The headphones make all the difference. I picked these up today and it was like i was listening to all new music on my iPhone.
There are more expensive headphone out there but if you look at the specifications these match or beat many of the more expensive items. I could see that these headphones are built bulletproof but I doubt they will wear out quickly.
Do be careful opening the package, I lost one of the replacement ear rubbers as it fell out of the package as I was opening it and then it bounced to who knows where.
But really, unless you are shelling out the dough for custom fitted noise canceling, professional, in ear monitors, don't pay $100 for headphones when you can buy these.

These are great headphones. Excellent bass as well as mid and higher range tones. Use these daily to listen to light jazz, and oldies. They fit well and I like the in line volume control.

These are only used for listening to radio broadcast of the sporting event I am at. Sound quality isn't as critical as comfort is. The buds do not have much "cushion" so they aren't soft but they aren't uncomfortable.
What's great about it: Ease of use - volume control on the cord
What's not so great: Not as comfortable as thye should be

I bought these to replace some old Sony earbuds. The sound quality is good for the sale price at Best Buy (better than the lower priced Sonys I purchased than returned). They are comfortable in my small-ish ears. I've had two other pairs of Sony earbuds that both broke within a year (the sound went out in one ear). I've only had these about a month, so I can't comment on the durability--but I'm hoping they last more than a year. I use these at work, almost all day, 5 days a week. This model has equal length cords for each ear, and a very small in-line volume control (so small I forget it's there).

I bought 2 pairs on closeout because I liked the first pair I had so much. There is a newer model that I have not tried. I use these most often at the gym. The sound quality and comfort are good. I like ear buds with an in line volume control, which these have. I also like the ear piece cords to be of equal length. They are. My previous lasted about 1 year. I am always catching them with my hands when I jog, and I suspect that broke one of the wires internally. I never remember to tuck them under my shirt, which might help with that.
What's great about it: in line volume control, sound

I bought these earbuds because I know from past experiences sony makes quality earbuds that sound great. These are a low budget alternative to more expensive earbuds but you do not have to sacrifice quality for price. These sound great, good bass, good mids and good treble.
I just wish sony made the cords as durable as they used to be. the cord on these earbuds feels a bit cheap but it hasn't broken yet so we shall see.
What's great about it: Sound quality, price, comfort.
What's not so great: Cheap feeling cord.

I'm real pleased with these earphones. They are very comfortable and the volume control on the cord is convenient. Sound quality is good, however, I wish it had a wee bit more bass. All in all, a great produce for the money.

I purchased two pair of these earphones for my kids because the price was great. I'm tired of constantly replacing the original ipod earphones and was hoping to find a reasonable alternative. The sound quality was lousy, and the earbuds did not fit comfortably, so I returned the second pair. My son kept the first pair because his had broken and he was desperate. Otherwise, I would have returned them as well.
What's great about it: great sale price
What's not so great: poor sound quality/comfort

Very disappointing purchase. They crackled from day one. I would've returned them by now but haven't had the time. Were marked down from $29.99 to $19.99 so no huge loss, but a waste of money.

Cons:
1. The sound is great if you are sitting completely still and not breathing. Any movement that involves contact with the cord (e.g. the cord rubbing against your clothes) will be amplified like a stethoscope into the ear buds. Other sounds like chewing or breathing also interfere with your sound. In other words, if you plan to be alive and listen to music at the same time, these aren't the headphones for you.
2. After fairly light use for a little over a year, the left ear bud has stopped working, and Sony wants to charge about $17 for an exchange (I haven't checked with Best Buy yet to see if they'll give me store credit for them).

For the price of $30, I was not disappointed with the sound quality, however, I was not amazed either. They felt good with three sizes of ear penetrators to choose from. The most glaring problem is that after about a year of use, the left earbud stopped producing sound. A few months later, the right one stopped working too!

This is the second pair I have owned and both sets the left ear bud fails to work after a while.
The first pair I bought the left ear piece went out after about 2 weeks, so I returned them thinking I just got a bad pair. Now my second pair has also had the left ear piece break. What the hell?
I will not be buying a third set.

These headphones are comfortable, espicially for people w/ small ears. However, if you have waxy ears, they will become gooey quickly, b/c they fit into the ear canal quite closely.
What's great about it: Ear buds fit smaller ear sizes well.
What's not so great: The headphones can get waxy quickly.
