What's great about it: Lightweight, easy set up, vivid clear picture
What's not so great: Gets warm after 1/2 hour of viewing. Speakers are small, sound is so so...
"Got the set after going to Best Buy and viewing the different models on display, and although Samsung and Panasonic were equally nice to look at I bought the Sony because of it's dependability. I owned a 27 inch Sony CRT for 30 years and it won't break so I gave it away instead so I can buy a flat screen. I don't regret getting this one, set up was easy and connections to the cable box was elementary. Don't forget to exchange your cablevision box so you can get the HD signal, it's free so don't hesitate. So far it's been good."

What's great about it: Picture is, sound quality is good for a LCD, and very easy to set up
What's not so great: Nothing
"I did a lot of research before I bought this TV and finally bought it at Best Buy on sale 599. I am very impressed with the picture quality and easy set up. Easy set up as well. There have been some complaints about the sound quality, but for an LCD i found it to be of really good quality."

Pretty good

What's great about it: Nice picture and lots of ports.
What's not so great: Bass is not too good and the picture...i wish i had LED, its better. but its still clearer than my old 42'Philips.
"This LCD is pretty darn good for it's price. Picture quality is crystal clear for a LCD. But only drawback that I have is the sound quality. That's why I'm gonna get a bar speaker that goes underneath it. If your looking for a top quality tv, this is up there but only if the price is no more than $600."

Great TV, Great Deal

What's great about it: Great picture, Great sound, doesn't give off too much heat, and has great features
What's not so great: -
"This TV is great and definitely worth more than $600. My old TV (a 20 in LCD) gave off more heat.
I have a fairly small room so the sound fills the whole room, amazing picture quality, and it has great features like enabling game mode for a specific input, or cinema for another.
A must buy!!"

What's great about it: great picture, plenty of features
What's not so great: poor volume quality
"Overall the tv is great. Looks good in home. Excellent picture quality & loaded with features. Negative; volume control . Seems I have to press volume up to 1/4 its capability to even to hear it at lower levels. Too slow volume increase levels."

What's great about it: Great Picture
What's not so great: Nothing
"Bought this TV to replace one that was stolen and WOW, what a picture. The colors, the sound, and the wonderful 120hz motionflow are awesome. DirectTV HD looks brilliant, and sports look amazing. This TV will eventually be a master bedroom TV, but for the time being its a great family room TV replacing a 42'."

What's great about it: excellent HD picture and SD picture
What's not so great: sound is weak
"Very good TV for the price $599. It has an excellent high deff picture. Off angle viewing is good too. The sound is very weak even with the forward facing speakers. I have other Sonys in the house and have had good luck with them also the no glare screen sets it apart from other brands.I bought the 40 inch xbr9 for my mother, it's not as good as the 32xbr9 but works for her. The 40xbr9 has better sound but the off angle viewing is bad. Over all its a great Tv if you can get it on sale, and for a bedroom Tv you cant go wrong with the 32xbr9"

What's great about it: The Bravia 32 XBR9 is a great TV for the price.
"It's pretty much top of the line for the 32" range of tv's. It is super easy to set up and the picture quality is amazing with the default settings right out of the box.
DVD's look amazing on it as well, especially with a component cable."

What's great about it: This was a great price and as someone technically challenged it was easy to set up
What's not so great: Occasionally the audio cuts out
"I can almost see the blades of grass on the HD channels the picture is so clear. I went from a small 19" HDTV that I brought with me when I moved to a 32" HDTV. It is just the right size and easy to set up.
Best Buy's convenient pre-order system was wonderful!"

What's great about it: Easy to set up, good picture
What's not so great: Sound when at low level.
"This is a good TV. The picture quality is very good and I have not noticed distortion while watching football games. I had heard there could be bluring while watching fast action but this is not bad. This set is for my bedroom and I found that if the volume is set low the sound quality is bad. Set was very easy to set up."

What's great about it: PICTURE-MOTION BLUR-PRICE-USER FRIENDLY!!!!!
What's not so great: SONY DID NOT BUILD A 240HZ 32" XBR..........HAHAHAHA!!!
"ATTENTION REVIEWERS AND BUYERS. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A PERFECT 32" HDTV FOR ANY RECREATION IF BE WATCHING T.V., PLAYING HI-DEF VIDEO GAMES OR HI-DEF BLU-RAY........... MAN, OH MAN XBR9 YOU HAVE TO EXPERIENCE. ALL MY ITEMS ARE SONY. I'VE SEEN ALL OTHERS COMPETE AND HAVE NO MATCH WITH XBR'S QUALITY. BUYERS TAKE FIRST HAND LOOK AT SAMSUNG, PANASONIC, TOSHIBA AND LG. LG IS THE WORST! I HAVE BUDDIES THAT HAVE THESE HDTV'S AND THEY MADE THE SWITCH! EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE FOLKS. THE CLARITY WITH XBR'S DEEP COLOR PIXEL RATIO'S ARE INTENSE. THE SOUND IS AMAZINGLY CRISP AND CLEAR. OTHER REVIEWS MIND THEM NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT TECH SAVY. PROBLEM WITH THERE 32XBR9'S IS BECAUSE THEY'RE USING LOW GRADE HDMI'S OR USING COMPOSITES, THERE IS BAD FEED TO AND FROM DEVICES. THE HDTV IS NOT THE PROBLEM. IT'S TECH ERROR! SO THE ONES THAT HAVE EXCHANGED THERE 32XBR9'S TO OTHER BRANDS MADE THE BIGGEST MISTAKES. PEOPLE STICK TO SONY!!!!! SONY'S RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT TEAM TAKE PRIDE AND TIME TO PROVIDE THE BEST TECHNOLOGY FOR THE CONSUMERS. COME ON PEOPLE LETS FACE IT........ OTHER COMPANIES TRY TO PRO-CREATE WHAT SONY HAS DEVELOPED AND RELEASED FOR DECADES!!!! HOPE THIS REVIEW HELPS YOU IN YOUR JOURNEY OF HDTV'S!!!! GET YOUR DNA SWITCHED TO HDNA!!!!!"

What's great about it: Amazing picture
What's not so great: Sound is very weak
"I love the TV overall. I own a 42 inch Panasonic plasma that has a great picture but when the motion flow is on and the TV is calibrated the picture is amazing and is really only comparable to other XBR Sony Bravia TV's. Sound is very weak so be prepared to buy a sound bar or surround sound or at least a sub-woofer because you will need it. I was lucky enough to get mine for $599.99 so it was a great value. I would recommend this TV to everyone. The only complaint I have is that they do not explain that the Bravia Sync feature does not work with regular Playstation 3 only with the Playstation 3 slim. I wish Sony would fix that problem. Also someone put a review on here that says this TV can be connected to the internet and that is not true."

What's great about it: Picture, Menu, Ease of Set up
What's not so great: Sound
"We have had this TV for about 1 month. It was between Sony and LG. We decided on the Sony for the fact the mold around the LG appeared warped at the store. Everything is great except the sound quality. I am not a TV guru by any means, but the sound is hallow and dull. Compared to the TV it replaced, not as good in my opinion. It is your choice, I will leave at that."

What's great about it: Superb picture quality, great features, easy to use menu, bravia sync
What's not so great: No complaints from me, just remember to turn of the Adv. contrast enhancer
"This TV is Great. I traded in a smaller insignia 22" LED i bought a week earlier for $300.00 and purchased this beast for $600.00 + the $99.00 4yr protection plan Might i say i made the right decision. This TV is absolutely beautiful. picture is crystal clear, but it makes you notice the flaws on thte 'regular' channels if you don't have an HD box hooked up. the bravia sync with my Sony Blue-ray player is awesome! (one remote for two peices of hardware) Once you figure out how you like the settings this tv is like looking thru a window at whoever is on screen. Turn of the contrast enhancer or the screen fades to black in dark scenes and then has to light back up when the scene gets brighter (annoying) The motionflow setting is really cool and makes a very noticeable difference during fast paced action. The sound is impressive for TV speakers and its really easy to hook it up to a shelf system and get even better. I have my TV in my room hooked up to my Sony Blue-ray and my Sony Stereo and it's like my own personal movie theater. Sony has made another great product! I would recommend this to anyone. Plus it's a great deal if you can get it for around 600 like me, heck 700 is a steal for this TV"
