What's great about it: Immense functionality with limitless potential.
What's not so great: As hot as it gets I know it's only a matter of time before it dies.
"When I bought the PS3, my only concern was to play games in HD. Then I learned the benefits of watching movies in Blu Ray. Then PS3 updated to allow upconverting of all DVDs played on the system. It is like my PS3 is evolving. Right now, I watch my home movies on my PSP anywhere in the world that I've accessed via my PS3 which is connected to my home network. The PS3 is so much more than a video game console. Pretty soon it will make me coffee and rub my feet. What an amazing piece of equipment, and to anyone who complains about the price: they have always sold it at a loss, so anything you pay for it is a good deal. Especially considering all of the things the PS3 does!"

What's great about it: Amazing graphics, functionality was terrific, getting on and using the PS3 was easy and continues to make my day
What's not so great: Pricey
"Terrific game console. As an owner of a Wii and a X-Box 360 I would certainly take the PS3 over any of them. The games are terrific, better than the competition, the graphics blow the other out of the water, the blue ray capabilities make movies so much better. My only concern is the price, but with what the PS3 gives you, it is totally worth it."

What's great about it: OUTSTANDING GRAPHICS, FUNCTIONALITY, BLU-RAY DVD, AND STUNNING WI-FI CONNECTIVITY!
What's not so great: Finding a Ps3 that is backwards compatible
"WOW! This is such an amazing computer entertainment system, however, PS3 is far more than just a gaming system. One amazing feature is Blu-Ray compatibility! It seems like having a movie theater right at Home! Pictures/Movies being played on the System, are absolutely breathtaking! That's not all; PS3 has terrific multiplayer gameplay in which, you can experience the games you love playing along with others gamers sharing the same feelings all across the globe! It is Likely not possible to explain all the great software this system has to offer because the excitement is endless! "The older children love this system. We have spent many hours enjoying it as a family. The biggest disappointment is the lack of younger games. I have found very few the younger children can play. Other than that I really think that the system is amazing"

What's great about it: Most versatile piece of equipment in home entertainment
What's not so great: Produces quite a bit of heat.
"The PS3 is My favorite piece of equipment, period. It is extremely versatile, great value for the price and easy to use. Watching movies on blu-ray and gaming are brought to a new level with this system and my wife loves the slideshow features for her photos! the Online stroe feature is also very easy to use and great for downloading movie trailers and demos of games. They also add new content very frequently and it doesn't cost anything to access the store. The PS3 is very easy to setup and maintain and works seamlessly with your home network. I would reccomend this product to anyone!"

"The PS3 is by far the best next gen console. It has outstanding graphics, smooth game play and then add the fact you can watch your blu-ray dvds. Winner. I would recommend it to any who like video games and have the TV to really appreciate the grandure.
I would also recommend that you go with the up graded system. I have the base model and love it but the memery has gotten a little full. Slightly more space and wireless internet are a must."

"First, the Playstation 3 is a great purchase if not for the fantastic gaming capabilities but also for the blu-ray player. It is well known that it is one of the cheaper blu-ray players on the market and now that the blu-ray format has definitively won the battle with HD, it will eventually become a MUST for all movie savvy consumers. Sony has a great reputation for having 3rd party developers create consistently good games and have already seen such with the new console. Oct and Nov '08 look to be very promising with the release of Little Big Planet and various FPS's."

What's great about it: What a great system. The first thing I got for it was Iron Man on Blue-ray and I was blown away!
What's not so great: Now I have to get a 1080p monitor to go with it!
"I initially got it for the Blue-ray feature, and it is stunning. Unfortunately I have an old-school, flat screen tube TV that only does 480p and 1080i. Whatever the case, Iron Man in 1080i was gorgeous. Making me all the more excited about getting a 1080p down the road. Right after I finished Iron Man I threw in GTA 4. What a great series. What a great platform to play it on. If you are undecided, (and you have the budget... don't forget it is also a Blue-ray player!) I would tell you not to hesitate. The machine is amazing!"

What's great about it: Best Blu-Ray Player on the Market
What's not so great: Bluetooth Remote - Need Add On for Universal Remotes
"I've always been a big XBox fan and I still think the XBox 360 is the better product strictly for the XBox Live! experience. It really can't be beat and with the ability to have NetFlix coming in November...amazing. Alas, there doesn't look to be any Blu-Ray support in the future for the XBox 360 and with HD-DVD now dead, I couldn't justify paying some of the prices on standalone Blu-Ray players when I could get another entertainment console. So far I've very impressed with the PS3 and the Blu-Ray playback is unbeatable in my opinion. Plus with the WiFi it allows for BD-Live content to be enabled on the newer Blu-Ray discs coming out. The one drawback is the Bluetooth connectivity. I have a Harmony 880 Universal Remote and yeah, I got it to work with a 3rd party BT to IR device, I still have to get up and power it off or use the PS3 remote. Little frustrating but it’s not something I would ever consider returning the PS3 for. If you're looking for a Blu-Ray player go with the PS3 and for the price, you'll get so much more."

What's great about it: I think that this is of the hook.
What's not so great: then again it does play pluy ray and it doesnt have achievment points like the XBOX360 does.
"I think that this is a good system because it has all of the basics a blue ray player a reguler dvd player ps3 games can be played on it and its cheep. When i went to go out and buy a blueray disc player it costed about $400.00 dollars and when i bought a ps3 just this past weekend i thought it was a better deal because you can play gamees and watch blueray dvd's. now you cant tell me that isnt cool."
