What's great about it: easy to use once used to Vista, budget freindly price price
What's not so great: video card is not so good....
" This is a great pc, I am a gamer and was disapointed with the video card, but i spent 50$ on a card and i can run Empire Total War ( a high end game) on ultra graphics!! speakers are great, keyboard is OK, and it runs smooth, also impressed with the quick boot up. The extra Mem. is a good bonus. Took awile to get used to vista though, also a good multitasker (5-6 windows) , overall, a great deal for your money."

What's great about it: decent but cause problems that can be fixed.
What's not so great: the dell company puts cheap harddrive
ive had this for 6 months and i use it for business and home. I found out that the dell compnay put a cheap hard drive which cause my computer problems to start up. The result of this broken hard drive had lead me to lose all my files and programs. Lucky, I saved my important files on my usb. Anyways this is a good desktop but i would change the hard drive to a better brand when you first have it.

What's great about it: The fast processing speed and multi-tasking ability! The hard-drive space! The sleek style!
What's not so great: Vista takes some getting used to...
This is a fantastic computer! Perfect for any college student like myself to use for schoolwork, gaming, and social networking! Excellent at running multiple programs all at once! Definently reccommend it! Easy to set up as well, even for a computer rookie!

What's great about it: Graphics are great speed is great.
What's not so great: Not being up on Vista.
The speed of this computer is what really impressed me. I have not had any problems with it at all. The only thing that slows me down is not knowing Vista very well.

What's great about it: Vaery Fast, quite, no issues with fan. System came with monitor and printer
What's not so great: Cheap Keyboard and mouse, very weak
So far, very realible. Some reviews had issues with fan noice, this systems does not. Came with a throw in Canon printer and 20' monitor. Best Buy was very helpful in helping me choose. I have always had Gateways, and I am not disapoointed with this. 6G of Ram helps

What's great about it: easy to set up, good price, lots of memory, memory card readers
What's not so great: seems to get much slower with time, horrible speakers
Well i bought this computer about six months ago, my first computer on my own that i needed for school as well as recreational purposes. I'm not gonna act like i know a lot about computers, because i don't but overall this was a decent buy. You aren't getting a high end product but it is decent for the money. The only problems i have with it is in the last two months it seems like the internet browser freezes a lot. i dunno if it is the computer for sure but i have really good virus protection so i would assume that it is a hardware problem. and i have noticed that it has started to take longer to load pages, and i would think that it wouldn't have a hard time after only six months!!! Oh and the speakers are horrible and blew out in like 2 months!!! Other than that i have had no problems it has even lasted through far too many power outages and has never caused me a problem!!

What's great about it: Very Quiet, extremely fast, reliable so far, plently of memory, excellent price, easy to set up, 750 Gig Hard drive!
What's not so great: One thing that does bug me is when you turn it on, it sounds like the shuttle taking off, they should fix that.
This is my second Dell (my first one, an 8300 lasted 7 years), so I decided that I would go with another one, and SO far I'm thrilled to death as I was with my first one.
Just recently saw that PC World had named this particular model the BEST Budget computer of the year. Good Recommendation right there!
I'm sorry to see some of the other individuals that purchased this particular Dell were having so much trouble with it, I suppose I have been both lucky and getting a good machine to work with.
IMHO having worked with Dell computers for over 8 years now, you can't go wrong with this model and if your on the fence, jump off and get your feet wet and go to your nearest Best Buy store and pick one of these babies up.
I upgraded to a 24 Inch Wide Screen Monitor........SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!
Also upgraded to a 4-1 Printer, Scanner, Copier and Fax machine....Niiiiice!
Best of luck if you decided to get this model, I think you'll fall in love with it.

What's great about it: Quick easy setup, fast, quiet, internet is faster, everything is faster
What's not so great: I had to learn Vista ... old machine was XP
Had to replace an old EMachine that was 6 years old and on a bad surge protector right after a power outage, the brown out and surge fried the old machine, it would not boot and then would not start up, not worth fixing.... So along with this Dell computer I purchased a battery backup surge protector (highly recommended only $49). This Dell machine is super quiet compared to my old machine and has a very fast processor, tons of memory (6GB) and a huge hard drive for an unbelievable price from a qualtiy company like Dell. You really can't go wrong with this computer. I luckily had all my data backed up on Idrive.com which I highly recommend also. I am back in business in under 24 hours. I use this as my business machine as a small business owner, consultant.

What's great about it: Fast, 6G RAM, huge HD.
What's not so great: It died on the 8th day.
I thought I loved this PC, and I did for the first week. On the 8th day, it died on me. lol. That kinda sucks. Now I have to send it off for (so they say) 2 or 3 weeks. I think if it dies that quickly, Best Buy should just give you a new one.
Anyway, it was super fast and nice throughout its short little life.
I played Dungeons and Dragons Online with it for a couple of days, no problems whatsoever.
I would really, really like to be able to recommend this PC,
BUT IT DIED IN 8 DAYS!!!!!!!

What's great about it: quiet!, fast, lots of memory, good price, 64 bit vista, warranty
What's not so great: usb ports in front too close together, not enough usb ports in back
I bought this computer to replace one which was 10 years old and could no longer be upgraded. I am really pleased with how quiet it runs and it is fast when I scan through pictures and I love that it has a large ram and lots of memory. the processor is 2.8 ghz, not 2.5 like the ad says. Although there are 4 usb ports on the front, I find I can only use 2 at a time because they are so close together that I can only plug in one device across each row. I like that it has a camera card reader and I am not sure what the other card readers are for yet. I wish it had more usb devices in the back as I already ran out of ports and had to buy a usb 'extension cord' to plug everything in. Over all I think the computer is great for what I was looking for and the price I wanted to pay. So far I have had no real problems with it, except when I put it in sleep mode and couldn't get it out! I had to turn off the computer and restart it to get it to work again. don't know if that is a computer issue, or vista issue or just me.
the graphics card has no hdmi or dvi slots but for my uses that is fine, but something to consider if you are looking for more.
I did pay $40 to have it 'checked out' by best buy before I took it home and make me a restore cd because I didn't think it came with one but it DOES so I got a refund on the cd. I don't know if that was worth it or not, but it does run great so far and I am no computer guru. I also like that it has a 1 year warranty where if anything goes wrong I can just bring it back to Best Buy for them to fix. I have had the computer almost 2 weeks now.

What's great about it: It is sleek, and it looks great.
What's not so great: Can be slow at times
It's a good computer. It does get sluggish at tines, and it seems to lock up a lot. Overall, it's a great computer, just very sensitive. The keyboard and speakers it comes with aren't very good. At it's best, it's a stable, hard working computer. It supports a wireless network, and gives me fast and easy access to the Internet. That makes it my best friend.
