What's great about it: very compact size; different CD repeat modes; programmable alarm can be set to weekdays only; iphone/ipod dock
What's not so great: CD player is very noisy as it spins
"This product is perfect for my needs as I needed an alarm clock/radio/cd player for my bedside table.
The good:
The compact size is fantastic!
The price for what you get is awesome!
The alarm is programmable and can be set to only go off on weekdays.
The CD player has various repeat modes so I can have it repeat once or repeat all night.
The iphone/ipod dock is icing on the cake. I love the slide-out dock.
The sound is very good for a clock/radio/cd player! The sound is adequate for my needs. This is not a stereo system - it is a clock/radio/cd player so do not expect Bose sound quality.
The bad:
The CD player is very noisy as it spins - distractingly so, if the sound is not turned up very high. Otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars."

"I got this for my 8 year old who has an ipod and Cd's. For her needs it's great becasue it's easy to use. For me I would have liked the soudn to be a little better."

What's great about it: Lots of potential features to like...
What's not so great: Buzzer alarm is not loud enough
"I really wanted to like this. It has lots of features, but thte inability to make the alarm louder really forced me to give up on it.
The tuner in the radio leaves alot to be desired, also. THe fact it would allow me to play CDs or dock my ipod waqs a great attraction, however, it just didn't lvie up to expectations. This unit is going back, and I will resort to my 26-year-old GE Alarm clock for now..."

What's great about it: Small and compact, yet has a great sound
What's not so great: I don't like the antenna - wish it were built-in
"If you're looking for a clock/radio/CD/IPod combination this is the best purchase for the money. I did not have time to figure out what headphones work with this product, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. It is small enough that it does not take a lot of room on my desk and the battery back-up makes it nice for power outages. All in all I'm extremely happy with the purchase and I bought a 2nd one for home."

What's great about it: iPhone dock, easy to use buttons, large LED display
What's not so great: CD player is only springloaded, not latched so it can fall easily especially around kids.
"The clock is good for what it is. Great sound, nice display, uses minimal space. Nice features for a little gadget. Easy to travel with. I just think there should be a latch to lock in the CD since it is basically the clock display and can open too easily."

What's not so great: haven't found anything bad yet
"I was at Best Buy and was reading reviews on my iPhone. I liked this model, as it was the cheapest and smallest. I read the review where someone said that it was too bright on it's lowest setting and pondered for a few minutes whether I should get it or not. It wouldn't bother me, but would drive my wife crazy. I decided to go ahead and get it. I'm SO glad I did. The reviewer who said it was too bright must be overly sensitive to light. On the lowest dim setting I can barely read the numbers.
I can fall to sleep to rain with Ambiance app and wake up to my music. Love it!"

"We are currently using the clock in our living room and use the unit as both a time piece and home stereo. The clock face is easy to read from a distance, the sound quality is good, it's easy to use, and it's self setting which is a huge plus. We love it and think it was a great deal."

What's great about it: Looks great, sound is decent
What's not so great: Way too bright at lowest setting, Hard to set time zone
"At $99, this unit isn't cheap, but after going back and forth over Best Buy's assortment of clock radios for about an hour, this one stood out as the coolest looking, and the fact that it works with iPOD's, CD's, other MP3 players, and has an AM/FM radio, seemed to justify the stiff price. It also sets its time automatically, but figuring out how to change the time zone turned out to be a royal pain. There's something not quite right in the directions, but I got it figured out. Sound is decent, but what ruined it was that even at the dimmest setting, having this alarm clock in the room is like something out of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I thought it was great to have a taller clock so I could see the time in the middle of the night. The only way you can have this clock facing you is if you wear sunglasses to bed, better yet, a blowtorch shield. I'm taking it back."

What's great about it: Cool design, many features, nice sound
What's not so great: Too many buttons, ipod docking is difficult
"I really like the design of this product, for example, how the iPod dock pops out, but it is better in theory than application. It is very difficult to position the iPod into the dock and the platform is not sturdy, so the clock is always sliding around on my nightstand. There are also too many buttons which makes it confusing at first. The sound is good for its purpose. The cd player is neatly hidden and the remote control is a nice touch. All in all I like it, but I do think it is overpriced. I am keeping it, but I am not sure I would buy it again."

What's great about it: Lots of intuitive features, automatic time and date setup
What's not so great: Even the dimmest setting causes the bedroom to glow
"I purchased this last night, based on the wealth of features and positive reviews before me. I was looking to replace an alarm clock with a display that was too bright for my bedroom. However, even on its dimmest setting this is the BRIGHTEST alarm clock I have ever purchased. It lit up the entire room. The reviews before me, and the display unit at Best Buy, led me to believe this was a dim unit, but it isn't. I'm going to have to return it right away.
In addition, there was something strange about the LCD display - every once in a while all the options on the display would light up at the same time, making it impossible to read the time. Some of the buttons seemed to have a delayed reaction too.
Will go back to purchase an iHome that dims all the way down to off instead."

What's great about it: Self Setting Clock

"I really wanted a dual alarm clock that would let me dock my ipod touch 2g. This works great! The clock sets itself - WAHOO! The alarms seem pretty easy to set. I really like having the remote control. The remote is a little smaller than a credit card. One new feature for me is the dimmer control for the display. My husband really appreciates not being blinded by my clock in the middle of the night. Even the dimmest setting is pleasant and doesn't make you squint to actually see it.
Batteries were installed in both remote and the unit itself (backup). An extra battery was included also."

"If you are looking for a clock radio with a lot of features, a good display, pretty good sound, and easy to use, then you should pick this up. It is a little pricey, but you can't really get anything close to this for a lower price, atleast not at best buy. I love the slide out ipod dock!"

"I was very disappointed in the sound quality. I bought this based on Sony's reputation for excellent sound quality. Unfortunately this is not the case with product. Als,o the alarm buzzer is not very loud and the power cord cannot be disconnect from the unit. I had to return the product."

What's great about it: Modern design, big LCD
What's not so great: unreliable wake-up using CD
"Owned for about 2 weeks now. Kept an eye out and once this went on sale I got one. It looks good and has a good feature set. But, I use custom CDs to wake up and twice now the CD has not started, nor the buzzer that supposed to come on as backup. Late for work - boo! I'll try another brand of CD next - see if that helps. Otherwise I like it overall."

What's great about it: Design, very clear LCD with very wide angle, iPod dock, etc...
What's not so great: Cannot unplug the power cable for installtion - minor point though.
"Once again Sony has produced another excellent product!
My first Sony clock radio is still working great after over 30 years of service - the only problem with it is that it only has one alarm. My job now has alternating shifts on a 2-week rotation - need 2 alarms!
This clock radio covers the alarms with choices - iPod, Radio, CD or buzzer for each alarm.
The unit is built well too - heavy for its size - 2 lbs.
The best part of the clock radio is the display - you can read it easily from head-on to a very severe angle - just like their LCD TVs.
Bottom line - excellent quality radio with great features at a good price -highly recommend!"
