What's great about it: Blu-Ray player, can play different DVDs from different regions, and graphics are awesome

"Great console which can do pretty much everything since it's a hardcore entertainment center. Better games are coming out that will fully utilize the PS3's graphics capabilities and Blu-ray is slowly becoming popular which will enhances everyone's viewing pleasure."

What's great about it: Amazing Graphics, Blu-Ray Player

"After owning a PlayStation and PS2, I've always been loyal to the system. I've played the 360, and the PS3 is far better in my opinion. The graphics are amazing, the speed and quality of the games are great, and you have the added Blu-Ray player all in one package. You simply can't beat the value and performance of the system, especially paired with the 50" plasma I bought this system with...unreal!"

What's great about it: Value ,price
What's not so great: no included headset

"I have been and still own and love my xbox 360 but i have spent around $1000 just on buying 2 xboxs(my first 1 died of a E71 and out of warranty), wireless adapters , overpriced Hard drives, and xbox live. the xbox 360 i think has a better library of games overall but you'll be missing a lot of great games if you think the xbox 360 is the only system you need. I just bought a ps3 80gb and i am glad that i did because it runs a lot quieter then my 360 and i don't need to worry as much about my system scratching discs or if (more like When) your system will die on you and need to see if your warranty actually covers your problem . My only problem would be that they don't give you a free headset(rather have a cheap wired 1 then none at all) which the xbox does which i like cause i would like to talk to my friends but don't want to buy a 30 dollar blue-tooth headset."

What's great about it: Great video quality, Great Sound Quality, fun games, playstation network, size
What's not so great: Uses alot of power, can heat up your room, price of NEW games

"If you are thinking about buying a Playstation 3, please don't hesitate to buy it. The Playstation 3 is much better than any type of Xbox 360 or, any other type of game system. I own the 80 GB Playstation 3, and my friends and I play online on our PS3s together, and it is a blast."

What's great about it: blue ray player, internet browser
What's not so great: software still lacks some feature

"PS3 is not only a gaming console, but almost a full-featured multimedia console that can supplement music, movie and internet experience. With a 80 GB hard-drive and a built-in blue-ray player, the system is highly recommended for ultimate multi-media experience. Considering high price of stand-alone blue player, 80 GB PS3 is still a bargain, especially when bought in sale (I bought it with 20% off deal). Software still lacks some features, I had problem playing some avi files. Internet browsing and navigation are somewhat painful, especially with the joystick. I am sure Sony will keep working on adding features to its software, and more fun is on the way as game publishing houses plan to bring out new games as cheaper PS3 begin to roll in, according to rumors in the tech-world."

"When comparing PS3 to Xbox 360 elite, the price is quite similar and furthermore no blu-ray with the 360.

Now I can't say this console is the most fun to play on (Wii) or has the greatest game selection (360), nor is it the least expensive (Wii or low end 360), but it does do everything very well.

When buying PS3 think for the future, sometimes the graphics on dual ported (ps3/360) games aren't better, however in the future with the amazing processing power and storage of Blu-Ray the PS3 is truly next gen, compared to the competitors."

What's great about it: Very silent when turned on, Built in Blu Ray & Blu Ray graphics
What's not so great: PS3 is currently in 3rd, lack of exclusive titles, price is a little high

"I owned the PS3 going on a year now and its an amazing system, the graphics the PS3 can generate are gorgeous, of course TRUE Blu Ray games are the best looking, unlike its port overs, i.e Metal Gear Solid 4, Infamous, Uncharted, Killzone 2 etc are TRUE Blu Ray. The ability to play Blu Ray movies is a plus too when it comes to the PS3. Some cons for the PS3 include its price, PS3 has been expensive since launch. but a price cut is due soon. Lack of exclusive titles, such as losing Final Fantasy XIII to the 360, but still coming to the PS3. Overall the PS3 is a very powerful system that can generate amazing graphics and better overall performance, a must own for any gamer."

What's great about it: It makes you feel like your in the game that your playing and it accents your HD/1080p tv.
What's not so great: The price I think by now it should only be 300.00-350.00 not 400.00+.

"This game console runs faster then most computers of this year the speed on this console is ridiculous the graphics are off the charts i don't own one but I'm in the process of buying one right now but I have played my friends. And unlike the other consoles out there it looks like its in HD on any type of tv you don't need a plasma or lcd or 1080p for the ps3 to look good just a regular tv. The battery of the wireless remote for the PS3 last extremely long also and the console itself lasts long it doesn't get hot as fast as the other consoles and you don't need to buy a whole bunch of extra accessories for the PS3 to run at top speed it comes ready to play. So to me the PS3 is the best game console not only on the market but the best game console ever. =)"

What's great about it: Sleek design, durability of the console
What's not so great: The lack of games and 1080p support

"This system is byfar the best bang for your buck for many reasons. Built-in Wi-Fi ($100), Blu-Ray($250), Free online gaming ($40 a year) and no batteries to charge for your controller (various) so if you add all the saving compare to a 360 or wii the system prettu much pays for itself. Even the PS3 does'nt have any big titles yet it atleast has Madden, CoD, etc. Also yes it has a built-in Blu-Ray, its not the best quality your kind of better having a seperate player unless your not to worry of having high end quality. Lastly do not lay your system on its side make sure you have it standing which will help vent the system alot better and prevent any inernal damage like most systems do."

What's great about it: GRAPHICS, HDMI is easy to use, Playstation network, bluetooth, sound
What's not so great: screen and sound cuts out sometimes, wiggly line

"I bought the 60 gig PS3 right after they first came out about 2 years ago. It has mostly been amazing. The picture is fantastic, and it was easy to set up and use. I have had two problems, though. There has occasionally been a squigly line that appears toward the bottom of my screen, but it might be my tv. I'm not sure. Recently, though, my screen has been flickering on and off with gray and black when I play COD world at war. It has happened on both of my tvs, different brands. It seems to clear up a little if I wiggle the HDMI some. But besides that, it has been great."

"Without question, Playstation 3 has brought me the best gaming experience I have ever had. I think It's gameplay tops XBox although its graphics still may not, it is certainly close enough, especially with the HD hook up. Only downside I can think of is that it can be quite a pricey investment if you go after a lot of of games. I would spend your money wisely with the PS3. There are in infinite amount of add ons and everything you could want with the system. It can also serve as your one and only Home Theater System in the long run with its movie renting, buying, and blue ray capabilities as well. Having played just about every system, I recommend this one far beyond any other."

"the ps3 is probably the best console on the market because of its multimedia features. For under $400 you get a blu-ray player, a console of the next generation and a selection of great games that will only expand in time. Compared to its rival consoles the ps3 is the best bang for your buck considering everything you get in the package."
