Green River Ordinance’s “Out of My Hands” CD Review
If you love music that makes you move or that moves you, Green River Ordinance is the band for you. These phenomenal five released their major-label debut, “Out of My Hands,” on February 24, 2009 and these boys from Ft. Worth, Texas have found their sound overtaking iPods and car radios all over the country.
A year and a half of hard work ended in energetic guitar riffs, outstanding drum beats, and moving and relatable lyrics. The gentlemen responsible for such noise include lead vocalist and acoustic guitarist, Josh Jenkins, electric guitarists, Jamey Ice and Joshua Wilkerson, bassist, Geoff Ice, and drummer, Denton Hunker. “Outside” starts the album off strong with fun and upbeat guitars and a fast beat to get you dancing. Soon enough, you are singing along with the chorus of “Outside, outside looking inside/ In time you will find/ everything’s easier on the other side,” while throwing your hands up in the air and dancing along (while the people in the next car look on curiously). The excitement and energy continues through the new single, “Come On” and into the title track, “Out of My Hands.” Things slow down a little with Jenkins on piano as “On Your Own” begins with its emotional lyrics. The slow sound continues through the beginning of “Goodbye LA”, but picks up at the chorus and you are crooning along to the lyrics once again. The excitement continues through tracks such as “Different (Anything At All)” and “Sleep It Off.” The tracks “Last October” and “Getting Older” will stay with you long after your iPod’s battery has run out. This album is not just all about hip gyration, however. “Learning” is sure to grab all romantics with the offer of being “the one you run to/ for the rest of your life.” “Endlessly” finishes the album as the perfect modern love song. There is only one negative aspect to this album: that it ends all too soon. The Ft Worth five will leave you thirsting for more.
In all, this album will have you hooked from the start and will refuse to let go. Be prepared for your music player to be on repeat for a while.

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Nothing
February 24th, 2009 marks the date of a very important birth. The birth of Green River Ordinance's new album "Out
of My Hands". Many of you may ask, who is this band? Why should I care? Well friends...let me say this. This band is
astoundingly good. Maybe not la creme de la creme as so many people have suggested before me but they pack
enough punch for all of us to get blown away. The group's "baby" as they like to call it, debuted at #4 on the
Alternative charts on iTunes. Well deserved boys, well deserved. GRO consists of 5 guys with mucho talent. Josh
Jenkins: Lead singer/Acoustic Guitar, Joshua Wilkerson: Backup vocals/Electric Guitar, Geoff Ice: Backup vocals/Bass,
Jamey Ice: Electric guitar, & Denton Hunker: Drums. This album is a great disc to put on if you want to get up and
shake ur bon bon. Trust me, I've done it...several times. Its packed with high energy tunes (Sleep It Off & Outside) but
also has a nice mellow side for those of us lovesick puppies out there (Endlessly). Their harmonies are tight,
musicianship in sync. Green River Ordinance is on the right track and keep me begging for more. Their album "Out of
My Hands" is available everywhere right now so either download it on iTunes (7.99) or hit up one of your local
media stores. Do yourself a favor and check this album and band out. They shall not disappoint.

Green River Ordinance is an amazing band and this is an amazing album. Come On is insanely catchy and definitely one of my favorite songs on the album. Everyone should buy this album. You will not regret it. I have been listening to it non-stop since it was released and I am still not tired of it.

What's great about it: catchy, non-overproduced, back to basics
What's not so great: leaves you wanting more haha
I bought this album after stumbling across them on MySpace. I was instantly hooked and that almost never happens.
Green River's sound is exactly what I want a band to sound like. It makes me want to get up and rock out at their concert. Whether you're driving around sunny CA or freezing on the east, it makes for great roadtrip music. It either complements your happy status or turns your day around to a good one. Check it our for youself!
Everyone and their mom should get this CD.

What's great about it: Catchy melodies and meaningful lyrics will appeal to a wide range of music tastes!
Green River Ordinance does a wonderful job capturing life experiences with music and lyrics! The songs tend to get stuck in my head all day, but that's not a bad thing. Plus, the songs are clean for younger ears to listen to.

What's great about it: Solid lyrics...great songs!
What's not so great: Not one thing is bad about this album
The cd is solid from start to finish. If you are a fan of Third Eye Blind or the Goo Goo Dolls, this is a must have. Some of the highlight songs are "Outside" "Goodbye LA" and "Getting Older." The song "Come On" is going to be the cd's single so be on the lookout on the radio. AMAZING cd!!! Bottom line
