one very awesome system it seriously rocks loved the game that came with it too its awesome im currently am buying more video games for my ps3 and i play alot of seriously video games that are seriously hard to beat including grand theft auto and wwe video games and other rated m video games as well

My first PS3 had the blu laser reader go out and had to have it replaced through Sony, but otherwise the price seems high when you first buy it. However, when you consider it doubles as the best blu ray player out there you quickly realize that it's by far the best deal out there!
What's great about it: Blu-ray, amazing graphics
What's not so great: Price a little high

easy to set up to my internet connection both wireless and with the cable. It does connect and dowload faster with the internet cable attached. easy to hook up to bluetooth as well. i hooked it up with the bluetooth from my cell phone and it worked great! Uncharted is a fantastic game! The gameplay is very fun and the graphics rock! I cant wait for Uncharted 2! I dont have an HD tv and the graphics r still far better! Have a little trouble readin the cell phone is GTA4 though. Would reccommend getting an extension usb cord to charge the controller while playing. The 160 gig is def worth the buy! I have over 18 demos stored and still have all kinds of room!
What's great about it: everything! Easy set up, easy playstion store shopping
What's not so great: cord to charge controller is very short

never will you have to worry about running out of space on your hard drive with this ps3, and with 2 free games, this is flawless

This is the best gaming console ever. The graphics are awesome a must buy. The games are awesome but do not reccomend it to younger kids cause games are moslty t. If you like awesome graphics, sweet games, and a kick but console you should get one ASAP.

the PlayStation 3 has definitely got to be the greatest console out of the three. if you love a talented and wide variety of games and entertainment you need a ps3, it has everything. you don't need to buy any extra components like other devises, it uses the highest quality video in evey game. you can watch any format of movies even downloaded content but really blue ray is the only real way to see movies! don't obsess over the price. in truth your getting it at the perfect price over any competitor. free online REAL web browsing and free downloadable content. talk and chat with friends online and around the world with in-game video and text chat. family fun and hardcore gaming can be had with this perfect machine.
What's great about it: everything!
What's not so great: nothing (no lie the ps3 is the best)

I bought my first PS3 in November 2007, I only had it for a 6 months and the Blue Ray disc reader failed to recognize any kind of Disc (Movie,Game,Music). I went online to find some answers on the problem. I realized that I had to send it for repair. I called sony and they told me they had to charge 200 dollars for the repair. I decided to go with a new system and bought a new one. I got the 80g one. I am glad that I got the warranty from bestbuy cause after 6 months it failed again. My system keeps freezing and also wont read the disc again. I laugh at the 3 month warranty that Sony offers what a JOKE. Now I'm going to trymy third system. Hope this one is the one. I would never buy any Sony product again.
What's great about it: Graphics
What's not so great: really bad hardware

The PS3 is a great system for the most part. It has some really good graphics, and Uncharted was a fun game. It also plays dvds a lot better than the PS2 did. I do have a few problems with it though. Mainly the lack of backwards compatability and hi-def cables. Overall it's a great console and the game selection is getting a lot better this year.
What's great about it: Great graphics and load times
What's not so great: no backwards compatabiltiy

this system is not what i tough. is better. the graphics are excellent no failure at all the wireless controller has range around all my house i went from my room to my brothers room and it still works. long lasting remote battery i played the hole day the second day i bough it and no recharge needed. sixassis feature is awesome but you might want to buy another game along with uncharted i think is a little short, but it is a good game.plus you get access to internet and you can download demos. sure you can't use ps2 games on it but if you bought a ps2 game you are sure to have a ps2, and seriously are you going to buy a ps3 to play ps2 games on it. like i said awesome system.

Yes, the PS3 is awesome. My only complaint is about the game that came with this bundle, Drake's fortune. While it was fun to play, had awesome graphics and sound, it simply wasn't long enough. I beat the game in 10 hours. I was hoping for 50, would've settled for and been happy with 30, but 10?! C'mon! Otherwise very happy with my purchase. If there's a sequel to Drake's Fortune though, I'll definitely buy it.
What's great about it: Blu Ray looks awesome at 112 inches!!
What's not so great: Drake's Fortune was fun but wasn't long enough.

Until recently I would have touted the PS3 as the greatest gaming console ever, however, in reality, the lack of available games, terrible warranty, and refusal of Sony to fix known problems in the Blu Ray Drive makes this a terrible value unless you plan on also purchasing a 5-year extended warranty. Even microsoft wised up and fixed their known issues for free on the Xbox 360.
Because of a known failure, I now have to either pay $260 to fix my PS3 and hope it doesn't happen again, or throw it in the trash and get a new one hopefully with the longest available extended warranty from Best Buy.
I never thought I would bash Sony, but my PS2 still works and I bought it in... 2000. My PS3 barely lasted over a year never being moved, thrown, dropped, etc... and is now completely useless unless I feel like turning it on and seeing the home screen. After researching my problem online, I see that there are hundreds and probably thousands of PS3 owners who have experienced the same failures and have sent petitions to Sony to extend the warranty on certain components, but to no avail.
To be fair, if it weren't for the horrible failure issues and terrible warranty it is an amazing gaming console, the free online gaming world is great, and the Blu-Ray player is the perfect touch allowing it to not only be a gaming system, but the centerpiece to your home theatre system... if it works.
What's great about it: Performance and functionality
What's not so great: Horrible Failure rate... apparently hundreds of owners have experienced laser and player drive failures after 1-2 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

"Wow' the PS3 is one high performance machine. The graphics is slightly better than the Xbox, but its better overall. I like the light-weight controllers its feels as light as an iPod. A new software add on you can get with the PS3 is called PS3 "home". It is an online virtual chat room where you can create your own home display achievements and create an avatar. Back to the PS3. I hear rumors about the "size" of it. Well It would basically be the size of Xbox, but the brick for the PS3 is built in which makes seem so much larger. You know what they say, "Bigger is sometimes better". The ONE problem I have with it, is that the games take up too much space. That all I have to say about this beast.
What's great about it: Great Graphics and tons of room
What's not so great: how much game space it takes up

The PS3 does just about everything I could ask of an entertainment system. I use it to play games (with amazing graphics), of course, but it's also my Blu-Ray player, a convenient Internet access terminal, and it streams music and videos from my PC-based media server to my A/V receiver across my wireless network. The user interface is well thought-out and very intuitive (can't say that about the XBOX or the WII).
For everyone who believes the PS3 is too expensive, particularly as compared to the XBOX 360, consider two things. Wireless networking is built into the PS3 but costs an extra $100 for the XBOX, and online gameplay is free with Playstation Netowrk, while you'll pay $50/month with the XBOX. Ultimately, you'll spend more on an XBOX 360 to get close to the functionality of the PS3.
On the negative side, if you have a lot of PS2 games this particular model might be a disappointment because it does not support them. I understand other PS3 models do, though.

What's not so great: Incompatible with PS2 games

I can't say how much I LOVE this system so much, first of all it has blu-ray, which is awsome cause' I can watch HD movies, and the games are blu-ray, second is that the games are quite great, like Uncharted, Little Big Planet, and Hawx. Although the PS3 has 2 USB ports and no card reader, it's not any deal to me, besides it can save videos, music, and pictures. Overall, the graphics are amazing, HOME is fun, and if you want an AWSOME system, and pretty much no problems, than get this system. You will be satisfied, guaranteed!!!!!
What's great about it: Huge space, cool games, quiet fan, free online, free wi-fi, can store just about anything.
What's not so great: Nothing at ALL!!!

I'm kind of tired of the shooter games, need more good racing games like Burnout Paradise. Already beat that game. Can't wait until Fuel comes out next month! Uncharted is great, Prince of Persia fun because we can't die in it! LOL Overall, 160 gb is great, just wished it was backwards compatible...but, we still have our 60 gb and it is.
What's great about it: QUIET! No loud fan like my 60 gb. Games are great, storage capacity huge!
What's not so great: Not backwards compatible, high price still. Only 2 usb ports, had to buy usb multiplier, no big deal. Need more games!

This is the greatest console and maybe entertainment system alive! I can not believe this is not a fantasy. Probably the best buy i had made since i bought the iphone 1G in 2007. No words can describe how great it is but i will go down the list of its greatness. First of all it has Blu Ray, which is the greatest graphics and is combined in their games. Also it has free wifi and online gaming network which is the best. It has HOME, which rocks. Also you can store your favorite videos, photos, and even music! This is the complete package and next generation gaming. I also love how the controller has vibration and motion sensing. And the fan is silent a there is definatly no such thing as a RED RING OF DEATH! Hahahahahahahaha. I love it. And they have the best games and accecories in the world. This is the best product ever made except for the Iphone, which rocks.
If anyone out their likes having videos,photos, music, Blu ray, the best games and graphics, then their is no doubt about it that this is the best product alive! PS3 FOR LIFE!

Okay the console wars are here and so far the wii is fun but can get extremely repetitive. So i move to Ps3 where i have real 1080P horsepower! It will not cost you a yearly or monthly fee to play online. It will not scratch your discs when you jump up & down in victory over your online opponent or your poor unsuspecting next door neighbor. There will never be a "RING OF DEATH" issue which is property of Microsoft and XBOX 360 & is used with out permission of either party. And the biggest factor of all is your account will not get hacked for the sum of over $1000.00 U.S. like my Xbox LIVE accountt was ! Yeah it's a steeper price but if you buy any other system and decide you want a quality BLU RAY player you will pay well over $600.00 U.S. plus you don't have to replace your regular DVD's with BLU RAY because it will not only play them but it will also upconvert your old DVD to 720P,1080i, or even 1080P ! And you can definitely tell the difference. IF you can"t then you need to pop in Monsters INC. by Disney and use their THX video optimiser which will correct your TV's picture Quality ! Well hope this helped Dispell any Rumors and Ultimately Its your hard earned cash. You have to decide which one gives you more Bang for the Buck ! P.S. I almost forgot to tell you , PS3 Greatest Hits go for $19.99 while Xbox PLatinum goes for $29.99. Same games yet Xbox wants $10.00 more. Oh Well!

Great System!!! I've had this thing for a week now and its amazing!!! before this, i had a 360 and i wasn't satisfied. So, i upgraded to this piece of work and this just blew the 360 away in my opinion. any way the game was great , and the 160GB is amazing . Great price for double the memory and a game (59.99). Highly Recommended!!!
What's great about it: HDMI, Blu-Ray, the list goes on and on...
What's not so great: Fingerprints of course ( but that's pretty minor)
