I purchased this camera from Best Buy on Thursday, and have shot over 30GB worth of photos and videos with it in just 4 days.
The highlights: This camera has every shooting mode under the sun. It will shoot 9 megapixel stills, up to 7 megapixel stills at the incredibly fast rate of 40fps, HD 720p video, and slow motion video ranging from 30-1000fps. It also has a 20x zoom (although I find the zoom to be only slightly longer than my Canon S3 IS "12x zoom", but the wide angle is much wider).
The camera is very easy to setup and use, although I am still trying to figure out some of the more advanced features (like the ability for the camera to automatically take photos when an object enters the frame).
Image quality is pretty good, about the same as my Canon S3 IS. It does much deeper blues and reds than the Canon, and doesn't have as bad chromatic aberration, but it's greens are a little too blue for my taste, and the off-whites need some more yellow. Noise isn't as high as I expected, but do realize this is not a DSLR, it's a small lens and a small sensor.
Lighting seems to be key with this camera. In direct sunlight, it takes amazing photos and videos, but in low-light, the high speed videos begin to suffer. I haven't had any that I took under normal lighting conditions come out unusable, but a few that I took in a very dim office nearly are.
My only complaints are minor, but here they are:
When shooting video, even with continuous AF off, it will still occasionally try to refocus, I find this very annoying
I cannot seem to find the settings to turn on move-in CS (motion-sensor triggers the camera)
While the latest firmware drastically improved write speeds for video, shooting single stills seems to take a long time to write to my class 6 memory card
I really don't like the proprietary USB connection, it is very difficult to find the right angle to get it to plug in because it's so narrow
Pleasant surprises:
Unlike the S3 IS, it remembers your photo and video settings very well, and if you set photos to manual focus and then want to take a video, the video will "pick up" that setting as well
The big 3" screen on the back is beautiful, with the Canon I mostly used the viewfinder, not so with the Casio
Startup time is faster than I expected based on other reviews, from power on to first shot isn't noticeably longer than the S3 IS
The flash is very bright and VERY fast, up to 5fps
Editing videos on the camera is ridiculously easy, hands down the best video editing GUI I've seen on a camera, makes it very easy to just keep the part of the video you want
Build quality is very good, I especially like the rubberized grip, it's much more secure than the Canon, and easier to hold despite it's heavier weight
I'll post a further review after I've spent some more time with it, and hopefully a few of my little quibbles will be fixed in upcoming firmware.
What's great about it: Features, features, and more features!
What's not so great: Image quality (it's not a DSLR... but it's good for P&S)
I would recommend this to a friend!

This camera allows the user to capture amazing images of things not typically visible to the human eye. The beating of insects wings, the splashing of water droplets, and more. Use your imagination, and there are millions of neat things to capture with the high speed video options. The resolution on the photos is good, and the burst feature is nice. It is possible to capture 40 full resolution (9 MP) images in one second. Be aware that it does take several seconds to store these after they are captured. But that is reasonable, given their quality!
Overall, great features for a very reasonable price.
What's great about it: High speed video capture is slick
What's not so great: Time to store images

I have a smaller Casio camera that I have use for over a year . It takes good shot but this one takes even better ones. I bought a Nikon camera a couple months ago and with the tremors from Parkinsons the shots were very blurry so I went back to a Casio and was shocked by the quality of the shots I get now. You can not find a better easier to take from the box and use.
What's great about it: it came on time and with parkinsons tremors I get great shots. It is easy to use and lite weight. The price was amazing
What's not so great: I did not like the carrying strap I got a better one .
I would recommend this to a friend!

The big feature set for this camera is the slow-motion and fast-firing picture modes, and they are a lot of fun to use. Video can be set to non-zoomable 210, 420, and 1000fps. The slo-mo videos need a LOT of light so it's for outdoor only unless you have big windows and/or have a very bright video light. 1000 is basically useless unless you like postage-stamp sized videos. Regular HD video is decent but you can not zoom with sound enabled.
Fast picture modes are nice; you are able to shoot at up to 40 pictures per second or 5 picture per second with a flash. The problem here is the "Busy" screen you will get after each burst as the camera saves the buffer, and you are asked to either save all or save selected. If you are shooting, say, basketball and you fire off 5 shots under the basket both teams may have already scored twice by the time you fiddle with which pictures to save. Of course it's faster to just save them all, but that will eat up your memory card very quickly.
OK how about pictures? Not bad, but not great either. Most are grainy when blown up, and most outdoor pics and videos seem way over-exposed. Autofocus is ridiculous; it seems to have trouble with focus in just about every scenario. Switching to flash and non-flash is stupid. Turn the flash on in the menu and flip up the flash to use it, sure, makes sense. But flip the flash down and the camera won't fire, instead telling you to "open the flash unit". Up is on, and down means off, get it? But nope this camera does not get it, you HAVE to physically shut the flash AND go through the menu to disable the flash, then do it in reverse if you want it on again.
If you want nice pictures and features that make sense, look elsewhere. You'll be fumbling with the controls to make simple changes so much that you will look like you have no idea how to use your camera.
What's great about it: Fun to play with slow-motion features
What's not so great: So-so pictures, bad picture taking modes, horrible auto-focus, no video zooming in all modes but one
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Since I am a Casio user for a long time, I find the controls on this camera very familiar. I think Casio software is intuitive and easy to pick up even as a new user. This camera takes great pictures / movies in HD. I bought this camera primarily for the HD movie capability and the 20 times zoom. The slow motion feature turned out to be fantastic plus for me. I make loads of family DVD presentations combining pictures and movies. At my grandson’s basketball game I tried the 1000 frame/sec feature. What a cool feature. You can watch the ball as it leaves the players hand until it goes through the hoop (or NOT) in a frame by frame sequence.
There are a lot of manual settings that I have not tried yet. Perhaps I will fix the noise problem that I am having with close up shots in low light. As far as battery life, I bought 8 rechargeable AA batteries and a charger. I always have four fresh batteries in the camera and 4 more with me just in case. That seems to work fine. The up side is that the camera uses standard batteries.
I would recommend this camera. It is fun, easy to carry and use.
There are a lot of manual settings that I have not tried yet. Perhaps I will fix the noise problem that I am having with close up shots in low light.
I would recommend this camera to every body as a fun easy to carry and use camera.
What's great about it: Very versatile Camera for the cost
What's not so great: Movies have a lot of noise in low light and zoom in situations. It eats batteries.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I upgraded from a Fuji FinePix S5200, I am not a profesional photographer but take in excess of 5,000 pictures per year so I tried to find a similar camera that would be ready to go from the start. I found exactly what I as looking for in the Casio 9.1-Megapixel Digital Camera, the resolution is crisp and once I figured the settings for each shot I can tell the camera responds pretty much as needed. I did waste several shots in trying to figure out all the correct settings. The only problem I see with this camera is the amount of power required by the zoom, it does drain the batteries quickly, specially if you record video. To get around that I limit the use of video and take the LCD off. The camera came with a 2 Gig card, which got full really quick when I took HD video, I will be buying a larger memeory card, probably 8Gig.
What's great about it: start-up buttons, zoom, location of controls, size, LCD screen, video, menus
What's not so great: batteries get drained quickly

This camera is perfect for capturing action shots with. It has many settings that one can pick and choose from when taking photos and this enables the photographer to take a variety of different shots. The 20x zoom lens is perfect when taking shots outside and the photos are not blurry when they come out. The video capability is also very nice and I did not have a difficult time utilizing it. The camera started up very quickly and so far I have had no problems with it.
What's great about it: 20x zoom lens, captures motion shots well, amazing settings
What's not so great: nothing so far

I have taken some rather nice pictures at concerts (they're on Flickr in the EX-FH20 group). The size doesn't alarm the security people and it's a good camera-for-the-day. Mulitple image capability can be useful under the right circumstances, but don't expect too much.
The bad: Although you can shoot past ISO 400, it's noise city. Same thing with digital zoom...past about 1.4x it's color bricks. Finally, the SD slot has always been tricky and now it's not latching the card in, so it's going back to Casio for warranty repair.
.
Wish....That you could get the HS movies at a higher resolution
What's great about it: Small size, the slo mo and multiple picture capability
What's not so great: Past iso 400 forget it, not very durable/bad SD slot design, Digital zoom past 1.4

Let me just start by saying, aside from the amazing array of features on this camera, it's tons of fun. The SLO-MO is my personal favorite, well, that and the burst mode. While it does have brilliant stills, the video is amazing to shoot with. I love the 30-210 fps mode because it shows the drastic difference between regular speed (which is brilliant already) to slow motion, which really seems like you're entering a wrinkle in time, seriously.
Yesterday I went to a gymnastics meet, and wow, did it blow my mind. Being able to look back and see the girls hurdling down toward the vault at normals speed (which sincerely looks like fast forwarding) and then click right over to 210 mid-shot for some mid air hang time. I can't even believe how gorgeous it is. I'm pretty sure I'm a cinematographer right now, and I won't stop!!
What's great about it: simple controls, amazing features, very straight forward, great for p&s
What's not so great: low light issues, not dslr
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been using the camera for about 2 weeks now and I am so hooked on the Casio FH-20. My family and friends do a lot of action sports stuff and I had to carry a few cameras all the time, which was getting tiresome. When I came aross this camera which had a 20x Optical Zoom, F2.8 (only seems to be that with super sunny conditions or with the flash up, usally around F4 ) and the coolest features of slow motion and burst mode, I thought that it was a to good to be true kind of thing. But I got it anyways to check it out. The first day I had it I had such an easy time of minipulating the settings, modes and playing with the slow motion videos.
I was able to do a lot of shooting and slow motion stuff for everyone. It is so easy to post to you tube and myspace pages.
The colors were amazing and at times they didnt seem to even be real.
Now on my 7th camera, the casio FH-20 is a a great choice for those who want a mini SLR and dont want to have to haul around the gear to shoot.
What's great about it: SLOW Motion video, easy to use and small but mighty
What's not so great: Low light limited focus

With all the features this camera boasts I think Casio forgot about the pirmary function of all cameras, which is to take still pictures. The Ex-FH20 is more like a cheap camcorder than a camera, the picture quality is horrible with a lot of noise and improper colors. The EX-FH20 couldn't even focus on an object 5-6 feet way in normal indoor lighting on Auto setting, needless to say I returned the EX-FH20 and purchased the Canon Powershot Sx10 IS which is far better and cheaper than the Casio EX-FH20, save your money for something better.
What's great about it: A lot of great features
What's not so great: Poor Picture quality
