What's great about it: Easy to set up
What's not so great: Price Point
Yes it is a good keyboard. Default launch buttons worked exactly as they should. I had read somewhere one reviewer mentioning this did not work well with Dell XPS Studio, but that's what I own and I have no issues. I thought it was a bit expensive, but given the easy set up and that the launch keys required no fine tuning (they basically launched what I needed) you have to consider this and ask if this is worth the cost. It is a well built device and my typing has been much better than using the standard keyboard that came with my desktop.

What's great about it: Sleek look on your desk.
What's not so great: Non-standard layout.
I use this keyboard on my desktop at work. My laptop is plugged into a docking station, and I am looking at a standard monitor, typing on this keyboard, and using a standard mouse. When I need to go mobile, I just undock the laptop. This is a setup I have used for years.
Before I bought this keyboard, I used a Dell keyboard that was a clone of a PS-2 keyboard layout, and it had full travel keys. While that keyboard was great, I always had to adjust to the laptop's short-travel keys when I went mobile. I thought that this keyboard would keep me in practice with low profile, short travel keys. I suppose it does. I haven't had a serious problem using this keyboard, so it gets an average rating.
It's shortcomings are two-fold: 1) It lacks all the editing keys of a PS-2 keyboard. You can see this in the picture on the box. 2) I still don't like the short travel keys. I suppose there is no escaping the years of using a PS-2 keyboard. My full-travel, Logitech gaming keyboard at home beats this keyboard in performance and features without even needing to do a rocket jump, and it CAN do a rocket jump as well.

What's great about it: soft touch keyboard
What's not so great: don't swim well
Spending long days on a computer I want a keyboard which has a soft touch and feels effortless to use. I also prefer using a keyboard which is connected to my machine or KVM using a cable and not dealing with intricacies of wireless devices. I have found two types of keyboards that I like, this one and an Apple keyboard (against a PC).
My wife found that after spilling a glass of water over one of these keyboards that one or two keys chose not to work any more, but apart from that these are great keyboards

What's great about it: sleek, fluidity, easy on the wrists.
and you're concerned about jumping or flying or whatever you do in your rpg games and what have you... why don't u look at the "gaming" keyboards instead of giving these ones a negative review? I think that a lot of people don't put down accurate ratings because they aren't acknowledging that they are using a device that's centered around comfort and design more for a typist or someone who intends to do a lot of web browsing or writing. I When first seeing the keyboard I immediately thought, okay, this is more of a keyboard aimed more at saving me from injury and keeping me comfortable when typing. I'd look at a gaming keyboard and know that it was because they're usually far more technical, colorful, often they'll even have some fancy screen and be able to do all sorts of gymnastics... but I just didn't see this as a gaming keyboard. in fact, I was searching for an area that might even separate the two into their own section . If only they had a system in here that helped you to decide according to what you will use it for... a little automated assistant .. :P well I know gamer people usually know more about computers than most typists and what have you but i just wanted to point that out to folks who might forget to take it into consideration. I also found that a few gamer keyboards have caused me to have to really put extra effort when i'm typing sometimes, i'm using one now and it's not bad as one i had before... but i do prefer more fluidity in my keys - i think i'd actually like a keyboard that was a combination or changeable to what you were doing. typing or gaming.. :)

What's great about it: Nice Looking in the dark. great lighting effects
What's not so great: not ergonomic for me.
I'm returning to BB.
The keyboard works great and it looks pretty in the dark.
my problem with it is this.
1) Wrist-rest interferes with my hand placement.
2) The keys on the bottom row are raised causing me to hit them during gaming
3) Logitech changed the location of some keys. Why?
4) for some reason playing games for extended periods of times hurts my finger tips. maybe the shallow depression of the keys.

What's not so great: Cannot run and jump in games: "W"+shift+space
This keyboard will not allow you to be running and jump in a game, W+shift+spacebar..... Known hardware issue, or marketing campaign to force us to buy keyboards that say "gaming". My old $10 logitech board let me use these 3 keys at once. There should be a notice on the packaging.

What's great about it: Quietness, Backlight, Volume controls, feel
What's not so great: No exclusive media control keys, but the FN+F# combos work fine.
Quiet, Backlit, with easy volume and media controls.
I dont need to say much else.
Compared this side by side with a Saitek Eclipse 3, this was brighter, quieter, and easier to type on. The Saitek only won in the hotkey department, but it lost everyhting else. If you dont game or dont use hotkeys much for gaming, it is hard to even think of a keyboard i have used thats better than this.

What's great about it: Works and installs flawlessly
What's not so great: Price
I bought this keyboard to replace an old Dell that was getting flaky, and installed it on my Windows XP system with no hitches. I didn't bother to install the software that came with it, because it works flawlessly after XP did its thing.
I love the lighted keys, and keep them set to the highest brightness. Which is set by pushing the upper right key.
There is an "A" that lights up along the lower right border of the keyboard when you press the "Caps Lock" button, and "1" that lights up when you press "Num Lock". I didn't notice any mention of this in the brief instructions provided.
There are a bunch of special function related features that are easy to use and are highlighted in yellow. Just press the "FN" key along with the other key and you are able to control a bunch of programs I use daily.

What's great about it: Backlit keyboard, built in wrist rest, soft keys
What's not so great: Price is a bit high, but comparable with all other outlets.
I do production typing for a living and just bought this keyboard today. This is the best keyboard for my vocation. The wrist rest and keys have made the pain and numbness that occur in my hands obsolete tonight. Have not had this happen in many months! The backlit keyboard makes it perfect for having dim lighting and being able to see all the keys easily. The soft touch keyboard is so easy on the hands, and with it being wired the response is immediate. I love this keyboard and am so glad I bought it!

What's great about it: Soft touch, no clickety clack sound
What's not so great: On the expensive side, but worth it!
Ever since I first used this keyboard, I just can't use anything else. The last time I went by Best Buy, they only had 2 in stock and I bought both of them for backup.
I'm a medical transcriptionist and type 8 hours a day, my pay is based on production, so a good keyboard is essential to my job. I love the soft touch and, being in an office with other employees, the fact that it is so quiet is a gigantic plus.
I have absolutely nothing negative to say, except I just wish the price were a little lower, as I am buying these myself. But they do go on sale occasionally, so I keep a watch out for that. Now I'm just paranoid that Logitech will quit making it!

What's great about it: Quiet and nice quality; attractive design.
What's not so great: Decreases my typing speed and accuracy.
I bought this keyboard for work. My old standard-issue Dell keyboard was wearing out after seven years, and I wanted to replace it with a quiet keyboard b/c I often need to take notes on the computer while I'm on the phone.
Pros: It is indeed very quiet. The design is sleek and attractive and the product is high quality (well made and feels good). I like the full number keypad.
The typing experience is very nice, although I will say I've had this thing for a couple of months and still struggle a bit getting used to it. My typing speed is slower now b/c I make more errors now. I finally had to remove the Caps Lock key b/c I was hitting it by accident all the time. And I still have to look down for the Delete key, which I could find by touch on the old Dell. I'm not sure I'll ever type at my old rate. ...
There is no USB port on the keyboard itself so if you have a wired mouse you will need to plug it into a USB port on your computer. (If your CPU is on the floor, make sure your mouse cord can reach it!) I find it odd that a wired keyboard doesn't directly support a wired mouse. Last but not least, I wish the "Getting Started" card that comes with the keyboard included a link for where to find the online tech support (which is on the Logitech web site but is limited and for some reason was hard to find the first time I looked for it).

What's great about it: Back-lit keys, super flat design, excellent quality!
What's not so great: None so far!
Logitech has aced it with this keyboard! The over-all quality is astounding and the comfort level is great. It's the flattest keyboard I've ever used and the heaviest. It's the first I've purchased with the "back-lit" keys and they're adjustable, they have 3 brightness levels. I use it a lot playing C.O.D. Modern Warfare II and it's always stable and stays put, no sliding around on my desk and best of all, playing MW2 in the dark, love that!
The keys are smooth and quiet and the keyboard is so flat it doesn't bother my wrists to use it for extended periods. It is a USB keyboard so if you only have a PS2 input you'll need an adapter. Needing this adapter is rare these days with all the USB ports available on desktops. I'm a Huge Logitech fan and this is another great product from them, enjoy!

What's great about it: Comfortable, short key-strokes, and easy to set-up macros.
What's not so great: No complaints, whatsoever.
I gave this keyboard all 5 stars across the board for multiple reasons. First off, the soft touch palm rest is extremely comfortable. Also, the backlighting is conventient, and can be adjusted based on the user's preferences. The short keystrokes are precise, and aren't very noisy. The shortcut buttons are very convenient, and the macros are very easy to setup once you install the included drivers.
I exchanged my defective Razer Lycosa for this model, and I'll never buy Razer again. If you're looking for a great keyboard, this is a must-buy.

I would have loved the keyboard, but I had to send it back because it had a usb conncection and would have had to go to the neighboring town to get the adapter and that was the reason for ordering it on line-not to go to Augusta, Ga. at Xmas time -it was a gift, so i will try to buy it again later when a tech can show me what adapter I need.
