What's great about it: Opened box and programmed it with in 30 min.
"I have bought a 60" Pioneer LCD flat screen, a new yamaha receiver, a samsung blue ray player and upgraded my cable to HD DVR. One thing led to another and I had to buy cable after cable to hook all this up with the all new HDMI that I had not even heard of until now. I was ready to pull my hair out but finally got it the way I wanted. Then the problem of all these remotes, I received this remote as a Christmas gift and expected a book of instructions when I opened it. Now to the point, This was the easiest thing I have had to do in a long time. Something that finally works as discribed, had the remote programmed in less than 30 min. Works everything, all features of orginal remotes. Remote works from a longer distance then orginal remotes, I do not have to lean forward now to change channel. I can not speak of any other remote on the market but I can say that this one is awsome!"

What's great about it: simple set up, can read every other remote What's not so great: none so far
"Took it out of box and within 30 minutes had 5 different pieces on this remote the way I wanted it....Universal HAS the best remotes!! I have tried remotes from $50 to $300 and none compares to this one...very nice looking remote, you can control light dimming time on buttons and LCD screen...try it and you'll agree!"

What's great about it: Easy for almost anyone to setup, no computer needed, backlight for night viewing What's not so great: takes 4AA batteries
"I purchased this remote about a week ago. I was able to set up my six components in under an hour. hdtv, dvd, blu-ray, directv, a/v receiver, cd player. The remote can learn codes from your original component's remote, and has thousands of codes already preprogrammed. I was considering the Logitech or the more expensive Universal brand remotes, but the price, ease of use, and functionality won me over. It gives you "full functionality", with your components, not just bits and pieces. I can literally use just this one remote! Overall great product."
