What's great about it: Comfortable but it does not cancel noise like the Bose 15.

I didn't like this headphone, I ended up taking it back the next day and exchanging it for the Bose noise canceling 15 and i am extremely happy with that product.

What's great about it: not bulky, good battery life
What's not so great: not truely noise cancelling
I think that describing these as good or bad really depends on what you intend to use them for. I've had them since Christmas and have taken 3 airplane trips with them, they work fantastic. Block out all of the static background noise and are really clear watching movies or listening to music. However, I've brought them in to work a few times to try and drown out the chatter around my cubicle and I can say in that respect- FAIL. Not even really any muffling of voices, very disappointed in that. So, if your primary use is music and movies, go for it. If you're looking for some way to block noise at work, look elsewhere.

Working in a bay you are constantly interrupted by side conversations. Put these on and you can concentrate on what you want to. Comfortable enough to wear all day. Battery lasts for weeks.

I've tried ear buds and over the ear headphones and usually end up having to crank up the volume to overcome plane noise. A headache is just a matter of time. These headphones let me put music or books at a good listening level with NO sacrifice in sound quality.

These headphones are excellent as they provide both great sound quality and comfort to my ears, which is what most people would compain about based on other heaphone's reviews. I've had them for over six months now and use them frequently, with no major complaints. Noise Cancelling is not as great as the QC15, but it works very good, nevertheless.
The only thing I wish Bose would do is to add the inline remote/microphone cable just like in the QuietComfort 15, since I also own an iPhone and would be great if I could use my headphones for calls too.
If you can afford to spend more than the average cost of headphones, then by all means buy these!

This is my second purchase of the Bose QC3 Headphones because I left/lost my original pair on an airplane. I'd had them for a couple of years and enjoyed them so much, I just HAD to replace them. Well that and the fact that my significant other was tired of me stealing his QC3's.
These headphones are very comfortable and I use them primarily when traveling. I have other Bose products I use daily (Bluetooth, & MIE2i). The QC3's provide excellent noise cancelling benefits while still allowing one to hear most (not all) conversations that are directed to you (say, a flight attendant asking if I need something to drink).
The sound quality for music and videos is great and good enough for me on a plane. The on/off control is a simple sliding flat button on the right ear cup and pretty intuitive. Taking the LI battery out and charging it couldn't be easier and it charges quickly (the longest charge was 35m, if that).
I highly recommend the Bose QC3 Headphones.

Just purchased the Bose QC 3 headphones. VERY impressed!! Very light weight, very comfortable on the ears, very effective noise canceling system, VERY good sound quality- highs, mids and lows. I have had two other noise canceling head phones (Panasonic) and the Bose are so far the more superior.
Best Uses: When I travel, At work, At home, just cruising around

What's great about it: the sound canceling
What's not so great: the cables fall apart
The first time I used these head phones I was traveling to AZ via a 5 hour plan ride. One hour into the flight the left side of the phones cut off. So I played with the cable and found that the cable that pluges into the left side of the head phones had started to come appart. So now my only option is to order from Bose website ( Bestbuy does not sell replacement cables) a replacement cable for $15 plus shipping and I have to find a way to have it shiped to my hotel. I can't understand how a cable that comes with such a high quality product could be so poor in durability. I paid for the cable once with the purchace of the headphones and now i'm forced to pay more so I can continue to use the same headphones.

i find them to be light. good sound quality and i like the fact that you can zero in on a particular instument on the bose qualityand focus on what's going on.

I purchased these headphones to cutout the background noise of conversations and server fans that make my office difficult to focus. Without any music playing they cut the background noise of most of the servers and I'm still able to hear some of the conversations, enough to tell if they are talking to me but not enough to know how their personal lives are going. With music/movies playing it cuts the sound completely. Battery life is surprising good, I work 12 hours a day and probably have them on for 6 of the 12 and then use them in my room for talking on Skype.
I took two notches off the rating for the price, little steep but you get the quality. The other notch was for durability, I put them in the case everyday and the overall functionality is still holding up, the problem I have I have some scratches on them that I'm not sure how they got there. I treat them like you should treat a high dollar product so I'm a little bummed that there are scratches on them after only 3 weeks of use.

I bought these headphones for my husband as a birthday present. I hesitated a little because of the price, but I'm so glad I bought them. He was amazed at how well the noise cancelling feature works, and loves the sound quality. He insists that I get a pair for myself before we take our next trip together.

These are great headphones for noise cancelling. I use them for travelling and listening to music often. The noise cancelling is very impressive, one of the best I've ever used. The sound is also amazing and comes out in clear quality. There is also a good amount of bass which isn't overwhelming. These headphones are also very comfortable and can be adjusted to different head sizes. The battery built in lasts very long and I have been using the same one since I bought it a couple years ago. Overall, these headphones have impressive qualities in sound and noise cancelling.

I have to say I did NOT feel comfortable paying this much for a set of headphones but they are, HANDS DOWN, the BEST ones out there! Being the best, they can charge whatever they want, I suppose. I tried the Sony noise cancelling headphones (which aren't cheap either) and they don't even compare. I also tried some off brand and they worked as well as the Sony ones. Frankly, I don't know how Sony or anyone else can promote "noise cancelling" given their poor performance. Seriously, they don't even compare to the noise cancelling functionality these Bose have....these are awesome!!! I marked it down for durability because the leather around the earpiece just "feels" fragile. It's very soft and comfortable and I've only used these once for my recent flight to Venice so we'll see how they hold up.

What's great about it: Excellent sound, Long battery life, nice case
What's not so great: Case could be harder to protect better over time.
These are great headphones for sound quality and noise cancellation. My kids use them to focus while doing homework without music. I use them in the office and during air travel. I love mine so much that I bought a pair as a gift. They are expensive and well worth it. My only complaint is the soft case. I travel alot and pack these in my carry on. Over 2 years it has taken a toll on the case and the headphones, but they still work great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This headphones performs like the state of the art in sound quality and noise reduction, specially for planes and "stable" noices.
If there is a warm weather your ears could sweat and that is unconfortable, also if you have some rebel hair it could get realy messy with the upper part of the headset.
All in all, these are by far the best headphones I ever had.
