What's great about it: Great for high quality photo printing What's not so great: Uses lots of ink
"If you are looking for an all in one printer/fax for business use, the Workforce 500 is not for you. Because it's a high quality printer, it uses lots of ink. I went through one black ink catridge in one week using medium quality printing (Text Mode). The next quality grade down is Draft Mode and it prints everything light grey (hard to read and you can not fax this). There is no setting in between these two modes to save on ink. Also, Epson's ink catridges are not refillable and they do not have a recycling program for their ink catridges."

"I bought this for home office work. I am an experienced photographer (since 1976). I had hoped this product would do well for the in-frequent FAX and family photo output. I am very dissapointed. Photos have vertical lines, "tractor marks" on the prints from the wheels that pull the paper through the printer, and it is very noisy."

What's great about it: Prints pretty fast
"I brought this because I really needed a fax machine and the other features was just an extra bonus. I used all the features except the fax machine for at least a few months and everything was fine until I decided to use the fax and that's when I encountered my first problem. The fax machine did not work at all. After trying everything I could think of, I decided to call Epson. After talking to everyone from customer service to the supervisor, they offered to replace the machine, but I would have to go through to much to get it fixed so I just left it the way it was. I will never buy an Epson anything ever again."

"best one ever nevered had a problem.It is easy to install and it prints veary fast. I dont have to stick my memory card and then print the picters. I can jest stick my memory card in my printer and print."

What's great about it: After I decided to buy, I was pleasantly surprised to find it was on sale! What's not so great: I cannot find anything negative about this machine.
"I have five inkjet printers of another brand, and was reluctant to switch. But after reading the specs and comparing the WorkForce 500 to many others, I was convinced. I got two surprises: (1) After deciding to buy it, I discovered that it was on sale that day; and (2) What really surprised me was the fact that this printer does far more than is described in the specs. It will be a great experience as I continue discovering its capabilities."
What's great about it: Great color printing. easy set-up. What's not so great: USB cable extra. Loud when printer engages, then it gets quiet.
"I am so pleased with this in 4 in 1. The colors are clear and crisp, as is the black for documents. It interacts with other programs that I use. The ink is lasting, I have had to print and reprint color coded seating charts all week and alot of pictures, too, and the ink level is doing well. That was a big concern of mine. It functions quickly, I do not have the faster USB, but, the 1.0 is good. I am happy that I chose this unit, so far."
