What's great about it: Excellent picture quality. What's not so great: Sound systen needs a little help.
"After researching with Consumer Reports, we decided to check out the Samsung Series 8. It was the best choice we could have made. This set is the perfect size for our living room, large without being overpowering. The picture is crystal clear, with a wide viewing area. The only problem is the sound, which is a bit muffled ... but apparently this is common with flat-screens, so it doesn't figure in to our overall 5 Star Rating. Get this tv and add a few speakers, and you'll be on here writing a good review, too!"

What's great about it: The picture, sound and connections
"This TV has confirmed my Samsung preference. It has an incredible picture and great sound. It was easy to hook up all my other components. We even used it tofor slideshows from digital cameras used for a picture scavenger hunt on Halloween. Two thumbs up!"

What's great about it: Clear picture, large screen What's not so great: non high defchannels dont look that good
"This is one of the best tv's ever. It has superior clearness and the colors on the screen are lush and vivid. The High definition channels look unbelievably real. The non hd channels dont look as good but every non hd channel will be changed to hd february 2009 so its just a few months. I would say that this tv is worth the price and i would reccomend it anyday. If you want to feel like your actualy in the show or movie, then buy this tv!"

"I love this TV and I had the BEST experience w/ Best Buy in Rockford IL. Sales: perfect Delivery" perfect Installation; perfect Calibration: beyond perfect. The picture is amazing and the geek squad made it all painless and non-scary for a 61 year old widow. This is the most happy I have ever been w/ any purchase ever. I chose a low grade for the sound as I bought a Samsung Sound Bar to compliment this great TV. My sister and Brother in law went to Best Buy in Elgin and bought the exact same products."

"When buying this TV I read other reviews that they say you can see the picture on the surrounding plastic around the screen, that is not true at all. Maybe, a glare from a light in the room or outside light but, not the picture from the TV. The TV is freaking awesome. The picture is great. The sound is okay but, with a TV like this you will/should have a surround sound system. I love it."

"You will not be disappointed with this TV. I was holding out for the 950 but I must say it would be hard to match the picture quality of this set. I compared this TV side-by-side with my Pioneer Elite Kuro and the Samsung actually looked better. If you're in the market for an incredible TV and don't want to spend a fortune, this is your TV."

"This tv is amazing. We have had it for about a month or so and use it all the time. Huge upgrade from a 27 inch tube tv. Have not used any of the interactive features yet. Definitely worth it."
