Time consuming and complicated.

What's great about it: White color does not show dust.
What's not so great: Printer multifunctions = malfunction
"When I bought this printer it was supposed to work with Vista OS. I have spent hours and hours trying to get all of the functions to work with Vista. Maybe it was the Vista OS. Maybe it was the AIO feature. I will never know because I am returning the machine today. I upgraded to Windows 7 and discovered that the entire printer functions that I paid for do not work with this OS. It is basically a big paperweight. Ink cartridges are very expensive. I have better results with my old HP Office jet 6210 AIO which is truly a plug and play printer. Why did I get the new HP? In a word ... Vista. Why do manufacturers make sooooo many printers when they could corner the market by supporting their printers and make them work with a variety of OS? AIO Printers basically all do the same 4 things; print-copy-scan & some fax. They are either wired or not. Most are color these days. Most print photos. I will search the world to find one AIO that will operate with most OS, fully function as advertised and work consistently. I could have built my own printer in the time I have wasted trying to get the dumb thing to work. My advice? Scrutinze what OS works with all of the features in the printer you buy. All compatibility ratings are not equal."

Worst HP Product Ever

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Very loud, high ink comsumption, VERY Slow, frequently locks up, high operating cost
"This is by far the worst HP product I have every owned. I replaced an older 6500 HP all in one which worked fantastic but just wore out. This printer is horrible. Very noisy and extremely slow. Seems to take forever before it finally decides to print. Overall quality of printed documents are good but the high cost of use for its insanely high ink consumption makes this just not worth the cost. Stay away!!"

What's great about it: Fairly simple to setup and link to all my computers.
What's not so great: Can be an ink hog, but the copies are fantastic.
"Replaced new lexmark with this. Quick & easy setup to desktops and laptops. Print quality is great, albeit slow but it's quality vs quantity. We blew through the initial ink supply in notime."

What's great about it: quick setup, crisp photo printing, easy to use

"reading some of the reviews about problems with Windows 7 have been eliminated. Buy one now and the software is on the disc for 7. very quick setup, and just as quick when i setup my wife's Mac. it took me all of 15 minutes to set this up and start using it. if you need an all in one this is it."

What's great about it: Set up is super simple..
What's not so great: I haven't found anything I'm not satisfied with.
"This printer does it all, print/scan/copy/fax. Set up was so easy, anybody can do it. I got it on sale, $100. off regular price. I definitely got money's worth. I couldn't be happier."

What's great about it: Price is low and features are high
What's not so great: Ink sees to disappear quickly, may just be sample cartridge provided with printer
"Dual paper tray for 8.5x11 and photo size paper makes it a snap to print both without having to switch paper. Automatic document feeder makes quick digits of the stacks of documents I had built up. Built in SD card reader makes it a snap to print photos. The software and onboard controls make easy work of printing and scanning."

Great Product HP gets it Right Again

What's great about it: Quality, Ease of Setup, Wireless, Full Function Features
What's not so great: Expensive Cartridges, Initialization Time, Black Photo Tones
"Great printer. Does everything you want and more. Exceptional image quality, but photo blacks and look a little purple in a glare (sunlight). A little odd when you are printing a black and white photo. This is the ONLY reason I gave a 4 for print quality, but this is common with most photo printers. Easy setup with very fast wireless communication. You can plug it in anywhere in the house and go!"

"I purchased the HP Photosmart Printer for my home office. The software CD which was enclosed in the box was outdated and pretty much useless. I was unable to connect my Mac Book wirelessly or scan documents using the Solution Center on my Windows Desktop. After struggling for several hours, I uninstalled the software and re-installed everything from the HP Web site. The Mac Book connected without a problem, however I was still unable to scan documents. A quick call to the HP help center and they had me up and running in no time."

"I purchased an HP all in one 6500 officejet printer. I returned it. I had problems with the scanner. There was something wrong with the preview part of the scanenr. It was horrible...noisy.. I returned it for this one. I am so happy with this printer. Everything is fantastic. The scanner is great, the copier is great, photos are perfect...professional looking. I am sooo happy I got this one. Everything is great. I think it is one of the best I have used. I would definately recommend this printer.
I just purchased this tonight. The Fax was hard for me to set up because I have an answering machine. I had to get help setting it up to work with my verizon DSL modem. I am not good with wiring connections. I am using this with a USB connection....not wireless."

The BEST printer around!

What's great about it: Great print quality, fast print speed, fast easy faxes!
What's not so great: A little large
"So about five months back I purchased the Epson Artison 810 for my home office and after the five hours it took to set it up to my wireless network, high ink cost, low ink print volume and numerous paper jams I had enough of that and went and picked this machine up. I've had it for about two and a half months now and have had zero issues. I primarily use it to print out documents and send/receive faxes. I have print out family pictures and not only do they come out much better then the epson, it was much easier of a process. The HP does double sided printing too, the epson only had manual, which i never used cause you have to flip each page over to do the double sided. The ink is much cheaper with the HP and I've gotten at least three times the amount of prints over the Epson. Overall my experience has been much better with the HP!"

"I bought this for my personal small business and for my church's office. I love the fact that it's wireless so I don't have to physically connect to it with the 3 computers in my home office. The colors for printing pictures are absolutely gorgeous. I used a picture of my grandson for my test print and it was just like he was sitting there. The colors were so vivid. My only gripe is the noise. It sounds like a factory grinder after each print. But I guess I can deal with the noise to get prints this beautiful. I've had it for about a month and no problems yet."

What's great about it: Nice picture printing
What's not so great: Wireless & Bluetooth not Compatable with Vista no scanning or other dervices just basic.
"I would not have bought it had I known I could not use all the functions on Vista. That's what drew me to it the wireless and bluetooth. The price was good but I already had a printer that was just good without those functions. You should note those issues in you adds. No more online purchases of that magnitude with you without talking to a human. Buyer beware!"

HP Model CC35 Printer- Don't waste your time

What's great about it: PRINT QUALITY, Good features but they don't work
What's not so great: Intermittend Jams, very slow,,gets hung up and needs to be powered on and off.
"Junk, don't waste your time. I went through 2 of them in a week and they both had the same hanging problem . If the printer was sitting for a while it would't copy. HP support's solution was to just power it off and on when you needed to use it. I find that unacceptable.
I got the same incompetent help from their account managment people. They told me they would send a rREFURBISHED but tested unit as a replacement for my BRAND NEW one.
I would like to thank Best Buy for your good return policy. Your employees were helpful and experienced. That's why I always shop at Best Buy for my electronics.
HP, I'll never buy your junk again."

What's great about it: Easy Set Up and Use OUTSTANDING PHOTO QUALITY
What's not so great: Paper falls off tray easily, minor photo paper pickup issues
"This was my first All-in-One printer and for the price and what is does for me; I'm not disappointed! This was very easy to set up and sync with my iMac, iPhone and Linksys G Wi-Fi. My iMac is about 60 feet from the printer and there are no delays when using the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi to print. Scanner does a great job in photo reprints, not as good as direct from the printer but sufficient for my needs. Fax is easy to use and prints legible copies. It's very easy to reprint photos from the memory card slots, just select, size it and print; just as good as direct from iMac! Print speed is great for personal use, photo quality is outstanding and overall I'm very satisfied with the product.
Drawbacks: If you don't set the paper catch when printing the sheets will fall to the ground and when printing 5x7 photos the photo tray will not catch the paper unless positioned precisely.
Overall for personal use, this is a great all-in-one and I've had none of the issues that others have had minus the two listed above. Could be a PC issue; my iMac hasn't had any problems at all."

What's not so great: Doesn't print reliably, what you see is not what you get scanning, poor paper handling
"Printer does not stay online reliably with any of our 3 PCs. I am going to throw it away and buy something else. Not worth trying to sort it out.
Very intrusive software, poorly written.
Dumps pages on floor when printing more than one page. How sad is that?
Paper feed not reliable.
Nothing good to say."
