What's great about it: Great price, excellent sound
What's not so great: Main body unit very large, system very heavy
I love this great stereo system. I upgraded from an older model to this awesome system.
I love everything about this wonderful stereo system. It has:
a) Great sound quality.
b) Excellent bass (one of the main reasons I decided to buy this system).
c) Super sale price.
d) I can play my MP3 Player with this system by using an auxilary to headphone cable.
e) My boyfriend can play his iPod with this stereo's iPod dock.
f) The whole system looks great after it's set up.
except:
a) All the system's pieces (2 speakers, the main body, remote contol, manual and other important papers, etc.) came in a very large and heavy box (the packing and the stereo system weighed 90 pounds!).
b) The main body is so large that I had to put it on top of my dresser rather than on my desk (my original placement idea).
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this for christmas after looking at shelf systems and reading tons of reviews.. Let me just say it was more than I expected and is the best thing ever. The sound has great clarity and amazing bass.. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!!! It is pricey but well worth it. I am in love

What's not so great: You Cannot see which song is playing and who's the singer(THERE IS NO RDS AT ALL)
The only thing which is the biggest for me is that doesn't have RDS,and there is not to much to impress.....but comparing to price still it's good....

What's great about it: Easy set up, great product, great price
I live in a small trailer and wanted something small with big sound. This is a fantastic unit. I love the way it looks and it has that old sound of a component stereo system, but all tuck into one unit. this is my first Sony stereo and so far I am very happy with the product and the price I paid. The service was the best ever. I was there 3 minutes and had 2 service tech's helping me. I was helped throughout the entire process, including loading it into the car.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Sound quality and 5 cd capability with shuffle
What's not so great: A little big to be considered a bookshelf system
Was easy to set up and had great sound quality. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a 5 disc cd player with shuffle capability. It was a little bigger than I hoped, but was able to fit it in nicely with little effort.

What's great about it: Great sound, I love it
What's not so great: NOTHING
I love these speakers. They make me so happy. The bass and the overall quality of the speakers is great. It has so many effects and options that one can use, it's ridiculous. Surround, mp3 enhancer, rock, pop, salsa, dance, etc. presets make the Sony LBT-ZX66I so much fun to use and listen to. I have made iTunes playlists with sexy songs, and bass-heavy songs that are just right for the different EQs that I use. It's a lot of fun, and very enjoyable for parties and social occasions. LOVE IT!

What's great about it: BASS!!!
These are some amazing speakers. I am in college and I bought these. First day I had them I had four noise complaints against me, two of which came from different floors. I love these speakers, totally worth the money. People I know are very jealous of them. Also when the volume is low the bass is still heavy enough to shake the walls.

this has great sound for rap with the bass, it has great clarity and is so simple to use, with all of the things it comes with built in you wont need to spend a penny more on a radio or any thing to project sound from an ipod or tv for another 10 years!!!the only bad thing about this is the size it could be a little smaller but the price is defiantly worth it.

Purchased this sony as a replacement for a 15yr. old sony shelf system.Very pleased with it and it def. rocks+I enjoy having my 5 disc again.Wired speakers in with 4 other towers and i haven't made it past 12 on volume dial. :) Sony is best when it comes to stereos and this one should last me hopefully another 10 yrs.Only gripe i can make is they don't add enough ports on back to hook-up more components.I would def. recommend and it was worth every penny..Keep it up SONY !!!

What's great about it: great deep bass
I was looking for a good stereo for creating a disco in my garage. This system was it. Plays my ipod with great sound, and great bass. Likely not for the audiophile looking for a clear crisp sound, but for dancing and rocking the house, Really great!! Also, am going to set up Rock band in my garage, with the great feature of the video/gaming input/outputs. Just add lights for a great dance party!

From the look of the stereo it looks powerful, for the quality, spineless. i have a past model of this, but just the speakers. i have hooked it up with the 2003 sony mhc-gx45 and now it really sounds and feels powerful. To much money to pay for a stereo that needs improvements!

What's great about it: awesome bass and highs and can sroduce kick butt surround sound and works with my apple iPhone and my Toshiba Lapto
What's not so great: hard to learn to change buttons ( ive had it for abt 2 years and cant change the time)
awesome and cracked my wondows it was so loud and shook the walls! awesome deal for the measly 400 dollars- i mean like its the best stereo ive ever owned and probably ever will :)

This things got more bass than you even need. Thats why I love it! Its so big, I forgot how big it was in best buy, cuz bestbuys huge, and I brought it home and it exploded onto a wall in my room. I love the size tho. The sound quality is superior, its soooo easy to set up. I am electronically challenged, and I set it up myself! And there are no confusing buttons. This is totally worth it, if you can afford it, its worth the big $$ and then some.
I just cannot get over the bass! <3 This little beast will be your best friend!

What's great about it: The sound system marries itself to the unique club systems that exist today but on a smaller scale.
What's not so great: Wish it could have been designed with a third woolfer speaker for appearence.
I think Sony has finally nailed it with this system design. Its a beautiful thing with excellent sound quality, the view of it when the lights are off or dim, the ease of operation? Very good.

What's not so great: It is BIG. Not easy to fit it into the room decor.
I have been debating getting a new receiver, equalizer, etc. to hook up to my large, old style speakers. However, when I turned on this system in the store, my search was over. I play "big music," and this system certainly rises to the occasion! Easy to set up and easy to use. Wish it was a little smaller so that I could take it with me into my studio when I'm painting and creating.
