase them. As much as I like the product, this is a big enough annoyance that I am contemplating returning it if I can't find a way to minimize the air currents from blowing directly on the stuff I'm trying to vacuum up.
All in all this is great for picking up crumbs, cleaning the furniture, and doing touchups around the house. It is not so great for cleaning dust bunnies off of hardwood floors as it just blows the stuff all over the place.

What's great about it: cheap, good suction!!
I was skeptical about this product at first, let's face it it's so small to be that powerful. But since I ran out of options and don't really want to spend hundreds of dollars for a vacuum, I decided to give it a try (and it's Black Friday Sale too). When I bring it home today (like an hour ago) and give it a try, all I can say is ""oh my god this thing really works!!"
So for the people out there that's still struggling about which vacuum to buy and if it works, this is the one for you!! But be aware that this IS a small hand-held vacuum so if you are looking for a vacuum for the entire house then this might not work that well. I only use it for my bed and my couch and it works perfectly!!

I have a pug that I love dearly but I don't like the hair he sheds! Pulling out the vacuum several times a week got old so I bought the Bissell pet hair eraser and hoped for the best. I could not be happier! It works great on my microfiber couch and my cotton duvet. It is easy to use, light weight and portable. Easy to clean when it's full. I take it with me when I travel so my dog doesn't leave his unwanted hair at my friends/family's house. After my mom used it, she bought herself one!! I have also let my friend borrow it and he loved it, so can you guess what he will be getting for Christmas this year?
I would say "this product has enough suction that a single pass does the job" depending on the surface. I noticed my friends couch made of micro-suede velvet took a little longer to clean.
I highly recommend this product!

I have been so frustrated with the constant removal of the cat hair my three kitties leave all over my microfiber couch. I have tried many different products and after reading lots of reviews went ahead and purchased the Bissell. I just got it home and cannot speak for longevity or the filter issue people have mentioned, but in terms of getting cat hair off a couch, it can not be beat! I am so pleased.

Oh my gosh! This thing is amazing! I saw all of these great reviews for it and noticed it had a high star rating, so I decided to go in and buy one. BEST purchase ever! I have two Australian Shepherds and they are shedding like crazy, and my Hoover vacuum cannot seem to pick up their hairs off the carpet. THIS bad little machine does it like it's nothing, it packs the power and gets the job done! I am extremely satisfied with the product, and I never actually take the time to write online reviews of products, so that's saying something. Do yourself a favor and buy this vacuum, the price is super reasonable too!

I have a chocolate couch that all 3 of my long haired cats love to hang out on. Using my upright is a pain because the tube isn't long enough plus it takes me an hour. I read the reviews others left and thought what the heck. Boy was I surprised! I had my couch completely clean in 5 minutes. I was also able to clean my cat platforms completely, too. I'm surprised something that small would be powerful to pick up all that cat hair. I wish I had bought this years ago.

What's not so great: noiser than I thought it would be
I have a Shiba Inu that sheds all the time and this vac is perfect. Some of the reviews I read said it wasn't really loud, but it's about as loud as a floor vac. It does have a lot more power than I thought for a hand vac and I like that it has a really long electric cord. I use it everyday and only have to go over the furniture once.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Let me preface by stating the only reason we purchased this vac is to only clean our stairs. The flexible tip allowed me to get into those tight areas.
Light weight and the cord was very long.
I wish it came with more accessories. The best $30 purchase I made in a long time.

For a corded hand vac, it has good suction. But the air flow out the sides just blows half the stuff away.

What's great about it: Price, light weight, long cord, very easy to use, great suction, works well on couches, stairs, etc.
What's not so great: Not a good choice for hard floors as vacuum blows air out sides which blows dust/hair around before you can vacuum it up
We have a dog a and two cats and use a Dyson animal upright for our primary cleaning and absolutely love it.; but we couldn't bring ourselves to pay $200 + for a Dyson handheld. So we read reviews online and at consumer reports and decided to pick this up as it is much more affordable.
On the positive side, It is a plug-in handheld which we like as we won't have to worry about a battery running out in the middle of a cleaning. It is pretty light weight and the cord is long enough to do a full set of stairs. It has great suction and the rubber attachment works very well to pick up animal hair off of the stairs, couches, bedding, etc. It is a no-frills easy-to-use hand vacuum.
On the negative side, as others have stated, it does blow air towards the front sides of the vacuum so it's not a great choice for hardwood or tile floors as it does blow the hair and dust around a bit. However, for this price point, it's going to be hard to beat-I still recommend it.
