Well i have had this computer since April 2009 i love it!! i was a little dissapointed when it came with no speakers or vga cord but it was no problem to me because i have it connected to my tv with vga cord (from my old computer) and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cord.. i use this computer for making graphics, music, visual styles for vista and odjects for video games.. it also plays some of my favorite old pc games from 2003-2007 some with max and some with medium settings great before i did any upgrade to it.. i bought some upgrades for it 3 months ago (HP multimedia wireless keyboard, GeForce 8400 GS 256mb graphics card, PNY 4gb ram kit and a 300watt PSU) because it lags on the sims 2 on max settings and default settings on the sims 3 now after the upgrades the sims 2 (on max settings) and sims 3 (default settings) runs great!! i couldnt be more happy with this computer!! now im bout to buy Windows 7 and a bigger harddrive for it!
What's great about it: Size, multimedia, not loaded with useless pre-installed programs
What's not so great: hard to find good PSU's for it.. and the keyboards wire are really easy to break if you move the keyboard every minute

Well, I just got it so I dont have much to say. Doesnt have a bunch of unnessescary software which is good. But I was forced to drive all the way back to the store to get a vga cable. Be advised, this pc only has vga. Very wired because hp provided dvi d to dvi d in box. They should have supplied vga.
What's great about it: space saver and price
What's not so great: no expansion

I was looking for a desktop so that I could help my mom with her real estate work. It has been great so far and has helped me easily make flyers with a template it has on the computer. My only problems were that 1.It didn't come with speakers(I work well when listening to music while I work) and 2. when I would get on this website for real estate(MLS) it freezes for some reason. I tried going on it on another computer and it was fine, it was just mine.Im sure we will get it fixed and I am happy about this computer, it just needs some ajustments.
What's great about it: Had a great price and was pretty easy to set up.
What's not so great: did not come with speakers, is slow at times.

the computer is really great but if you really want a fast computer upgrade to the 4gb one with 500hardrive in it it goes really more faster but this computer is pretty good with all the features that comes with it
What's great about it: all the features that come with the hp is great
What's not so great: some programs really bother you like the hp advisor so if your going to get this comp have that program taken off

I bought this computer after having an eMachines for 2 years. Already an upgrade and a positive. I've always thought HP's were one of the best. I completely disagree with that notion since i've had this computer. It's my family computer and all of us have important school work or programs for work. ever since having some of these programs, multi-tasking is such a unpleasant experience. Vista is so confusing and the computer cannot handle much at all. i suggest a Mac, or something with an intel processor. i will never buy anything will an AMD processor again.
What's great about it: small size, features
What's not so great: extremely slow after 3 months of use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this computer several months ago and have not had any problems with it, it does not overheat like alot of the reviews say, it is very fast and you can open many things at once. Just want to say if your looking for a new computer that doesn't take up alot of space this is the one for you, and it is not alot of money I only paid $500 and it came with a 20 inch monitor. A lot that I looked at either didn't come with a monitor or it came with only a 17 inch and they were more expensive. Buy one and you will love it!
What's great about it: It was very easy to set up and I don't know much about computers and I have not had any problems at all
What's not so great: Have not found anything yet except the speakers aren't as loud as I would like but just purchased additional speakers

I purchased this computer for regular home use (internet, pictures, writing letters) about six months ago. So far I have had no problems with it. The internet is fast, it runs smoothly, and it is not big and bulky like other CPUs. It is also very easy to use.
What's great about it: runs well and is easy to use
What's not so great: I have no complaints

I have had some capatability issues with the 64bit, its too new and older programs may have compatability issues, Some Printer drivers have issues. These all seem to be more Windows issues. So far I have had no problems with the hardware. Adobe Acrobat freezes once in awhile. I dont like the HP advisor/updater it tends to cause slower performance when running and most of the updates are not necessary. Internet Explorer tends to crash with Adobe once in awhile. Software manufacturer issues. Computer does work fast and is a good work computer. I leave mine on 24hrs seven days a week it never overheated or crashed. It communicates with printers on network quickly and I have been satified with it as a workhorse. Media slots are awesome because I have employees who take photos on multiple devices and I can retrieve them from the many devices. That is a great feature. No more addons to buy they are right here.
What's great about it: Media Slots, It runs smoothly
What's not so great: Should be 4G Ram not 3G

It was slow from the start. HP's online technical support is awful. Like I was talking to a computer generating random responses. It started locking up on me as soon as the factory warranty expired. How convenient. I will not buy another HP product.
What's great about it: It's small.
What's not so great: It's slow and it locks up. HP's tech support is terrible.

We bought this pc about 4 months ago. It has started to shut down and get BSOD. I ran the hp diagnostics and came up with memory error BIOME-1. I also noticed it was getting very warm. It would lock up at first HP load screen. Then unable to access any functions. Rebooting did not work. Letting it sit and cool down for several hours seemed to work. I am now in the process of sending it to HP for repair which may take 3-4 weeks. I would rather swap out memory but HP doesn't do that. It would be nice to see more fans in the case. With such a small compact design they forgot about cooling. The cpu fan and power supply fan are not enough. I have learned my lesson and will not by HP again.
What's great about it: Price
What's not so great: Overheats and causes to lock up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the quad core HP slim line for myself. I had great luck with my quad core and wanted to stay within the HP family so I bought my son this dual core HP slim-line. This has been a great computer. The set-up was very easy and self explanatory. Has a very large hard drive that will hold just about anything an average person would need to put on it. This has very easy plug and play devices. This machine has all component plug ins that are vital. The design is very sleek. Have had no problems with this machine. This comes with a waranty as well. Great Product and I will stay with HP.
What's great about it: Simplicity, compact design, price
What's not so great: nothing

I bought this computer about 3 weeks ago. So far it's done everything I've wanted. It's great at multi-tasking. Video quality is great for watching movies online... the 3gb DDR2 handles it great! It's a great space saver and doesn't overheat like mentioned in other reviews. Of course I just shut it off after use. So far it's been running smooth and hasn't given me problems, the alerts set up through HP are helpful and set up great reminders. I couldn't have asked for a better computer.
I did have one small issue where the initial start up after week 2 didn't boot up smoothly but the computer ran a self check and corrected the error itself. It's a great product! I'd recommend to anyone who is looking for a ton of hard drive space, ease of use, and great multi-tasking speeds.
What's great about it: Size, ease of use, fast multi tasking
What's not so great: Nothing!

I bought this computer because it was smaller than a regular computer but realized really quick that it was very hard to upgrade. I wanted to install a better graphics card to play games on it and I found out that normal size cards don't fit! They are too big! AND Best Buy does not sell cards that fit! How dumb is that? They sell this computer but do not sell upgrades for it! I think that graphics cards for this computer are special order or something from HP. So I returned it and got a regular size desktop (Compaq Presario) so I could upgrade to my hearts content.
What's great about it: Smaller than regular desktops, lots of memory card slots
What's not so great: Very hard to upgrade!

Have had this for about 1 year 3 months and no problems thus far. it still runs smoothly and has only froze on me maybe a hand full of times. I generally use it for school work and internet surfing (has quite a bit of memory for music, pics, and videos), nothing real heavy, which is exactly why i bought it. i bought a game windows game for it and it was choppy, but after configuring the options, it runs smoothly, but defenitely not for hardcore gaming (i game on my PS3 anyways). also, i noticed that everyone that has problems has macfee antivirus. i run webroot and i think it's better. Also, i dont have an excessive amount of software on it or bogus downloaded programs that just take up ram, which is why it still runs fast. Overall, im happy with mine and would recommend this to anyone that needs a PC for a not so heavy workload.
What's great about it: pretty quick, wireless, small
What's not so great: definetly not for hardcore gaming or excessive programs

I had fears that this PC would not meet my needs, As a package deal it came with the PC, 23in Monitor and printer. I am so pleased with the performance and the ease to set up that I decided to write a review. This PC exceeded my expectations. It is fast, all directions were complete and not once did I have to call for support. Within an hour I had all components set up and my wireless network up and printing. I upgraded to the HP C6380 printer and must tell you it is fantastic. Color pictures that are photo quality.I would recomend this PC to anyone looking for a PC that is high quality and fits anywhere. The slimline is excellent.
What's great about it: Everything, Easy to set up, Excellent price.

I bought a Slimline in March 2008, had immediate problems with picture freeze and then crashing. Called support, totally frustrating experience. Ran every utility imaginable to try and fix, the problem occurred off and on for four months. Then got worse, sent for repair three times, insisted on an in home service once and they finally replaced in February of this year. Less than 10 days later the new Slimline starts shutting down randomly. I spent a total of 12 hours on the phone with support in India. Ended up sending in for repair got back two weeks later. They replaced the power supply but it now on occasion shuts down. I got the phone number for HP Executive Customer service and they have offered a refund if I can get them my original receipt. Looking for it, have requested copy from credit card company and will never buy a HP product again.
What's great about it: Size
What's not so great: Has been replaced twice!
