What's great about it: Great sound
What's not so great: volume control not great
"I've had this set for six months and the volume control is starting to go out. you have to have it in just the right spot for both sides to work. I think they need to change the switch to one a little more reliable. If you are going to be using these on a daily basis I would look for a better set, if not these will work fine."

What's great about it: the bass is outstanding
What's not so great: mic broken from the start
"got home from bestbuy, took it out of the box, logged into vent and was listning to my guild talk and then i started to talk and about 20 mins later i realized noone was replying... mic will not work and does not light up when i slide the mute control on, is it broken or is there somewhere to put batteries in that i cant find? please help before i return these for no reason."

What's great about it: Great sound quality. Great bass. mic works great.
What's not so great: Kinda bulky
"I've had the headset for about a month now and this is a great gaming headset. I noticed before I bought that someone else had said they didn't have very good bass but I have been nothing but happy with the bass. I crank up the tunes and blow some people away in Modern Warfare 2. Mic is very good and I have not had any complaints from others. They are a bit bulky but I don't mind. I would highly recommend for the money."

"i went to pick this headset up today and im loving to so far. i have no problems with it and its very easy to set up.....i have use 5 different headsets and this is the best one so far that i like. i play alot games and i also use vent and it works great......so if you are like me, go get it"

What's great about it: Decent Sound for the price
What's not so great: mic boom feels a little flimsy
"I bought these based on the reviews here and other places. Overall I've had them for more than a month and am still quite pleased.
I usually listen to audio on pretty good headphones for my Ipod and laptop, but I needed something for work that I could plug into the computer for desktop video-conferencing (HD conferencing via Tandberg MOVI) that had a mic.
Overall impression, for the price ($50) decent quality, they do not seem particularly rugged, but for the office they work well. If you don't abuse things they should hold up for a while.
The Good Stuff:
Audio: decent. Tends to be a little bass heavy and not particularly flat but it is a good headphone for music, and fantastic for voice.
Microphone: Audio Quality: pretty darn good. The folks at the far end never have any issues with intelligibility or background noise. Favorite feature is that the mic folds up into the headset to prevent damage when not in use.
In-line Controls: Having mic switch and volume on the cord is nice. as a plus the volume knob is recessed so that you aren't as liable to suddenly lose volume (or blast your ears by running the volume to 11!!!)
Non-sealed headphones, these are not sealed headphones, and so you can actually hear ambient noises (like folks coming into the office) as long as they are above the volume you are listening to.
The bad stuff:
Although the mic boom folding is one of my favorite features, I wish that the boom felt more durable, and did not need to be bent slightly to fit into its slot. This is also the one area where the fit and finish of these microphones is a little rough...
The shape of the mini plugs could be better, I frequently need to plug and un-plug these into different computers and devices on my desk, and the shape of the plugs is a little annoying, and the plugs themselves seem to get "jammed" in the front jacks of my HP (but I am not 100% sure that is the headphones vs the pc)
The headphones padding material, while the padding feels nice and soft, and feels like it will hold up, the fabric covering them gets warm after a few hours of use. Also for those of us who are used to leather covered cups, it is taking some getting used to.
It would have been nice if the clip for the cable could have been worked into the in-line volume controls so you didn't have multiple things on the cable.

"I am very pleased with this headset. I've had a number of different ones over the years, and this one seems to have the best sound quality of any of the ones I've had. The only concern that I have with it is that the wires are pretty thin, so I could see how they might easily get damaged (but this hasn't happened to me)."

"This is a great choice. Even though it looks very large it is worth it. It sits on your head very comfortably. I play The Lord of The Rings Online so I can be on for hours at a time and I am never disappointed with this product. If you are thinking about getting a headset go and buy this one."

What's great about it: The headphones are very sturdy, made well, great sound quality.
What's not so great: I just bought them so I cant say for sure, maybe after extensive use they may feel alittle tight on your head.
"I've owned nothing but plantronics headphones in the past, and I was suprised to see how far they come have in the development of their products. Compared to logitech, these looked the best made, from what I had to choose from at best buy. Logitech ones were cheaper but looked cheap and may be easily to break. I game quite a bit and need something sturdy, so i spent the extra $20 and got these. My impression so far is that they are very comfortable and sturdy, great sound quality, the cord may be a bit short for some people but to much cord is aggervating so this works out ok for me, they do put a some pressure on your head, this may get old after a while but for now. I would recommend these to anyone. Get the 377 model over the 777 model, save the money. Overall good product."

What's great about it: Great quality, comfortable
What's not so great: It's a little stiff to begin with like other people have said, but wear it for a few hours and it's not a big deal.
"To address the other cons that people commonly list:
1) That it's too stiff - just wear it for a couple hours and it adjusts
2) The microphone - It folds down and actually pulls out a little bit. It's in a perfect position for me. I don't see why other people are upset with it.
3) The sound quality - If you don't have a sound card, get the GameCom 777s with the USB built-in Sound Card. Those are designed for people who don't have sound cards. The 377s are for people who already have a sound card, or at least a nice integrated one."

"This is my second Plantronics headset. I love that the microphone folds up into the headband. I'm listening to them right now. Simply awesome. great bass, mids and highs. I use these as a pro gamer and they are perfect. you can wear them for hours and you forget you have them on. They are also fantastic for jamming to music. I had a $70 pair of Plantronics and these blow them away. You will not be disappointed with these. I have told numerous people about these and they bought them and are very satisfied. I finally bought a pair and i couldn't be happier. MaximumPC did a review of the best headsets and this one won by a high margin. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!"

What's great about it: not much...maybe price?
What's not so great: the bass, there is no bass, feels a bit tight but its only been one day
"the headphones had a decent review, on bestbuy.com or on newegg.com, so i decided to go and buy these from bestbuy, and i was soo excited. They seem like they would be a great pair of headphones, but i guess since they're the "open" ear headphones, you're supposed to hear whats going around you. But when i turn the volume all the way up, it doesn't sound like music is even on the half way point, and yes i've tried different ports, and check the volume levels for my computer and on the headset. There is absolutely no bass, and it almost sounds distorted already, my left headphone is almost rattling, i'm returning these tomorrow"

Decent but not built well.

What's great about it: Good sound, very comfortable!
What's not so great: Literally falls apart.
"I bought this headset about 6-8 months ago. I think at the time I payed $70 for it but I have seen that it has come down in price. The sound quality is good and I must say that it is very comfortable to wear eventhough it is a huge headset. Here is what has gone wrong over the life of the headphones. They finally died a few days ago.
- The end of the cord that has the plugs got all winded up tight. It kinda liked wrapped around itself.
- Becouse of the above the cord finally broke which but an end to the headset.
- For no reason at all the left ear piece cracked. I was able to tape it back on and it held on for about a month before the headset died.
- The foam around one of the earpieces popped out of the groove it sat in when I first got it. It had to constanlty be put back which is really annoying. I tried wearing the headphones without that foam piece on the speaker but it was way to uncomfortable.
As far as recommending this product to a friend I would have to say no. While the sound quality and comfort is their it is just not durable."

What's great about it: Good Price, super comfy, Great Stereo Sound, very cool looking.
What's not so great: Unflexible microphone. Too short of a cord.
"On the packaging it is advertised as COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS, however, on Plantronics website, it is listed as incompatible with all forms of windows.
Due to the underhanded false advertising of this product i will be returning the product and not be buying from Plantronics again."
