What's great about it: Small Size
What's not so great: Picture Quality, Hard to use touch screen
"I had been waiting for this camera to come down in price and right after Thanksgiving it DID! I was so pleased as I had my eye on this particular model for months. I have to say, I'm very disappointed in this camera. The picture quality is average at best. The touch screen is very hard to use. It comes with a very small stylus that you can attach to the camera. When you touch it on the screen you have to do it two or three times to get it to work. This is a very hard camera to use."

What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: everthing the picture quality is real bad very blurry only use if you are taking a picture of something still not moving
"I took it back after trying to work it foe over 5 hours took it to store to show me how to work it before returning it and he said I had a bad one so he gave me a new one I charged that one still no sucess took it back to the store to another worker and he said that these cameras are known for the poor quality being that it is a new thing with the touch screen. Also said that nikon was known for the blurry pictures when you are taking a picture in motion. Wish I had know that before I bought it. A good camera is olympus FE-4010 12 megapixel very easy to use."

What's great about it: Features are great, the touchscreen is responsive
What's not so great: Has a little bit of a learning curve
"This is an awesome camera. You must really read the instructions so that you know what you are doing, but once you do that, you are set. I read other reviews that talked about poor picture quality, but I have not had that experience. If you set up the camera and operate it the way it says then picture quality is not an issue. This is not the average pick up and shoot camera. It is a great camera and I caught it for a great price during Black Friday. I am so glad that I own this camera."

What's not so great: HORRIBLE PICTURE QUALITY
"I used the camera for the first time on NYE and the pictures were horrible. They were Grainy and not clear. Everyone looked distorted.
I returned the camera the next day and got something else that has much better picture quality.
The only thing I liked about the camera was the touch screen and the large LCD Screen."

What's great about it: Cool Features, I got it for $179 on Black Friday
What's not so great: Pictures were spotty even after cleaning the lens
"I liked it for the features...touch screen, video capable. But the pictures that were coming out were spotty. I cleaned the lens and spots remaine. Not sure if the camera I had had a dirty sensor or not. I was not about to open it up to clean it, instead I returned for a full refund."

"I bought this camera on a whim at a door buster sale this past Saturday. I figured it must be a decent camera at that price point, as well as a good deal since it was marked down from $299 to $179. There's a very good reason the camera was marked down that much: it stinks.
The "good": the touchscreen is huge. That's it. And even with that one "positive" assessment, there's still a lot of negative. First off, the resolution on the screen is pretty horrible, especially for something that size. It was difficult to make out details, even when zooming in. Also, the touchscreen wasn't always responsive and would freeze up on occasion. The only thing I liked was the ability to tap on the screen as to where you wanted to focus.
The bad: I'll start with the most important, picture quality. Horrible, horrible pictures. Often times fuzzy; lots of noise and distortion in the background, especially in medium or low light.
The user interface was also pretty horrible. One example, the camera uses generic icons for for the various scene modes, which are difficult to decipher. A title does pop up over the various icons when selected, but you're not able to scoll through them to see the titles. Rather, you have to select a scene mode, the camera then goes into that scene mode, and if you don't like it or didn't know what it was...you have to start the whole process over again.
Another big annoyance: the camera doesn't have the ability to take B&W pics (or sepia, etc.) in real time. Rather, you have to take a color picture, open up the picture in view mode, select the color adjust, and then convert the picture to B&W. A huge pain in the butt, plus I really like to see the B&W image on the lcd screen before I take it.
Lastly, the novelty of the touchscreen runs out pretty quickly. Personally, I didn't like having any tactile feedback from buttons, especially critical functions like zoom. Yes you can "swipe" through the photos ala an iphone, but who cares? The iphone touchscreen is great because it creates the ability to convert the device into whatever the user wants it to be. The S60 is always going to be a camera, and that's it.
There's no need for a touchscreen, especially since it chews up so much battery life and doesn't work that well.
I will say that Best Buy was great about taking it back. No re-stocking fee. It may have helped that I exchanged it for a more expensive Canon."

What's great about it: video records, easy to use, pics fine in naturally lit settings

"I thought I was getting a great deal on a cute and simple to use camera. Unfortunately, the times I most want to use it - at night, inside, spur of the moment - it takes terrible photos! Unless you have a statue-esque hold on the camera, pics come out blurry. In the dark photos are grainy and blurry, no matter how many attempts to retake the photos. I was at a Halloween party and asked someone to take a photo of my husband and me. Three attempts and the photos were still awful. The girl taking the photo pulled out her blackberry phone, took a pic of us, and it was a 1000xs better. A low priced camera is not worthwhile if the product doesn't ever produce."

"So I just bought this camera during the black friday sale. Typically, I research products before I purchase an item, but I didn't this time around....BAD MISTAKE. I started to play around with the pics and was concerned with how the pics were appearing on the screen. So I read the instructions to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong and I wasn't. I went out for my bday last night and was in a bar and the pics came out horrible!!! Almost every shot came out with people having red eye....I thought it was the setting we were in, but of course everyone else taking pics were not having similar problems. So I got home and checked the reviews and notice many of the reviewers say the same thing. Downloaded the pics on my computer and Yes the pics come out much clearer, but what a flaw!!! I still had red eye problems. I just returned the camera to best buy and bought a simple fuji camera...what a disappointment!!!"

"I'm not an owner of this camera but I borrowed my brothers for Warped Tour 09' that day because I didn't have my mine with me. When I got to Warped Tour it started pouring outside, So I thought that if I used the camera in the rain it would stop working or become very slow. But I used it outside during the rain for the whole day because it didn't seem it was going to stop anytime soon. I took the pictures in the rain and they came out perfectly clear the pictures weren't as everyone says 'grainy' and the rain didn't show up in any of the pictures. What stunk was that my favorite band came on at the end of the day and by that time the battery died on the camera and I didn't get to take pictures of them. So the battery life isn't the best. But besides that this camera is amazing. I defiantly recomend it."

The pictures are horrible, very blurry. Reveiws all over the internet about this. .Wish I would have read more before buying! I got this as a present bc the person that got it for me bought it 3 weeks before my birthday best buy wouldnt return it! Even got the extended warranty but bc there is "NOTHING WRONG" with the camera and that it JUST takes horrible pictures there is nothing they can do! WOW, really just overall waste of money. I have a Canon 50d and just wanted a point and shoot for taking pictures for ebay. But honestly the pictures are so bad I have to go back to using my 50d! I will honestly throw this camera in the trash! Its useless!"

"all right so i spent a lot of time going over reviews for this item and i was a bit sketchy on whether i wanted to purchase it or not. i purchased it this morning and i opened it right away. its a great camera, it takes getting used to in order to use it to the fullest and the price is a bit too much i think. the touch screen is great, it works better with the pointer. the quality of the pictures is a lot better than most people say. its their opinion on it so don't listen to just what they have to say, just buy it and try it for yourself! and hey if you don't like it you can take it back!"
