What's great about it: Nice, durable mouse
What's not so great: Keyboard freezes up permanently after short usage
It's great when it works, too bad it doesn't work for too long.
It has alot of nice features, feels good and has good response but it's a piece of junk. I went thru 2 before I got something else. The first one lasted somewhere in the 4-6 week range before the keyboard just stopped working. I put in new batteries, reloaded the software, tried the reset button and anything else I could think of - nothing worked. I plugged in my old keyboard to search the M/S website for a "cure" but that was a waste of time and effort. The seller was kind enough to exchange it for another one.
The second one lasted close to three months then the same thing happened as the first one. Pitched it in the trash and got something entirely different.
The mouse is durable and I like the additional buttons for magnification, tilt/scroll wheel, etc and I am still using that but the keyboard is an absolute nightmare in frustration.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: No wires, easy to set up, easy to use, works flawlessly, great price
What's not so great: Nothing!
Don't know why all the bad reviews!! I've had this keyboard and mouse over 1½ years and I have no complaints whatsoever! I have only replaced the batteries in the keyboard and the mouse one time and I am on the computer at least 6-8 hours a day and that doesn't count the time other members of the family use it.
The design is great, the mouse works flawlessly and I am thinking about buying another one to have just in case something happens to this one!!
Would I recommend this to a friend?? Yes I would, AND to a family member, as I have already recommended it to both!!

What's great about it: Good feel with natural curved design
What's not so great: Wireless connectivity lost frequently
The keyboard randomly looses wireless connection at any distance. The mouse works great but without a keyboard does it really matter. I received this product free form microsoft when my previous wireless desktop set died after a year of perfect use. Unfortunately thew new models don't live up to there predecessors.

What's great about it: Full function
What's not so great: Its rather "large" compared to most desktop keyboards.
After a little trouble with the installation (READ EVERYTHING AND DON'T ASSUME ANYTHING) this keyboard is a great inexpensive desktop unit which along with synchronized optical mouse allows single strke access to ANY function you can imagine! Needless to say make sure you have spare batteries!

What's not so great: mouse
I love th key board. But after using the mouse for 5 or 6 months it acted like low battery so I chaged them. It didn't work ( tried several batteries. It was so agravating so I went and had to spend more money on a differant keyboard and mouse.

What's great about it: Easy to use, great range, very comfortable.
What's not so great: The tile windows button is right next to the CTRL key
My computer setup is a little different than most so I was a bit concerned that the USB sensor wouldn't reach the area where I keep my keyboard and mouse but it's worked without a hitch. I'm an ambidextrous mouser - not having a wire to move around is *so* liberating. So is being able to put the keyboard anywhere I want it. Better than I thought it'd be.
I didn't like the look of the wrist-rest area when I first got this but it's not so bad now that I'm used to it. The broad area means I can have the keyboard perched halfway on the edge of my desk and still have a firm surface to prop my wrists. A lot more comfortable to type on than a conventional keyboard. The keys have a gentle wave in the layout that's very easy to adapt to. I never got along with those ergonomic keyboards that were like hills but this was an easy shift from a standard QWERTY keyboard for me.
The thing I love most about this keyboard though is the fact that the ESC key is much lower than the majority of the other keys on the board. Makes it a lot easier to not escape out of things on accident.

What's great about it: Not much
What's not so great: Everything
KEYBOARD: This is the worse and last Microsoft accessory I'm ever going to buy the range is only 1/3 of what they said it was, the keyboard sometimes will just stop typing while your typing for no reason and then you have to take the batteries out wait a couple of seconds and put them back for it to work a again . MOUSE: The mouse is the only thing in the bundle that works but sometimes the mouse pointer will just start move slowly across the screen when your not even touching it. SOFTWARE: And the software will interfere with REALTEK's programing and It messes up to where it will only mute with the button on the keyboard if it is held down. It is just JUNK!!!!!!!

What's great about it: Design
What's not so great: Price, only comes in one color.
I first bought this combo during black friday. I was super excited about the look, and was suprised about the reliability Microsoft provides. However, I was wrong. When I 1st installed it gave me problems with the signal, 2nd the mouse eats batteries way to long I am changing them every week. It will be best to get rechargable batteries.
The best thing about the combo is the keyboard. The keyboard is really comfortable, like the cool design, buttons do not make the tapping noice which is a plus. The keyboard comes with a lot of extra buttons to make the use more confiniant. Overall I give the keyboard an A.
The mouse is where I will stay away from Microsoft mouses. The mouse starting pilling after the second month, the scrool button doesn't work properly, the setup of the two buttons on the side is really confusing. Overall I give the mouse a C-.
If I was you I would by the keyboard seperatly, and forget about the mouse. $100+ is way to much for this product.

What's great about it: Keyboard is quiet with soft feel. Very ergonomic, good for wrists.
What's not so great: Annoying "weak signal" notifications. Eats lithium batteries like candy.
This keyboard feels great to type on but I kept getting annoying weak signal notifications, even though both keyboard and mouse were well in range. Also, the mouse has a magnify feature that seems possessed, hard to turn off and easy to turn on. I quickly grew tired of replacing batteries every other day. I do not recommend this keyboard. We returned our keyboard and mouse.

What's great about it: Comfort, Features & Wireless Mouse
What's not so great: Keyboard Range
I've purchased all three versions and just returned the V3. MS cannot deliver this keyboard without a range problem. Further than 2' from the receiver and it skips characters constantly. Very good keyboard feel and features. If only it worked. FYI I replaced two of these - one for my office and one at home -- same problem. Must be an inherent design flaw. The wireless laser mouse 6000 included in this combo is excellent - great range, comfort and features.

What's great about it: It looks like it will work
What's not so great: I won't work. anything past 3 feet and your toast.
If there is any other keyboard and mouse combo you have your eye on buy that instead. I had nothing but problems from the very beginning. I thought I was making a good decision when I bought microsoft but I was mistaken. Setup is easy but getting it to work when its not right next to the wireless device is another story. I couldn't type but a couple of letters at times. I constantly had to reset the keyboard just to type. I thought it had something to do with the mouse but I was wrong. When your sitting down at the keyboard you just want to do what you have to and then get up not reset every three letters just so you can type in the web address. When I decided to go back to my original keyboard I discovered that it completely deleted the drivers for the original mouse and keyboard. I've never been so scared that I didn't save a receipt in my life. Save your money and you won't be disappointed.

It is a nice setup. Lightweight and a nice design. The range isn't that important. Who could see their work from 30 ft anyway?!? Best deal, open box and on sale. $60 after taxes, looks new.

What's great about it: I like the sleek design and the way you can raise the front as well as the back.
What's not so great: Signal doesn't reach beyond ten feet
Nice product, decent price but the claim that it reaches 30 ft is greatly exagerated. If you plan on being on your desk with this, then get it. if you wanted a keyboard and mouse that you could work with from a short distance, then do not get it. i went with a Bluetooth, that seems to work pretty darn well.

What's not so great: Claimed to go "Up to 30 feet". I got about 12 feet.
I was expecting to pay $99 so I was suprised that it was on sale for $79 when I got to the counter. Then I was again impressed to find that it came with batteries. It worked great in 10-12 foot range, but dropped out any further. Even tried new batteries but no go, I needed 20 ft. or better. Returned it...will try Blue tooth version next.

What's great about it: Nice design. Light weight. No wires!
What's not so great: Wireless range limited
Setup was super-simple. Keyboard design really nice (although I didn't get the chance to try out all of its claimed features). Mouse also quite comfortable and functional. Box claims a wireless range of up to 30'. I required only 15'. Mouse worked most of the time (had to be *reset* several times), but keyboard didn't capture a single keystroke. I had to move up to about 12' to get a response despite having a straight, uncluttered path between the keyboard and the PC's dongle.
Regarding my recommendation, I think this would have been exactly what I was looking for had my range been less than 12'. Considering the manufacturer's claims, however, I wouldn't really recommend it.

What's great about it: comfortable and ....no wires
What's not so great: signal not so great
Tried two diffrent ones of these, both didn't work well even with me moving the little signal thing so it was nearly in front of it. It tended to drop the o and the f with both keyboards. Althogh the short cut keys were awsome as was the mouse I got with the combo. I missed having a numb lock light but hey, no leash for me to kick and pull and tangle up in that was a good trade. But as you might guess I'm still in search of the perfect Wireless keyboard. .

What's great about it: Quality look and feel. Smooth operation.
What's not so great: None to date
Finally purchased a wireless keyboard and mouse to get rid of cable and can't believe I waited this long. I love this keyboard/mouse. Very easy to install and have had zero complaints. Silent keyboard is great for late night typing and mouse is super smooth and accurate. Both have quality and comfortable feel. Best of all, I purchased on sale for just 63.99. Great deal. Couldn't be happier.
