What's not so great: No support for product
There is no support for this product. Even though I called the manufacter, they could not help me resolve my issues. I connected the product correctly and it still did not work. I returned to store.

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: It's never worked, and there are no instructions to explain why.
I bought this hoping I could use my iPOD on my entertainment center. I hooked it up like I was instructed, and plugged my iPOD in, and nothing. It is difficult to fathom when one considers the ease in which other iPOD sound systems work. I have left the iPOD in it for an hour, as it looks like it is trying to boot or something. Unfortunately, there are no instructions on how the unit actually works or what you have to do in order to get it to work, and it is certainly not intuitive. I have now wasted $200.00 on a unit that has never worked. It is always frustrating when a product does not have thorough instructions, which is a big problem here.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To put simply this is a decent iPod Dock. Denon has allowed through the receiver ability view playlists and photos this is not the case with the generic iPod docks.AV receiver remote does allow for navigation but there is a limit of how many playlists are displayed, I stopped counting around 25. Cost of this Dock is high and does not come with a remote to control all iPod functions As we some manufactures this dock does not have a generic lock screen so you can access home screen and run Pandora
I would recommend this to a friend!

Despite what the Denon literature claims this unit does NOT work with any 4G iPod Touch .. NOR is it upgradeable to do so.

What's great about it: The receiver you can link your I-Pod to.
What's not so great: The price sould have been 70/ 80 bucks not 100.
The receiver is a good value but I think they made the cost of the I-Pod dock highter than they needed to make it. If you llike the receiver I guess you have no choice but buy the matching I-Pod dock if you want to use your I-Pod with the system.
I guess it all evens out, and the receiver was a really good value.

What's great about it: Sound Quality, Easy to Use, TV Display
This Ipod dock is very good. It charges your Ipod while its docked and your Denon AV Receiver is turned on. The sound quality is Great. Its easy to use with your Denon AV Receiver remote control and it displays the song on the AV Receiver display screen and your TV screen. I have a AVR590 and this Ipod Dock and its a great combo. No problems. Highly Recommended.

What's great about it: It Charges as it plays
What's not so great: no background screen with the reciever
I bought this particular piece on a whim, my sales buddy at Best Buy reccomended it so I grabbed it, I got it home and plugged it in, took a few minutes, had to read what wire went where on the reciever, got it in and powered up and I have to say folks, on my system it sounded like whatever was playing was in concert right in my bedroom from Blink 182 to Trans Siberean Orchestra, Slipknot to Godsmack, Lil Jon to Eminem, it did not matter what was playing it all sounded amazing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Nice solid construction. Stays put on component rack.
What's not so great: S-video adater not functional with newer digital televisions.
Had hoped to play videos from ipod to TV, but I'm still messing with the s-video jack provided with unit to connect to my Samsung digital television.(No s-video connection) It is right now a very expensive battery charger.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: easily connected to receiver, nice to get info on TV, almost like having a juke box in my living room.
This product does exactly what I expected it to do. Easy to hook up and sounds fine with my I-touch. I teamed it with a Denon receiver and Boston Acoustics speakers. Would have been better if dock came with the receiver like so many other companies are offering. But overall I have no complaints.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: easy setup -- clean, quality pass-through of audio
What's not so great: screen menu a bit clunky to navigate, audio cables cheap
tried one in my "man cave" with denon 1610, worked well, so just got one for the 2808 in living room as well -- does all that I expected -- like another poster, I used some extra monster audio cables that I had, instead of the cheap cables that come with the unit -- took 10 minutes from the time I opened the box to be playing music -- sure beats messing with CDs -- will add to harmony universal remotes, hope that's better than using the denon remotes, which is not extremely intuitive
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works very well with my Denon 2808ci reciever. My only gripe is the quality of the audio and video cables. I went ahead and upgraded the cables with some extra Monster cables I had laying around the house. I am quite happ on how well this dock works and sounds with my reciver.

This product does exactly what it is designed to do for me. It plays my Ipod music and charges it at the same time. The onscreen display is also a plus.
I have this matched with a AVR2310ci and I couldn't be happier. Just connect it up to the Ipod/VCR connectors and the Ipod Dock connector and you should be good to go. I was listening to musc in 5 mins.
I do advise any readers to go to http://www.usa.denon.com/Denon_Docks_iPod_Compatibility.pdf and make sure of the compatibility and features you will see. Its worth the click to not be disappointed.
In case BB deletes the compatibility link I provided, just go the Denon website and perform a search on the item you are looking for. Once there, look for the compatibility link and click on it. You will be brought to a PDF that will show compatibility and features to expect.

What's not so great: Does not Recognize Ipod touch and wont work with mini.-Does it work with any?
I bougth this product with a Denon AVR 1609. When I connect the Ipod Touch the AVR will only display "Loading" but it wont actually do anything-- NOT EVEN charge it. I tried it with a friend's Ipod Mini and it will recognize it and display "playlist" but it wont actually do anything except charge it. Getting my 100 bucks back tomorrow!!!!
