What's great about it: Easy to set up and get more channels than we did with the other brand
What's not so great: Need to move in different directions if we want other channels
We have been in the market for Antennas for quite some time. We have been through many different antennas ranging from Rabbit Ears to flat panel antennas claiming they receive 50+ miles of range and have not performed well at all. With this Antennas Direct ClearStream c4 we receive about 20 channels which is pretty good compared to 16 with our last antenna. However, we still have to move it if we want to receive all the other channels. I would recommend this Antennas Direct antenna to anyone that lives in challenging areas (hills, buildings, traffic). We were also very happy with our local Bestbuy because they price matched for us and had it in stock. Which was nice, so we didn't have to wait while it was shipped from across the country.

What's great about it: Gets all the free stations this far out from Houston with ease of installation
What's not so great: Weather still affects some channels
This compact unobtrusive outdoor antenna gives me the best reception in years without having to pay the high priced cable rates. The location is almost outside the range of reception so the picture occassionally is pixilated in extereme weather.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Long range, light weight
What's not so great: Mounting is not as simple as it could be
Antenna provides good range and is light weight. It requires some assembly which is fairly simple. The mounting of the antenna requires some skill and time.

Was able to get 25 channels, sometimes i can get more. but pleased with it. Bought for second home, did't want to have a bill where i'm not at all the time.

What's great about it: Real humans answer phone
What's not so great: very directionally specific
I'm a sucker for anything non-cable. This actually works. It needs to be pointed very carefully--two degrees off and nothing. Generally only pulls in one city in one direction and needs re-positioning for a city next door.

What's great about it: Build quality, Design
What's not so great: Only average reception for the price
Bought this to replace a reasonably cheap antenna that I got from RadioShack years ago. The old antenna sits down low on the TV stand and the signal is fine, but breaks up if people are walking around in front of it. I figured I could get a better reception if I was able to wall mount something up higher on the wall. After getting the wife's approval, this is the antenna I picked.
End result: No improvement. Possibly even a little worse. Still broke up the picture if people were to move around. If I pointed it one way, I could get one channel about as well as I used to, but I would get worse reception on some other channels. It seems perhaps a little too directional. My old antenna gets pretty decent reception and it is definitely more forgiving in terms of direction.
Was really expecting more from this antenna. I think it would have worked great on the roof, and if I wasn't in an apartment, I would have probably tried that.
It's not a bad antenna. Just not worth the extra $100 over the old antenna that's (mostly) working just fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: so simple to get set up
I just have the antenna set up beside the TV and still get 8 channels in a small market area. Most of the towers it gets signals from are about 35 miles away. When I get it put set up in my attic I am sure it will be great

What's great about it: HD TV reception quality is excellent
What's not so great: Construction is a bit flimsy - lots of small pieces
Let's just say I was surprised a small terrestrial antenna could pick up such great reception! I live about 50 miles southwest of Chicago and I've been wanting to cut the cord from Comcast Cable for a while now. I mounted this antenna in the attic pointed it northeast and I get all the local channels - 2, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12 and about 20 more in perfect detail. It's well worth the price if you're looking to cut cable and still receive local TV stations.
By the way, the manufacturer claims the antenna can be mounted outside. There's a lot of small parts (bolts and wing nuts) that are required to assemble the antenna and the wire mesh seems like it would not hold up for an extended period of time outside. I found it works just great in the attic - so I'd recommend trying it there first before mounting it outside.

What's great about it: Receives most channels without the wind distruption.
What's not so great: Does not receive as many channels as an outdoor antennae.
We purchased this intending to put it in our attic because our windy conditions disrupt our TV reception. This is definitely better reception during windy days. The only downfall, so far, is we do not receive as many channels as we did with our outdoor antennae. We live about 50 miles from the nearest tower, so I guess this is pretty good.

What's great about it: Can work indoors near a window or outide and catch signals 50+ miles away
Bought this as I didn't want to pay for cable but needed a long range antenna that could catch Indianapolis signals since I'm 50-60 miles away. It's sleek and I just keep it near a window and can pick up Fox, CW, ABC, and CBS. It could probably pick up more if it were roof mounted but I didn't want to permanently mount it. Overall I'm satisfied and will eventually try and set it up outside to see if I can get more stations.

Let me start off by saying "WOW" Thank you for building a superior product. I've installed my ClearStream 4 Antenna in my attic and I had my television locate all the channels. Every single channel in my area for 60 + miles that is available showed up and they are crystal clear. The Install and setup was extremely easy. The box as well as the directions were designed to help every customers. This is a AAA product. Thank you!

What's great about it: Phenomenal reception, clear picture (clearer than I was receiving with the cable company), forgiving tuning (placement).
What's not so great: It's not cheap, but I think it's worth every penny.
I can't say anything bad about the product. Took it out of the box, assmbled it, mounted it, connected it to the existing cable company's splitter and I was off and running. 4 x TV's being fed from the signal with no deterioration (not sure of that is a normal thing for these types of antenna#. My neighbor had installed the same antenna and pointed his east....I maxed out the signal strength meter on my TV when pointing the antenna north, consistently getting 90% or better signal strength. Neighbor pointed his north #towards Mount Wlson) and improved his signal on some of the weaker channels.....moral is..you don't need a lot of special tuning equipment to get a good signal as it receives great signals even pointed 90 degrees from the source. Love it!

If I lived in the suburbs or even about 20 miles closer to the towers, this would have been great. Even from where I live, the picture on the TV was clear and would've allowed me to get rid of cable since I was able to have all of my local channels and sports. The issue was that where I live caused it to not pull in strong enough of a signal to have a steady picture. While yes, I could've adjusted the antenna, I knew that if my location was that poor to begin, no adjustment would make it perfect, especially in the winter months when waves don't go as far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm happy with this investment although I'm a bit nervous that this will not not survive a cruel northeast winter, we'll see. It was easy to assemble and I would recommend the 18" mount for outdoor use. I've had it up for a few weeks but have not yet tried to tweak my position to optimize reception. I'm between Boston and northern NH transmissions and need to find the sweetspot to get most of these channels, I am getting about 18 channels after initial installation.

What's great about it: signal strength, it works well
After some adjustments trying several locations and antenna’s, I have found that this antenna works exceptionally well when placed correctly in my attic. I am running the signal from the attic into an amplifier and then a 3 way splitter and the signal is excellent. I had also tried the RCA antenna (MSRP $80) and it was vastly inferior. This antenna is not designed for VHF only UHF but I am able to the High-V channels without issues now that the antenna is placed well. The most important thing to remember when setting up an antenna is that it is a trial and error process to find the best spot.

I drove 90 miles to Best Buy to by an antennae that would pick up stations 100+ miles away. This antennae advertised to be a long distance antennae and the salesman said it would be perfect for what I needed. The problem, however, was that it didn't pick up any low range channels, nor any VHS channels that were at the same distance from the others. I was told to get adapters, amplifiers, etc to help...then I found someone at Radio Shack that explained to me the real problem....This antennae does NOT work for VHS channels, no matter what you add to it. For the price, it sure is lacking in usage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
