Needed The ability to convert a wired device to wireless and this worked great. It had good strength to pull in the wireless signal when other devices could not, which is the reason I bought it.
The device was easy to set up, though I would be and advanced user. Very happy and would buy it again...what better can you say than that.....
This product has... Secure connection

This ethernet bridge gives me all the bandwidth my cable delivers and it's lightning fast within my home network. The only downside was setting up the device; numerous attempts were required in order to get the bridge on my network. Once it was, connecting my DVR to the network using the bridge was a breeze. While the other bridge I have from a competitor was easier to set up, this one is delivering a much better return on available broadband...it was worth the extra effort.
What's great about it: Lightning fast speed
What's not so great: Novices may have trouble getting device set up

I work for Cisco and my views on this product are based entirely on my personal experiences.
I'm really happy with this product. I have a total of three of them spread throughout the house. My router is upstairs and I have two on the second level and one on the first floor. I have been able to stream Netflix, Apple TV and transfer my videos between TiVo boxes with very little wait time.
What's great about it: Easy set up.
What's not so great: Nothing that I am aware of at this point.

I was a little worried about buying this product after reading some of the reviews but decided to try it since I wanted to be able to stream Netflix to my Bluray disk player in my game room. When I got home, I popped the setup disk into my PC, followed the directions, and was up and running in about 2 minutes. As a matter of fact, configuring my Sony Bluray player for Netflix was more complicated and took more time. The bridge works great. I've already streamed more than a dozen movies. On 2 occassions, shortly after the movie started, it paused itself to stream more content. I think that was more of an issue with my wireless router, but all I did was once the movie started playing again, I paused the movie for a minute to stream more content into memory, and then it ran fine. Overall, I'm very happy about all aspects of this product.
What's great about it: Very easy setup; works great
What's not so great: Nothing

If you do a search online for this product, you will find that many people have had problems with it. In fact, I had problems with the setup. Then the support from Cisco is worse. Run from this product, it does not work as advertised. There are better Wireless Bridge products available, Netgear's Wn2000 is a great product and the one I used for my resolution, was easy to setup and install and above all, IT WORKS!!!!!!
What's great about it: You get to add grey hair quickly when setting it up!
What's not so great: Does not work, Cisco support is lacking, product should be pulled.

I replaced all of my wireless devices 2 months ago with Dual Band Cisco Linksys equipment, and the consistant speeds from the upstairs corner of my house to the living room downstairs have been well over 100Mbps on the 2.4 or 5 Ghz channels. I note that speed becuase it is the speed of the network plug that comes out of the bridge. I stream high definition video through the wireless with a media center extender flawlessly, as well as browse the internet on a pc attached to it at the same time. The price is worth it is you have multiple devices you want to connect to your network. I have configured the device about 10 times to test it, and only once did it cause me to default it and reconfigure from scratch.
What's great about it: Speed, very easy configuration for a novice user
What's not so great: Not auto negotiating for dual band, not gigabit network on device

To make a VERY long story short, after trying 2 of these paperweights and spending 10 hours in chats and on the phone with tech support (including level 2 support) they still could get the WET610N to connect to my brand new E4200 router. All of my other devices connect to the router just fine (3 laptops, 2 iPhones, 1 iPad, 1 iPod and a printer). Bought a Netgear Powerline AV 200 Ultra Adapter Kit instead and it was up and working flawlessly in 3 minutes.
What's great about it: Nothing!
What's not so great: Horrible interface, slow interface, could not connect to Linksys router, doesn't work

This thing performs like a champ! my router is a Netgear wndr3700 works perfectly fine with it, and the router is over 25 feet away from it, the signal strength is always above 30 per cent.
I can stream movies from Netflix without no problems at all, yesterday I streamed a 2 hour 1080p movie from another computer on my home network without a single problem.
The Cisco Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N Ethernet Bridge looks great in any environment and consumes very little electricity, I would recommend it to anyone!
What's great about it: Design, Range, Performance
What's not so great: I wish it had a way to turn it off when not in use, but you can just unplug it from the power outlet, so no biggie.

I tried several different products to connect my slingbox to my wireless network. All of them failed miserably. This product was excellent out of the box. Set up was as documented. Flawless. This product doubled the speed from my "g" era wireless bridge device. The only thing I had to do after setup was to re-boot the entire system to clear any residue from the setup process.
What's great about it: It works were similar other products failed.
What's not so great: Include in the documentation a total re-boot step.

After 4 months and at least 30 phone calls to Qwest and DirecTV, I am finally able to connect my HD-DVR wirelessly - thanks to Linksys, that is. I did have trouble with installation but with online assistance from Linksys I was able to get this done - tracked the problems to the router/modem provided by Qwest and I am not tech savvy, so really needed the tech support. I am extremely happy with Cisco Linksys product and support.
What's great about it: It works!
What's not so great: Depending upon what you are trying to do, can be difficult to set up - but tech support is very good.

If you plan on connecting this device to a Windows 7 PC and using homegroups, you don't want this bridge. Do a search on this model and homegroups for more info... Other than that not so minor detail, it's a adaquate bridge. No issues until I tried to setup a homegroup, hopefully this will save you the hours I spent figuring this out.
What's not so great: Doesn't support Homegroups

I purchased two of these units to attach to my DirecTV receiver as well as my Samsung Blu-ray home theater system. From start to finish I probably spent around 10 minutes taking care of the installation and configuration. This is a super unit for connecting your devices to the Internet via a wireless bridge. I highly recommend the devices.

As everybody knows, PS3 does not have wireless-N connection, and after investing a few times in a "better N" router for better connection to my console (which is on a first floor and my WRT610N router on the second). I decided to invest on this bridge! duh!
Problems solved, works like a charm, I was a little hesitating after reading a couple of reviews and some people talk about connection drop. But I've being using this baby for one day and I get faster downloads, solid online gaming, and the best of all I can now stream 1080P movies from my PC that is right next to my router, that before were impossible to watch (laaaaaggg!).
Overall very happy, the price a little steep I'm sure you can do your research on popular sites before buying ;)
Peace out!
What's great about it: N connection for those devices that lack it
What's not so great: Price is not great...

I didn't know anything about this system and was still a little worried about the out come of it, But It did just what I wanted it to do. It took about 15 Minutes to program it to my Modem, The hardest part was programing my TV that took about 20 minutes.
I used the with a G broadband modem, It worked just fine not like another reviewer said that he had to upgrade his modem to a N series, It is reverse compatable

We just bought our Sharp Aquos LED tv two weeks ago and i've been wanting to hook it up to the internet. We have qwest for our isp and we have the q1000 wireless modem/router. Been searching here and there, and finally a staff from best buy suggested this product. I am soo glad i bought it!!!
Set up is soo easy. Just pop in the cd, and do exactly as it say. It will walk u through the whole process and didnt even shed any sweat! (lol) I did encounter what i thought would be a problem for me at the very end of the set up. This is when the device is already hooked up to the tv. It said, connect the device to wherever u want to,plug it in, and wait till the light flashes. I clicked next. At this time, the device was not able to detect my network (although it has been configured already). It instructed me then to eject the disc and reload it. While i was doing it, the device just connected to my network, and yes! It's working already!!! now me and my family is enjoying our internet connected tv through this Cisco bridge, and is watching at netflix!!!
my advice is if the same thing would happen to u, just pop out your cd, and let the device do its thing. once it's configurated, it's already hooked in your network anyway. there's no need to re-run the cd installation.
What's great about it: set-up within 10 mins!
What's not so great: overpriced

I run 802.11n and 802.11g in my house. I have a DIR-655 hooked up to the cable modem, then an ethernet wire to an Apple Airport Extreme being used as an access point, and an Airport Express used as a bridge. The bedroom in the far corner of the house had all 802.11g devices (laptop, TiVo, printer) that I wanted to be using the 5GHz 802.11n network.
The install disc that it comes with, for me, was useless. It couldn't find it on the network, and suggested rebooting, blah blah blah. What worked was plugging the ethernet cable from the bridge to the router, then logging into the router to find out what IP address was given to the bridge.
From there, I went to that IP address in a browser (default l/p: admin/admin) and configured away. Clicked save. Unplugged and moved to permanent location. Plugged in and powered up. worked great.
I went to speedtest.net from the laptop when connected to the network via 802.11g and the download speed was right around 6Mbps. The laptop showed 4/5 bars for signal strength.
Once connected via an ethernet cable to the 802.11n bridge, I went to speedtest.net again and the download speed was a sustained 14Mbps.
I'd call that a win.
What's great about it: connection speed, set-and-forget
What's not so great: price, only one ethernet port, install CD
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this device to save the hassle of running CAT-5 from the basement to a second-floor bedroom to bring my home network to an XBox 360 and a DirecTV HD Receiver through a 5-port workgroup switch.
Mac-based setup was a headache. 10 attempts and loads of reboots and wasted time did nothing to relieve the pain. Booting my Mac into Windows (via Bootcamp) and trying Windows setup proved that Cisco/Linksys needs to work on their Mac programming a bit.
Setup issues aside, my only real complaint is that this device wouldn't let me use "strong" passwords with non-alphanumeric characters. Aside from that, it does what it says.
I think it's overpriced for the function it provides, but it beats the snot out of fishing CAT-5 through floors, walls, and a ceiling.
DirecTV Whole-Home DVR works great using this WET610N and costs only $3 per month. (It's an unsupported configuration that I had to talk DirecTV into letting me try in leiu of their $150 setup - $99 service call to install $50 worth of equipment - that would have left my XBox out in the cold.)
What's great about it: Wireless N speeds, WPA/WPA2, Windows setup is a breeze, works with a switch to connect more than one device
What's not so great: $99 is a little steep for what it does; Mac-based setup was nothing but a headache!
I would recommend this to a friend!
