Satisfied! I was really nervous choosing a new washer and dryer because of all of the mixed reviews out right now. I went with my gut and I've been happy. You do have to get use to the cycles taking longer but do you really want to complain about your clothes being cleaner because of it? I would buy it again and I think it is the best machine for the best cost right now.
What's great about it: The delay wash, steam cycles, etc.
What's not so great: Nothing comes to mind
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this washer and the matching dryer back in the Summer of 2008. It has worked well until Nov. 2009 when the washing machine developed a squeaking noise when running. I called LG Customer Service and was given the name of two authorized service providers. The first one, who I called 4 times over a 2 month period never returned my phone calls (and apparently is no longer an authorized service provider). The second one was 50 miles away and would not come to my area. The washing machine has started walking all over the floor when it spins to the point where it has worn off the paint on the side panels of both the washer and the dryer.
For the cost of this machine, it is a lemon. I previously owned Maytag Neptune front-loaders that I used daily for 11 years before the motor went out. My mistake was believing that LG was a reasonable replacement--it isn't if you expect to easily get service.
Finally, I was able to get in touch with an authorized LG repair place in my area (by calling LG again to complain). The lady who I spoke with to schedule my appointment told me that they have nothing but trouble with LG products and they have to have a dedicated person to deal with LG warranty work because of the sheer number of calls that they get. I cannot say that I am surprised. My advice before spending this amount of money is to shop around and talk to appliance repair places in your area to see which models that they recommend to be the most trouble-free.
What's great about it: Lots of features, cleans clothes well
What's not so great: Difficult to get service, washing machine out of balance after 16 months

The first year I had success with the washer. Like one of the other revieweres, the second year was a disaster. I kept getting leaks from underneath the washer. The cycle also would freeze and if I wasn't home, the washer would run forever. I did not buy the extended warranty. When you pay $1500 for a washer, it should be high quality. To top it off, the service department told me to call an authorized service store which couldn't figure out the problem. That company is no longer listed as an authorized service store. So, LG tells me to hire another service shop - the bottom line - you keep paying unti lsomeone figures it out. I will never buy an LG again. Trust me - buy a different brand
What's great about it: Lots of features;steam wash cycle
What's not so great: Horrible serive, leaking, noise
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features, good price, good quality, noise level is very low during spin cycle, steam cycle is good for cleaning clothes, energy and water usage is the main reason why we purchased this model. No smelly washer if you wipe after every wash.
What's great about it: Noise level, Price, Color
What's not so great: None so far

I had purchased the Samsung Platinum VRT series washer/Dryer pair, Models: WF44A8AP & Dryer DV448AGP. Samsung never responded. But, that is another story (don't buy Samsung) you will regret it. After much research (2 weeks exactly). I discovered that the LG Steam series were the 1st, to get the Asthma & Allergy certification by the foundation of America. I decided to purchase LG Steam Set, Washer Models : WM3001 and Gas Dryer Model: DLGX3002P. This was a very wise choice, I can do any size load and that the machine will work out the details using weight and balance to determine the size load, and the amount of water needed. These machines are so quiet. My clothes are definitely cleaner. The Dryer does dry in 1 cycle, (the Samsung dryer would stop stating the clothes were dry and it took additional cycles). Another concern was with the front loader's, both machines have a pause button for adding to the load. I love all the higher engineering aspects. This washer is everything I expected and more and I would purchase it again in a heartbeat. It lives up to the hype. I must say, no regrets!!

What's great about it: The quality, it is very quiet. I amamazed by additional feautures & intelligence.
What's not so great: Price of the pedestals. Washer/Dryer, well worth the investment.

Great product its great with the steam and easy to use
What's great about it: the way it knows if to much soap in it and controls that by more rinse cycles
What's not so great: nothing

Machine is less than 7 days old, and only 6 washes. Water leaking everywhere. Pumps out too fast for standpipe to handle so soap and water backing out on floor. Now washer does not spin clothing completely, and water is now leaking from base of machine. Not worth the money. BestBuy has been great to work with LG not so good. Giving BestBuy one more chance to fix then its back to the store with this and back to the old fashioned top loader.

What's not so great: Leaks water everywhere

I purchased the WM2277HS in Feb.2006 along with an LG dryer - thinking that a high quality product like this would not need an extended warranty, i opted not to purchase one and now I am deeply regreting that choice.
Just 2 short yrs later (Oct. 2008)
I am looking at a $450.00 repair for the electrical boards on the unit to be replaced!! (thats close to 1/2 of what i paid for the washer!!
So what happened?
a "power surge" ...in a new house, with no rain storms taking place, and ONLY affecting the washer? sure.
i am pretty sure my next washer and dryer will be a whirlpool or maytag!
