What's great about it: Fantastic sound
This gives you Bose sound and quality for your iPod without the fuss of stereo cables. Plug it in and put your iPod in the dock and you are done. The sound is incredible and fills whatever space you have. So glad I bought this.

What's great about it: Easy to move, select tunes and full range audio.
What's not so great: Nothing, turned out to be my wife's favorite Christmas present.
Very attractive and easy to use, even my wife has no problem. Sound is excellent and provides wonderful music throughout our living room and kitchen. It’s portable, if portable is unplugging and walking down to the man cave for the weekly poker game.

What's great about it: volume control, quality, usability, sound

I originally bought this for my apartment because my stereo was too loud. When I got it, it filled my apartment with better sound and used much less energy than my $1,600 stereo (1800 watts). Not to mention its easier on the ears. The quality is unmatched. I now live back at home and it gets used daily as an alarm clock and to just keep the whole house filled with music. I can hear it across the house, and when I walk in front of it, the music isn't so loud that I have to turn it down. It just does an amazing job. Although the remote can use some fine tuning (doesn't work well for going through playlists#, but still does the basics #sound volume, forward, back, pause and power). I purchased mine on sale and have had no problems. It even got caught in the rain and still made it out just fine. I wouldn't let my iPod Dock go for anything. I'll probably sell my big stereo soon and purchase a small car with the cash.
Best Uses: When I travel, Gym / Working Out, At work, At home, just relaxing with quiet music, casual parties, working outside

Bose does is again with this great device. Sound quality is amazing, although wish there where different audio settings available and a built in radio tuner. Price is high, but worth it for this great Bose product.

I had never bought a Bose product before and decided that it was about time I did, to replace my old outdated stereo system that I use in the living room. But, I am not impressed at all. I think that it is cheaply made – the plastic part that holds the ipod could break in an instant. As for the sound quality, I expected a MUCH better product from Bose. I am rather disappointed that I spent so much money for something that is just okay. My expectations were set really high for this product, which is why I am so disappointed. I probably will never buy another Bose product again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the quality of sound. And the best thing is that is not only quality, the volume range is pretty high too, which makes it a 10.
I love Bose systems, and this device won't let you down.
In the specs says that is perfect for a room, to be honest I would say that is perfect for a HOUSE.
I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, do not hesitate. Trust me.

What's great about it: Very simple to set up and use, great sound
What's not so great: Price is steep, considering there's no radio or alarm.
I have to admit, I used to be a huge music nut. Had the 90's huge stereo with the box speakers, 6 CD changer, etc. Haven't invested in much but an iPod since, and have long ditched the 90's stereo setup in favor of just switching on satellite music over Dish Network. Decided it was time to actually listen to my downloaded tunes and ordered this Bose SoundDock and literally haven't shut it off since I unpacked it from the box 3 minutes after the UPS delivery truck left my driveway. The sound is amazing coming from this little box! Granted, you can't sit surrounded by sound like you can from a whole room setup, but this thing kicks butt! Easy to use right out of the box, since I have an iPod. Price is steep for something that's only a speaker system, and having FM radio also would have really been great and would have better justified the price. Even my kids love it, and use the remote to flip through the shuffle to their favorite tunes!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The sound quality is addicting. I have Bose sound system in my car and in 2 rooms in my house. Nothing else compares with the sound.

What's great about it: Easy set up sounds great, its pretty loud for such a small box
What's not so great: it cost too much you are really paying for the name brand i have another brand dock for ipod and it works just as good.
sounds great so much sound comes out of a small box, however its a little pricey great for the house or a bedroom. i have a 2 year old son and he loves listening to his kids sounds on it. he sees the picture on the i pod and sits right in front of the dock to listen to the songs, keeps him out of trouble for a few minuets! lol

My wife wanted a speaker for her iPod so she could listen to her tunes without using ear buds. The Bose Sound Dock produces a rich robust sound that can easily be heard anywhere in our home and the sound quality is not lost with increased volume. Set was super easy, even for a non-techie like myself. It's on the high end of the price scale but I trusted the Bose name.
The remote is okay but we often have to be within a short distance of the speaker to make it work. (maybe 10 feet) Other than that we crank it up and enjoy the sounds.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Very easy to set up and get rolling.
What's not so great: Price is a little more extreme than other options available, but with purpose!
I was going to Best Buy in an attempt to find a perfect kitchen stereo that I can plug one of my Ipods into. . . I demo'd everything as best as I could, and by far the quality of this little device delivered. It has a very modern/sleek design that accomodated the kitchen, while filling the whole apartment with perfect sound waves!
Too bad I live in an apartment, this thing can give A LOT of punch that can wake up the neighbors around the block......At least they will be able to hear quality :)
While I do give this product a 5 out of 5, I will have to say that this is engineered for one purpose. Would-be-buyers may want something with a little more options (bluetooth, front display), but product perfectionists will be astounded by the quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: It doesn't charge your iPod Touch, I did everything to try and make it, and it wouldn't.
Great product, I have had mine for over 2 years and I haven't had a problem with it. The sound is really good and really worth the price Bose charges. Bose stands behind its products. Really worth it.

What's great about it: The color, sleekness, and most of all sounds great! It's thin and not bulky like other docking stations.
What's not so great: nothing to report.
We tested every docking station in the store and this bose docking station was the best one by far. Looks and sounds great! We didn't plan on spending that much on a DS but like they always say, you get what you pay for.
I would recommend this to a friend!
