What's great about it: Fast loading, awsome clarity with HDMI plug!
What's not so great: N/A

"Even if you are not a gammer, this is the best Blu-ray player out there! It can be updated whenever new software comes out whether PS or Blu-ray. What happens when your current DVD player is outdated? No set backs if you have Wi-Fi connected to PS3 for an update. The gamming is of course 1st rate as well! All around best packaged deal for Blu-ray and gamming!"

"Sucks! First of all, its not backward compatible. Second, No memory stick. Third, cannot upgrade hard drive. And Forth, only 2 USB connectors instead of 4 USB connectors. These are the deleted specs of the new version of PS3 80gb today. If i were you, i will go hunt for the PS3 60gb version or the PS3 80gb Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Edition. These two rare system here has all the specs that Sony has deleted in the new version of PS3 today. Don't be suprise that Sony might even delete the Blue-ray as that price go down."

"This game console is phenominal, if you have the correct add-ons. In order to get HD quality, you have to buy a 50-100 dollar HDMI cable, which only adds to the rediculous price that you've just paid for the system. As of now, there aren't too many great games that are worth mentioning. That is, there are no great games that you couldn't buy on any other system. Once you have the HDMI cable, and once Sony releases some worthwhile games, this system will be the top-selling system, topping it's competitors. I would recommend this product for it's potential, not for it's current value."

What's great about it: Great media package, top of the line hardware
What's not so great: rather big, heavy

"Not only is Sony's goliath Playstation 3 blazing fast, but it keeps cool and runs fast even after hours of play. With rechargeable wireless controllers, built-in wi-fi, a blu-ray player, and a great selection of games, this is the best console on the market. At first, the line-up of games wasn't so hot, which kept me from purchasing one for a while. Sony's free internet service is fantastic compared to Microsofts Xbox Live subscription. There is definitely enough blu-ray movies, PS3 games and low-priced HDTVs now that this system is definitely worth the 400 dollars. If you like high definitely movies, high-end gaming, and all around multimedia either from Sony's store or via your own music, and movie collection, then there's no way you can go wrong with the Playstation 3. I am in love with it."

"So far, my PS3 has been outstanding. It has great graphics and is very user friendly. It is also more reliable that my Xbox 360, which has been tempermental since the first few weeks I bought it. I think the best thing about the PS3 is the Blu-Ray player. the picture and sound quality are amazing compared to a DVD. I do not use my PS3 for games very much, that is until Gran Turismo 5 comes out, but the surround sound is very realistic. Overall, this system is amazing and is better than the Xbox 360."

What's great about it: It can play the latest games with hi-tech graphics and it's a flawless blu-ray player.
What's not so great: You have to use a controller as a remote but you can buy a remote control seperately. Other than that, flawless.

"I'm a PC gamer so I was looking at purchasing a stand-alone blu-ray DVD player but found the PS3 to be a wiser purchase. According to the reviews I read, the PS3 had less blu-ray DVD playback flaws and better quality than a lot of brand-name blu-ray players.
In addition, it allows you to purchase games made for males and females of all ages. Also, you can access files, videos, and other documents on your computer through a wireless network. There is also an internet browser available on the PS3.
The only improvement remaining for the PS3 is Netflix on-line!"

What's great about it: It is ideal for those that enjoy hard core solitary gaming
What's not so great: Not many good multi-player games.

"This system has a variety of exciting and fun one player games, however for the amount spent on it one does wish that they could actually enjoy their games with others. The only games that seem to be available in multi-player are shooters, but even among them you typically have to game with your buddies online. This is a good ploy to get people to buy more systems, but it definitely gets a thumbs down for me. The game that redeems this system is probably Little Big Planet."

What's not so great: It gets sort of hot.

What's not so great: size is a bit large which cuts back on portability

"I love my PS3 because it has offers everything i need. A gaming console a way to interact with my friends at different colleges.I also love the blu-ray player because i can sit in my dorm with a friend or my gf and watch movies all night. Or if im at home for the weekend or on break i can sit around with my family and watch movies. Overall the system is a great deal and with the price being knocked down with the 80g hd and new dual shock controller it is well worth it."

"the ps3 is an overall great purchase. even though it currently costs more than the 360, its definatly worth buying. the graphics are amazing, good game selection, free online, and not glitchy. there are also great features ont the ps3 setup screen that the xbox does not have."

What's great about it: it's great if you're not planning to play online
What's not so great: online connection

"playstation network is the worst thing ever! you can't play without having delayed connection or interruption. I've broken 3 controllers because I got really mad, I used to have a xbox360 that I sold to my brother to get the ps3 and I never had this problem, I tough it was my internet vendor or my ps3 but in the end I found out that it was the ps3 network. now I'm planning to sell it to get a xbox360 again. also the warranty for playstation is only 6 months. to be honest I expected way more from sony but I'm really dissapointed. I would never reccomend it but all the opposite."

are the best because the HDIM conetcan and 1080p and the Performance is good because it dose not slow down and WLAM for internet and the play station store and get to get on the ps3 on the PSP though the internet"

"The Ps3 is the best system. I had a xbox 360 and a Ps3 but the xbox is better the online but thats just because you have to pay for it. the ps3 online is still good and its free so in a way its better. the games are good the graphics are perfect.Also it even looks better"

"The PS3 is full of wonderful features. Forget about the times when all you could do with gaming system was, well, play video games. Blu-ray player, internet browsing, free online playing, community sharing, unbelievable graphics, music, movies, built-in wifi, great games, etc. I bought mine along with a nice 40-inch Samsung full HD lcd tv and let me tell you, the PS3 takes movie watching and video game playing to a level I haven't experienced before. I just wish the system was a bit less clunky, but that's a minor set back as far as I'm concerned."
