What's great about it: Easy to set up, Good Picture
What's not so great: Sound
"I exchanged a 26 inch Insignia for this bigger TV early January. I looked around at different TVs and it came down to either the 32 Samsung or this Toshiba. At the time my local Best Buy only had the Samsung that was $469 in store. I decided to save the extra $70 bucks and get the Toshiba. I've been using this TV for about a month now and so far I'm satisfied. Xbox live has a bit of a slow response time on this TV but overall it's a great TV for its price in the 32 inch class"

What's great about it: Nothing is "great" it is an average TV
What's not so great: The sound quality, quality control, lack of tech support from Toshiba
"We owned a Toshiba Projection TV and it went out after 6 years. Average cost per month for the life of the TV is $35.00. When we first purchased that TV it was repaired twice under warranty. I find the overall cost to be unacceptable. Anyway, we decide to purchase a flat screen design. Looking at all the TVs at Best Buy I personally was leaning towards a Sony. My wife on the other hand wanted to stick with the Toshiba brand (she was told by the last salesman they were the only TV still built in the US, which may have been true 6 years ago, but not today). Anyway, we bought the Toshiba and after getting it home and reading the other reviews, we are regretting this purchase. The right speaker is blown, it has allot of distortion. Since we bought an extended warranty we are considering returning this TV or possible calling the repairman. I will not consider another. As far as the technical support, I registered it on-line and this particular model number is not listed 32AV502RZ."

"Do Not buy this tv. it is a good price but i bought this the day after xmas and i have had nothing but problems.... The video lagged the sound was poor.. Toshiba sent a guy to fix it and he ordered a part and i had to wait 2 weeks then he came back put it in and it still didn't work then they ordered two new parts for it and im still waiting on them. Toshiba will not replace it they are slow and basically do not care about the customer.. the guy i spoke to was very mean to me and told me there could be possible nothing wrong with it.
So take my advice don't but toshiba products they are not good."

What's not so great: returned 2 of these TVs, both with IR pickup issues in TV
"I bought this TV at Best Buy because the price was so good at $349. Now, I am thinking I know why Best Buy could offer such a great deal. This TV is a lemon. I have brought 2 of these home, and both of them out of the box would not work with the remote. The remote itself is working fine (per the tech on the phone) but neither of the TV's were picking up the signal reliably. Seems a very simple part to get right...makes me think the rest of the thing must be cheap, cheap, cheap too. I am going to return this one, and upgrade to something of better quality...not sure what yet. I am bummed... I would not recommend this TV to anyone, I am sorry to say. If this one little issue doesn't even work out of the box, I have grave concerns over Toshiba's quality assurance of products off the assembly line. I have put several sets of brand new batteries in the remote. Checked the remote signal with a digital camera (If you turn on your camera or camera in your phone, and look at the camera screen, point the remote at the camera, and hit some buttons on the remote, you will see the light that it emits. This means that the remote is working)
Can anyone recommend a better TV in the $400 range?"

"I got this TV because it was on sale, had got a 32 DYNEX a few weeks earlier that I just loved so figured this would be even better because of the brand name... boy was I wrong. The PS3 audio didn't work, then the firmware was outdated so I updated it, then that made the screen go to snow for regular HDTV... what a mess. My Dynex was plug and play and it's been awesome... this TV is a disaster and it's going back tomorrow and being replaced by another Dynex that I know already works. When it did work, it had a worse HDTV picture than my lower priced Dynex. Audio was weak and it lacks in features. I would not recommend this TV to ANYONE!"

"i bought this tv after I purchased a dynex tv for christmas. the dynex tv was diffected so i got my money back and i pitched in like 70 more dollars for this tv. this tv is the best. the sound is awesome as well as the picture. it was also easy to set up."

"I bought 2 of these during Thanksgiving weekend for my new business. We have bought mant Toshiba TV's at Best Buy over the years so I was confident of the product quality. This is the biggest TV I have bought and there is no compromise in picture qualiy.

"This is the second Toshiba lcd I have owned. I have had my 42" Regza for over 2 years & have not had any problems. That is the reason I decided to purchase this set. I purchased this set for my bedroom. The size & sound quality are perfect for a smaller room. The picture quality is very good as far as I am concerned.The remote is very easy to use & I like the glow in the dark controls. I also like the inputs ont the side.
I am sure there a better units on the market but I don't think I could get a better TV without spending a lot more money"

What's great about it: Great Product, Good Price
What's not so great: Almost too small
"Loved the TV. I have been using it for a few years now. The only reason I say its almost too small is because now I own the 46" big bother Toshiba Rezga. This line of Toshiba TV's are awesome. Before buying both I spent hours just watching the TV itself and the TV's around it and comparing the overall performance of the TV."

What's great about it: Sound is far better than other brands. Lots more bass. I have the 40' and the 32' without surround sound.

"I'm a Sony fanatic but I was looking for something cheaper so I bought this Toshiba and I'm surprised. Great picture quality after I set up the colors using the dynamic contrast, dynalight and mode in preference. Excellent inputs and outputs. Easy to set up to use like a pc so definately I'm very happy with my hdtv and I would recommend to anyone."

What's great about it: Clear, bright picture with only roof top antenna.
"Very user friendly remote, easy to program and set up. Great picture quality. Excellant sound quality. Great value for the amount of money spent. What's not so great: Input is on the left side so the cords show
"I saved my money over the summer to buy a tv for under $450. I looked at many best buy tvs and this one looked good and din't coast much. i bought when home and hooked it up in like 6 min. Every thing works fine. The only thing i dont like is the input on the side because you can see the cords, but not a big deal. The Graphics for all my xbox games (cod) are amassing. Movies are very clear 2. Overal great tv!"

"Got this tv for the low price. Have only had it a week, the picture is good and it was easy to set up. The only problem so far is the sound, it is very low. There is also some background static. I would recommend a sound bar to purchase with this product."

"I have had this TV for less than 2 years. For the past month, the screen goes black while the audio continues. I must shut off the TV and restart it to get the picture back. Sometimes this happens only once or twice during the evening. Other times it happens so often that I just shut it off and watch my other TV."

What's great about it: picture, sound

"This is a good TV. I had originally bought a 26" Samsung for the living room from another store but I took it back because the sound was so horrible. Then I tried a 26" Vizio, big mistake, took that one back real quick, it's not even worth going into detail. This TV actually costs less than the 26" Samsung. However, unlike the Samsung, the speakers on the Toshiba face forward instead of down. Maybe that accounts for the difference in the sound. This TV has a lot of bass; maybe too much. There is no EQ, just bass and treble controls. You can tweak the sound, but if you plan on getting surround sound or external speakers, then the sound will not be an issue for you. I don't plan on getting surround sound for my small apartment, so I want a TV that has good sound as well as a good picture. As far as the picture goes, it is not as good as the Samsung, but it's still a good picture. Definitely a big improvement over standard definition. I didn't notice any drop off in picture quality in viewing from different angles. Now as far as changing channels, when you change channels within the same picture format, say like 720p to 720p the channel changes really fast, like it should. But when you change channels between different formats, like say 720p to 1080i, or 1080i to 480i, then the TV actually shuts off and then turns back on, this takes like 5 seconds or so. I mention this because this TV accepts some HD channels in 1080i and others in 720p, so if you are going to channel surf from within HD channels and/or you are going to channel surf from HD channels to non HD channels, it's going to take awhile and it may get on your nerves. I know it did for me. I ended up taking this one back. I might as well find a TV that doesn't get on my nerves for any reason and has a great picture for the amount of money I'm spending. I'll try the 32” Panasonic next."
