What's great about it: Quick and easy 1, 2, 3 installation.
What's not so great: It wasn't my first router
"I am not one to EVER write a review, but seeing as how I read most of the reviews on this model before my purchase...my 2 cents might help someone else out. This router was purchased to replace my D-Link which died on me...and what an improvement it was! Super easy and quick installation (not sure what happened with others who purchased this unit). The network was setup and I was able to connect 2 laptops (one of which has Windows 7) in under 5 minutes. I've only been up and running for about a week, but so far there have been no issues at all. Before writing this review I connected my Blu-Ray player to the network so I can stream Netflix, I think the signal strength is much better. Also the WPS feature on it is GREAT!!! Saves you a lot of time from typing in uber long network passwords on your xbox 360 controller or Blu-Ray remote.
The only thing negative I have to say is that I wish this was my first router. Hope this helps someone as it is my first ever review."

What's great about it: Made the internet faster.
What's not so great: Took 5-10min to figure how to connect to the network. Could of been my fault though.
"Bought this cause my G wireless router from about 4-5 years died. Was able to hook it up and get it install in a couple minutes cause I knew what I was doing. The one minor problem was trying to hook up another computer to the network. It showed it found the network but wasn't letting me connect. After about 10minutes of trying different things and going back to the router I figured it out. I was able to connect a laptop in like 20 seconds. If someone with not much computer knowledge tried, I could see them not figuring it out. Even though I use a G adapter, I could notice the internet was a bit faster. I haven't used my PS3 yet, but was able to connect it to the network easily."

What's great about it: Easy to set up on a Mac, Works right away, Super fast internet
What's not so great: You will have to spend $90 or so
"I just bought this router today to replace my 5+ year old 802.11b router, a Netgear MR814v2. I never had problems with my old Netgear router, but I just bought a new Mac Book in February 2010 and noticed that my wireless internet connection was intermittently slow with my old router. I read a bunch of Mac Forum posts on this common issue and ultimately decided to try to upgrade my router. I chose this Netgear WNR2000 "N 300" router, and I certainly made the right choice! I highly recommend this router... easy to set up (less than 5 minutes), easy online router interface, and super fast connections recognized immediately. I love Netgear!"

What's great about it: Has given me good internet performance, on/off button
What's not so great: Was hard to set up until I found the website
"I've had this router one month and it works well. It gives me fast wireless internet. The range covers my household and then some. They claim it broadcasts 100 yards in every direction.
However, it was hard for me to figure out how to set up and configure the router. The included install CD didn't work for me but I found the installation instructions on their website. Go to http://kb.netgear.com and search for "Configuring your NETGEAR router for DSL Internet connection" or "Configure your NETGEAR router for Cable Internet Connection" depending on which service you have."

What's great about it: Set up was quick and easy, though I had to google setting it up, the online directions were clear and easy to follow.
What's not so great: The auto install software didn't work so well. No other documentation in the box to allow a manual configuration.
"The product worked really well with minimal fuss.
Set up was only so so. No other documentation in the box to allow a manual configuration. But was easy to find a how to on the net gear website. this info should have been included in the box. rotuer ip address, default passwords etc..."

What's great about it: Easy to set up, not once needed a reset
What's not so great: None so far
"I guess the best wireless router is the one that you don't even realize you have. If that is true, then it applies to this one in spades. It is as Ron Popeil says, set it and... forget it. It took me barely 10 minutes to install. So far it hasn't dropped any connections, and I am getting all the Internet bandwidth that my DSL modem supplies. Haven't tried intra-net performance yet.
Overall, a refreshing contrast with the buggy "Linksys by CISCO" Wireless-G router that I bought the previous week and had to return in a hurry."

What's great about it: Ease of installation, Range, Stability
What's not so great: No complaints
"It was time to replace a old Netgear "G" wireless router with an "N". I saw a special at Best Buy for a D-Link DIR-615 and bought it. I have installed MANY routers through the years, and assumed installing the D-Link would be like falling off a log. Wrong. Following the D-Link instructions to a "T" (several times) I never could get it to work (defective maybe?), and frankly, I did not have the time/patience to call D-Link to troubleshoot, so I simply retuned it and went back to Netgear. This router installed beautifully and solved our range problem - the workstation farthest away can now connect and stay connected with great throughput - huge improvement. I highly recommend this Router. I should never have strayed from Netgear..."

What's great about it: NO drops, excellent speed, works great with iPod Touch
What's not so great: the flashing lights
"This is my 3rd router I had, the first were linksys and belkin. They were horrible because of the frequent drops they gave me on my iPod Touch. I have had this router for about a month an no problems unlike the other routers. I have not used this router on a laptop yet but i bet it would connect to the laptop. Also the speed is amazingly steady fast."

What's not so great: nothing so far
"Not sure why anyone would have a problem setting this up. You have to wait a few minutes for software to load; after that it takes only a few minutes and you're up and running. I had 2 linksys wrt160 routers which both were junk, should have bought this one first."

What's great about it: Working 3 laptops, Bluray Player, and XBOX 360 off it without any problems and very strong signal
What's not so great: Have no problems
"Working 3 laptops, Bluray Player, and XBOX 360 off it without any problems and very strong signal. Haven't had any major gliches or problems since hooking up network. Did have to reset the equipment once for a total power outage but wasn't a problem. This router powers movies through the XBOX LIVE, and Netflix through the Insignia Bluray Player with a great picture. Bottom line this router works for me."

What's great about it: good price
What's not so great: drops all the time
"We have a PS3, xBox360, and a couple of laptops that use the wireless network. We had a Belkin G wireless router that would drop the gaming systems off about once a week. We bought this NetGear N router in hopes of better performance. Not only does it not perform better it drops the wireless users at least once a day. The Belkin G was much more reliable."

What's great about it: Nice upright design, easy to set up
What's not so great: Nothing so far
"Bought this replace older Netgear 802.11 g router that was several years old. Purchased a new computer with 802.11 n capabilities so I thought it would be a good time to upgrade. Installation and testing was easy. So far the performance is much better. Advertised at capable of speeds up to 300 Mbps. Typical performance so far is 78 - 144 Mbps which is faster that the 54 Mbps or less that I got from the old router. Upright design takes up less space and perhaps better cooling."

What's great about it: The Coverage on this Router is Awsome
What's not so great: Install was a little bit of a pain in the A--, but after an hour BINGO!!!! All is good
"Purchased this router as an upgrade for a D-link DI-524. The coverage on the D-link was ok but i live in a 3 story house and like to take my laptop to the basement but the coverage was not good. Installed the Netgear(took me about an hour) I was able to connect in places that i was not able to connect before(including the basemsent). I was also able to connect my Wii,PSP and My son's DS thru the Wifi with no problems."

What's not so great: Difficult to set up.
