What's great about it: Handles *almost* everything I throw at it. What's not so great: Will not print transparencies
"The Best Buy description of this product states that it will print transparencies, but it will not. Even Epson's website states that you cannot print transparencies.
This was kind of a surprise to me, but I assume it has to do with the transport mechanism and the way the printer detects where the paper is throughout the paper path.
A disappointment, but a minor one considering how well the Workforce 600 handles the rest of it's tasks."

What's great about it: Ease of operation What's not so great: perhpas a little noisey when printing but not a big deal
"We received this all-in-one from our adult kids for Christmas. I was able to install this on boith an XP desktop(wired) and a Vista laptop (wireless) without calling for help! That should say it all!"

What's great about it: Software much better than HP What's not so great: Jammed once until I tightened guide
"One thing that hasn't been talked about much in these reviews is the bundled software that comes with this easy to use machine. The scanning interface is SO much easier to use than what I had with an HP all-in-one. And the OCR system only yields a few corrections necessary compared to what I've seen with other OCR's. I didn't buy it mainly for photos but the quality and many options you have without even using the computer are a vast array. The text printing isn't quite as good as HP but not bad at all. Fax works like a charm especially with the document feeder which my HP didn't have. Double-sided printing is manual feed only but gives less chance of multiple sheets being grabbed when you try printing one side with many copies then printing page 2 on the back side when still slightly damp. I'v eonly had this a couple days but I see that I will be quite pleased."

What's great about it: It worked the first time, easy to install, great price What's not so great: Little noisey
"Okay so you're frustrated about installing a new all in one; welcome to my world". I consider myself tech savvy but not an IT guy. I owned a Dell 966 that after 18 months broke (a 1 cent piece of plastic broke and couldn't be replaced without spending more than the cost of a new one). I first tried a Lexmark as I thought I could use the Dell ink I owned but found out they are not compatible and seeing how the Dell really is a Lexmark I decided to try a different brand. I'd had good experience in the past with HP so I tried the J6470 which had WIFI which would be a great feature (then my daughters computer would be able to connect). Wow what a mistake. Not only did the install not go good but I kept getting errors that the printer was trying to install but couldn't and this is after I gave up on the WIFI install and successfully installed with USB. I couldn't uninstall and to say I was frustrated is an understatement. I had to rebuild my Dell laptop and start over. Which brings me to the Epson Workforce 600. It took me all of 20 minutes to install the WIFI capable printer (you do need to use a network cable on the first computer though). It took the first time with no problems at all. I then added the software to my daughters laptop with no problems (just a note: you do not need to use the network cable to add any additional computers even though the instruction don't tell you that - good to know). I've tried the fax - works perfect, I've tried the scanner - works perfect (although you need to use the scanner software as it won't scan to computer from the console on the printer). I also scanned to a USB/SD card which worked perfectly as well. I've printed in black and color as well as printed pictures on glossy paper - worked perfect. I really think this is a great ALL IN ONE device. It's my first experience with Epson and I have to say it's been good so far. By the way it comes with a 2 year parts and labor warranty that I hope I won't have to use. I hope this was helpful and thanks to all those who wrote reviews before me to help me in my choice."

What's great about it: speed What's not so great: difficult to set up
"I purchased this printer to replace an old HP printer.
I had to call technical support to set up the wireless feature. I am pretty technically savvy. I was on line with them for about an hour or so. That was my only frustration. But now I love it.
I wish the printing was a little more bold and crisp, but I'm sure there is something I can tweak to make that happen.
The printer is loud but it is so fast that I don't mind the volume."

What's great about it: Multiple Funtions What's not so great: Lines through scanned documents
"I bought this product less than two months ago. I did not buy the Best Buy warranty, as the Epson sales rep. in the Besy Buy store informed me that Epson already has a two year warrenty on the product.
After using the product for around a month, I started scanning paper documents to generate an electroninc file system. After about twenty scans through the automatic feeder, however, I realized there were very thick lines from the top to the bottom of all the electronic pages. If I placed the paper directly on the glass, the lines were not there. I called Epson, and they could not fix it or refer me to anyone who could repair it. They are currently shipping me a new "working unit" at their cost, however, they have placed a hold on my credit card for the amount of a new unit, ultimately requiring me to buy a new one right before Christmas; although I'm told I will get the funds back after I send them my malfuntioning unit. They will not guarantee me that I will get a new unit, however; just a "fully functioning unit." So now after buying a brand new unit, I suspect I will end up with a refurbished unit that would have originally cost me 60-75% of what I originally paid. I suggest you go with an HP. That's what I origianlly intended to buy, but got sold on this unit by the sales rep (who was possing as a Best Buy rep...I didn't discover this until I had already purchased the item and was speaking with the cashier after the sale.) Buyer beware...."

What's great about it: easy to install; works with Vista, XP; good price, takes some time to complete installation What's not so great: requires use of CD to add new computer; no 4x6 bypass tray
"This printer is worthy buying. I have multiple computers/laptops using this printer. Easy to setup and install. Make sure you do not lose the setup disk for it contains the printer drivers. Works with Vista, XP. Nice 4X6 photo and general print quality. Scan and fax works okay. No 4X6 photo paper bypass tray. Need CD + included ethernet cable to setup wireless. USB printer cable required for wired connect. This priniter works better than my old HP priinter. Can print from multitude of software (office, Kodak easyshare, etc.) Brought this printer during holiday sale."
Lived up to my expectations.

What's great about it: The setup for the wireless was extremely easy. Took time to install but great instructions to walk through. What's not so great: Seems like the text would be crisp and clean in printing.
"I bought this printer strictly to not buy one from the other company. I haven't given Epson a try in a very long time I have been a happy owner of the other brand.
Having now tried it out, I am looking forward to this printer and everything that it should be able to do.
I would recommend this printer to anyone who has had a bad experience with another brand.
another one I looked at but wasn't able to pick up at the store was the artisan 700.
maybe next time, get this printer though it is great!"

What's great about it: Over all performance. Excellent printer. Photo printing quality is awesome. What's not so great: Size of the printer is alittle big but its wonderful.
"You can not tell that it came from the printer vs the photo store like Walgreens or Kodak. If you looking for a printer that does everything with quality results, this is the one to buy. I am so shocked at how the photos print out. WOW! I highly recommend this printer. I use this printer mostly on wireless network with my laptop at home and its just awesome."

What's great about it: Easy to set up What's not so great: Downloading pictures from camera
"Purchase the Epson Workforce 600 yesterday. Everything is working great except I am unable to download pictures using the USB connection. Tried two Cameras, Sony and Canon. Call Epson and was finally told after many tries thatThese cameras would not work with the Epson. My opinion is that if these two cameras won't work then what cameras will. I like the printer over the HP I had, but all functions must work in order for me to recommend it."

What's great about it: Fast printing, easy set up, looks nice What's not so great: Does not have true "built-in double-sided printing" (aka duplexer printer)
"The box claims the printer has a "built-in double-sided printing" feature. However, this is not the case. The "built-in double-sided printing" is only a window that pops up instructing you how to put the paper back through to print on the other side. If you want true automatic double-sided printing, then look for printers with a duplexer feature. However, note that neither HP nor Lexmark list duplexer on their box when in fact some of their wireless printers do true automatic double-sided printing (aka duplexer)."

What's great about it: Print fast and easy to set up. What's not so great: Printing is loud!
"I bought mine a week ago and it is nice. Very fast when it is printing in black, the color is reasonable. The only things that I do not like about it is that it is loud when its printing."
What's great about it: Set up was easy, was on sale so the price wasn't bad, good features, excellent printint speed, What's not so great: No complaints so far
"I been looking for a good All In One Printer since my last one wouldn't print any more, it was a Dell and I didn't use it very much so I wasn't very happy that it didn't last long, so I wanted to find a good All in One Printer for a good price, it came down to buying a Cannon or a Epson, Cannon had some good features but it was kinda big and I wasn't sure about how well it was made and the reviews were ok, I looked at the Epson and I like what I saw, good features, not to big and the print speed was excellent and it was on sale so that was even better and had some excellent reviews so I went down to Best Buy and looked at it and talked to the sale person and was convinced this was a best bet for me, so far so good."

What's great about it: Easy Installation, Great Quality, Fast, Economical What's not so great: Somewhat Noisy
"From box to printed sheet, I only spent about ten minutes setting up this printer (not including the software installation - that took another fifteen minutes). I have not had any problems with the printer so far."
