What's great about it: Simple to set up. Wired connection extremely easy. Wireless with encryption a little more tricky using the remote.
What's not so great: Wireless with encryption a little more tricky, WILL NOT CONNECT TO HIDDEN SSID
Worked fine when wired. Unable to connect to wireless networks with hidden SSID's. Very unfortunate. Had to return it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Easy to set up. Great remote control functionality. Lots of genre choices.
What's not so great: A bit quirky.
I enjoy the option of Internet or FM, local or international, music or talk or scanner. This unit also allows MP3 play through the unit via USB. Great fun at a fraction of the cost of some. Fun design. It is a novelty to a great extent. The screen light can be shut off for listening in the dark or just another look. However, after my grandson left it on all night during a recent stay the unit shut itself off. No reason that I could see. Seems a bit quirky. Might have been a fluke.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to get started out of the box
What's not so great: Control Locations on top would be better in the front
This radio works nice. Pretty easy to figure out and get going with very little reading required. Would be nice if it had talk radio. Other than that I would recommend it. Sound is about what you would expect, actually sounds pretty good.

What's not so great: It is hard to get to the right button, and can not hear the music very clear, FM is very poor
I find it very hard to find the buttons needed to be pushed, way up on top from bed?? Very hard. FM gets one station, sound qaulity is very poor, need to have it very high volume, low might as well shut it off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: I can get so many stations! Since I love classical music it has expanded my stations from two locally to over 100!
What's not so great: There are so many steps to getting to a station just to listen. Cannot wait to progrm in stations and push a button.
It was fairly straight forward to hook up, and I love the clarity of the reception. The only hang-up that I've experienced is that to simply listen to some music I have to go through at least three layers of info to get to a station.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Unbelievable sound qualty compared to the AM radio stations i wanted to hear.
What's not so great: none that i can think of
I bought this as a gift for my wife because she has a favorite AM station that loses signal before unrise and after sunset. It was so easy to set-up-- i didn't even have to check the manual. I love the categories and the easy to navigate menu structure. The sound quality is so much better than an AM broadcast. It sounds like i am sitting in the control room of the radio station.
We found a 24-hr Rudolph channel out of the Netherlands! Before you buy, check out their webite to ensure the station you want is on the list.

What's not so great: Would not ever connect wirelessly
I ordered this internet radio with great anticipation hoping that I would be one of the lucky ones that would have success integrating this radio with my home network, I was not so lucky. It took almost a week of trying and emailing Aluratek® and downloading a firmware update that was not, at that time, available on the web site to be able to get it to work as a wired client. It took that amount of time to get the Aluratek® “engineers” to add the radios MAC address to their database so that VTuner® would work.
While I was very impressed with the radio once I was able to get it working as a wired client, I had purchased it to be able to take advantage of its’ wireless connectivity. I was able to get it to take a static IP and I was able to ping it in a wireless configuration but it never would connect to the VTuner® server while in the wireless mode.
If you do not mind connecting via a network cable then this is the system for you, if it must connect through a wireless network you can take your chance like I did and see if you can be one of the “lucky” ones.
The wake up alarm sound will wake you up, it is indeed SCARY sounding and you will be ready to get up after you hear it! It is as if the Abominable Dr. Phibes was playing the alarm sound.

What's great about it: Internet radio without a computer is great
What's not so great: Does not work with older wireless modems
Overall I am very pleased with the radio. Sound quality is very good for its size. However, setup was extremely frustrating using a 2Wire HomePortal 1000HW wireless modem (about 5 years old). I finally conceded to several online recommendations to use a newer model wireless modem. I bought an Actiontec GT724-WG. Radio setup with the new wireless modem was a breeze.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to set up, good price, does the basic job, works well on wired ethernet
What's not so great: Display can't be dimmed
Good price for a basic radio, quick delivery. The radio was very easy to set up and operation can be done by a non-techie (my wife). Web site to build favorites packages was easy to access, although they didn't have all the stations my wife wanted and some stations go off the air at times.
Would be perfect if the light panel could be dimmed and if there's a simple indicator to tell if a station is off the air.
Not using USB interface, but it seems to work well.
The first internet using product my wife actually says works well and is not techie oriented!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: The clock is automatacily set from the internet, so I never have to worry about losing power.
What's not so great: If fails to work as a basic alarm clock.
If you want a reliable alarm clock, pass this one by. When it works, the time is right on and the alarm works great. Twice now, the alarm failed to go off in the morning.
The buttons are hard to find in the dark.
The backlighting is too bright for normal sleeping.
I had the alarm use an internet radio for wakeup music, but at that time, the station was down, so the alarm just turning on the lamp and sat silent. There should have been a backup station available.

Since the device is on the home network, it would be fantastic if I could use my laptop computer to set all the options. Using the remote is painful.
It does a poor job as an alarm clock. It is an average music player. Nothing much to see here, move along.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Nice sound. easy setup and use

I love this radio. My only complaint would be that the display is so bright it lights up the whole room, and there is no way to dim it other than shut the light off completely.
Other than that this radio is great. Sound is great, easy to use. Even updates the stations if their url changes, which my station did.. And you can even add stations online to your radio...
I would recommend this to a friend!

My Wife gave me this radio as a birthday present so i can listen to the BBC and my old local radio stations from the UK. It works great and im thinking of buying another one for upstairs.

This product has changed my life. I can't stop playing with it! I'm a pretty big fan of radio and enjoy talk and news radio but was always limited from a selection standpoint until now! I have been playing with this radio for months and still haven't scratched the surface on exploring new stations that I enjoy. I have over 100 stored in my favorites already!
I also like the fact that I never have to set the time again or the alarm time. How cool is that! No more flashing 12:00 if your power goes out. This thing sets the time automatically and remembers what time you had the alarm set for! How I do not konw but it is really cool.
A++ for the next generation clock radio!

What's great about it: Great music - free for life - thousands of stations - perfect in-home entertainment
What's not so great: Nothing yet
We purchased this product because of the internet radio feature. It was fun to search all the stations all over the world to listen to great music. It was very easy to set up. We took it out of the box, turn it on and was able to connect it to our router just with the push of a few buttoms on the remote.
Music came out clear and crisp, the interface is very user friendly. No complaints...
I would recommend this to a friend!
