Nice little N router

What's great about it: Very reasonably priced at $60. Relatively easy setup. Small footprint. Easy phone support.
What's not so great: I would have preferred GB LAN ports. The auto setup on the DVD wouldn't work.
"I purchased this for my parents, who just got their first laptop. I was looking for small, easy to use, and flexible.
Setup was easy (even with the DVD auto-setup failing), and the router recognized the cable modem immediately. But the laptops couldn't affiliate using WPA2. A quick call to Belkin Tech Support suggested using WEP instead (some issues w/ Win XP and WPA?), and from there everything went smoothly.
My parents' new laptop, their new wireless printer/copier/scanner/fax (another Best Buy purchase), and my visiting laptop all affiliated easily. Both speed and coverage seemed good. My parents now have an easy and transparent network, and when grandchildren or I or anyone else w/ wireless visits they can easily connect.
One more word about Belkin support:
I purchased a Belkin N card a couple of years ago (that I no longer use), and with the support call for this N router I was reminded how nice it is to actually talk to a live human who can help solve the problem at hand.
I feel better knowing that if 1st echelon tech support (me, siblings, grandkids) can't solve a problem my parents may run into, Belkin tech support is only a phone call away."

What's great about it: Very easy to set up

"This router is wonderful!!! I had it up and going in less than 15 minutes. The Setup Assistant on the CD-ROM was extremely helpful and easy. The range for a wireless connection is given as "up to 1200 feet," which is very good. Thus far I haven't had a single problem connecting from anywhere in my house or my yard. I highly recommend this router!"

What's great about it: Installation was very easy and did not take much time at all. Directions are clear and concise.
What's not so great: It works perfectly fine for me so I don't have any complaints.
"We just recently bought a laptop and this was my first experience with installing a router. I thought that it would be a long and complicated process, but it was very easy and only took me about 20 minutes. It works great and I'm able to use my laptop anywhere in the house."

What's great about it: Super easy instructions- and I am not a computer whiz!
What's not so great: So far nothing
"I just purchased this product today. Had a Linksys G 2.4 Ghz router and needed to upgrade. I am not a computer whiz by any means (I just found out what a "thumb drive" was last month). The instructions were super easy. I love the security features and the lights that notify you what is working and what is not. Maybe my old router had the same features without me knowing.
I am currently running 1 PC, 2 PC laptops and a Mac. No problems and the speed and length of the signal is strong. Would recommended this product!"

What's great about it: Great signal all over my house , and affordable price
What's not so great: Setup was a little difficult
"This router was a bit difficult for me to setup. After getting asistance from customer service over the phone, my router work perfectly.. I have had this router for 3 weeks now, and I get a strong signal in everyroom in my house.. i have never lost a signal as well. It gives me a fast internet connection as well... The price is affordable compared to other higher priced ones."

"After having another wireless router for over a year,it finally died (Not a belkin). I read the reviews on this Belkin router and felt good about ordering it. It came today and it was literally set up within 15 minutes. I have my PC,Laptop,smartphone,TIVO all linked to it without a problem. It is nicley built and does not seem flimsey or cheap. Great product I would recommend it to those looking in this price range."

"I had a Linksys wrt300 that all of a sudden did not broadcast a signal anymore, went to my local Best Buy and found this router on sale for 59.99.....brought it home and in 15 minutes was up and running and the signal strength compared to the wrt300 is so much better. I am getting at least 4 bars throughout the house. I highly recommend this product. I look forward to expanding my network soon."

"Here are my main gripes:
1) It ships without an administrator password. When you go to set the administrator password through the web interface (which you should!) it's impossible to do so. It tells you to leave the password blank when logging in for the first time. On the page to change the administrator password, there are fields to enter the old password, enter the new password, and enter the new password again. Leaving the old password blank on this page causes an error message indicating that the old password is incorrect. I tried "admin", etc. to no avail. The worthless documentation helpfully provided "this is the screen where you change the administrator password". Gee, thanks.
2) If you want all the computers on your network to use DHCP, fine, skip this paragraph. But I wanted one computer (the webserver) to have a static IP and the others to use DHCP. Unlike the Netgear router from 5 years ago that I bought this to replace, this router does not have the capability to say "assign this IP to this MAC address, assign that IP to that MAC address, and use DHCP to assign IPs to other MAC addresses". That's weird, since it does allow you to say "incoming traffic on this port should go to that IP, and block this IP from using the web during these hours". Sure, I understand that you can set up the individual machine(s) to use a static IP rather than DHCP, but with my old router it was nice to not have to mess with that."

"I have a small DSL provider and setting up routers has been a day-long process until now. I replaced a terrible Linksys N router with this fine piece of engineering. The CD setup made it so simple, done with setup and adding 3 computers in 15 minutes. My connection is so fast and the signal is very strong. This is a winner!"

What's great about it: The set up is easy and the router is great so far!
What's not so great: I'm not quite sure yet. May be the price???
"This freaking router is amazing! All I had to do is put the disk in and it showed me how to set up the ssid, the password, and what type of encryption used for the security. This thing is awesome! The 300mbps helps too as opposed to the 54 that linksys offers for the $74.99. Speaking of Linksys I bought one and it didn't work. That was of course because I bought the wrong router that didn't work with Vista which I have on the laptop. I was stupid and just bought the wrong one. That should add to how easy I thought the instalation was. I'm, by no means, a tech savvy person and this router was a sinch. BUY BELKIN! You will not be dissappointed!"
