What's great about it: ipod, and cd player....good sound quality for price
What's not so great: hmmm. can't think of anything at the moment
i got this in my living room, and i love the sound quality. (although i do wish there were more eq settings) i really like the fact that it comes with a remote control too. this thing is great for the price.

I bought this because of looks and usually sony does a good job of making a quality product. The sound was ok but that is to be expected from a $100.00 docking station. What was bad was it would just shut off for no reason. I would turn it on and it would work for 20 minutes and then shut off. I ended up taking it back and getting a logitech

What's not so great: short speaker wires.
Enjoyable to use. Much more intuitive that the other one we had in the same room.
The old one was difficult to use and therefore did not get used often enough for me to remember all the idiosyncrasies of it.

What's great about it: Lots of features and separate speakers from unit
What's not so great: Had a little trouble getting ipod to work on it. make sure yours is compatible.
I needed an ipod dock with separate speakers so i could run then outside, this worked perfectly! Much better than having to buy a receiver to do it. I can use the radio, cd or ipod. Its great!

I bought this device as I was looking for a simple little radio that I could connect my iPod/iPhone to and listen to Pandora at home. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality for being such a small system. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. Thinking of getting another on for my office at work.

I work for a radio program creating CD's of radio programs and needed a nice little shelf system that I could easily use to check the sound and quality of the CD's. It was a choice between the Panasonic shelf unit and this one. Furthermore, my experience over the past few years with Sony has been somewhat poor, therefore, I was reluctant to buy this little system but the reviews and price dictated my choice this time. Plus, I wanted to give Sony another chance in light of the excellent reviews. I am so GLAD I purchased this unit. This small stereo system has been absolutely fantastic. It is EASY to use; sound is superb and I cannot think of anything bad about it. I rarely use the function buttons on the unit itself and instead use the remote that is very easy to operate. For the price and quality you can't go wrong. It is nicely compact, takes up little room and the sound has quality with a lot of power. I am thinking of getting a second one for the other room.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it! He can't sleep without listening to something and I got tired of listening to the same thing over and over now we can upload whatever on our Ipod or listen to the cds he already has. Sound quality is good and its easy to use! So glad I bought it!

My 13-year old requested a stereo with an IPod dock for her room. This was her top choice among the stereos she found on the Best Buy website. I figured we couldn't go wrong since it was a Sony. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quailty, because I didn't have high expectations for a unit at that price point. However, it was an excellent value and included all the features she wanted. I'm considering buying one to replace the Sony boombox in our kitchen.

What's not so great: Docking an iTouch it is hard to access the bottom button
It's not spectacular, the sound is anywhere from flat to too bass-y with no happy medium, but my kids don't listen to good music anyway. It fits the bill and includes a CD player.
It does not come with a doc adapter (but neither does the iTouch 4th gen) and the ones I found online only come in white and clash with the black music player.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a great little stereo for the price. We got it on sale, but still very much worth it. My kids plug in their IPods, we can listen to the radio or cd. Great sound from the speakers - the cords are short so you have to keep them close to the stereo. The antenna is strange because it is a wire that attaches to a plastic piece, but does the trick. We haven't used the remote control yet. I would definitely buy this again.
