good projector   11/29/2008

What's great about it: big and bright

"good projector for its price - its got ONLY one VGA connector (unlike what the other guys says ) the other connector is a VGA output witch its rather convenient. the specs on the website says 1024 x 768 max res. wile in reality its maximum is 1280x1024 in other words way compatible with 720p (1280x720) this is trough a VGA of course. and yes it takes bit for bulb to warm up and cool down - but not a huge issue for me."

Excellent Product   10/20/2008

What's great about it: Easy to use. This projector has 2 computer inputs, S-Video, and Composite In
What's not so great: 2 Separate Power Switches, Light Bulb requires several minutes to turn on and turn off

"I have used several projectors for power point presentations for our electrical engineering society. The Toshiba that we purchased has to be one of the best that I have come across for ease of use and for connectivity.

The only drawback to the unit is really the light bulb used on most DLP and LCOS projectors. The bulb requires the projector to have 2 separate power switches (1 to stop projecting and 1 to power the bulb on and off). The bulb must be warmed up for a few minutes and then 'cooled off' for a few more, once you are done. Also the bulb, if used alot, will need to be replaced after 160 hours.
