Awesome tv and is way better than a regular tv and is very light to Carry, it's very flat and great to have around, even with light the picture is great, the accessories that come with it are very useful, it compacts with the computer and the Internet on it is great to have to check weather.

This tv is amazing. It is very thin and looks great mounted on the wall. At 120hz I have never experienced tv as crisp and clean as this. This tv is a geat deal at the asking price.
What's great about it: The picture is amazing and worth every penny.
What's not so great: If you wall mount this tv I suggest a home theater system as well, since the speakers are on the back.

Replaced my stolen tv with this one after seeing it in action at my brother-in-law's house. Just so happened to go on sale at Best Buy so got a heck of a deal.
The only negative is the sound - not that big of a deal since (understandibly) it would be difficult to put GREAT speakers into a TV that is less than 1 1/2 inches thick. And the speakers are fine for general everyday TV viewing. To watch a blu-ray movie though, I feed the sound through my home theater.
What's great about it: ULTRA thin, Easy setup, Picture is AMAZING
What's not so great: to get a full theater experience - need a home theater system

This tv wouldn't have been my first choice, but the deal was too good to pass up. (Thank you Muldoon store!) My wife loves the touch of color design and the look of the 120Hz "auto motion plus." (Mostly with just animated movies). The tv looks beautiful even when it's off.
The things I don't like about it have been mentioned more than once. The backlighting system consists of LED's around the outer edge of the housing that spread light inward behind the screen. Imagine a bunch of flashlights around the edge pointing inward behind the black screen and that's the effect you'll see when the picture goes dark. This is commonly referred to as a "ghosting" effect. I've been able to reduce the effect quite a bit by turning the backlight level wayyy down and tweaking with the display settings, but if the room is dark you will definitely notice it in any dark scene or black screen.
The second "dark scene" problem is the tv utilizes "local dimming" technology which automatically turns down portions of the backlight in a dark area of the screen so that area will display a deeper black. Sounds like a good idea but the backlight area is fairly large and never matches up perfectly with the dark area of the screen, which give the effect of the entire screen jumping from lighter to darker very rapidly depending on the picture being displayed. If the room is completely black and you look away from the tv during a scene that has very dark areas, the light being emitted will be noticeably jumpy from the backlight trying to adjust itself. THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN THIS FEATURE OFF!! I'm crossing my fingers for a firmware update that will make that possible, but I'm not holding my breath. At least when the "auto motion plus" starts to look ridiculous I can turn it off.
These issues are magnified in a dark room. For general daytime viewing in a room with a lot of natural light, you won't notice it unless you're looking for it. The colors are vibrant and the picture quality itself really is beautiful. (Avatar really shows how good this display can look)
As far as the sound goes.... (Gets out my soap box)
IF YOU SPEND THIS KIND OF MONEY ON A TV AND YOU ARE USING THE TV SPEAKERS FOR SOUND, YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT! Don't spend your entire entertainment budget just on the tv. Make sure you get a blu-ray player (Can't go wrong with a PS3), sign up for HD with your cable/satellite provider, or if you only watch over the air broadcast tv find out if you can get HD feeds with an antenna, BUY YOURSELF A DECENT AUDIO/VIDEO RECEIVER, preferably one that will decode DTS and Dolby Digital HD signals, and get a decent set of surround speakers. You can get 'all in one" packages that include a blu-ray player built in to a receiver and comes with speakers so all you gotta do is plug the stuff in and QUIT USING A 2,000+ DOLLAR TV FOR SOUND. The tv is so thin anyway that getting any kind of large sound from speakers that would fit in that kind of space would be so expensive that no one would ever buy it. So I gave it 4 stars for sound just for have the option of "mute tv speakers" in the menu.
Now stepping off my soap box...
What's great about it: Thin. Looks pretty. Wife loves the red "touch of color."
What's not so great: "Local dimming" and "edge lit" effects.

My previous tv was an LCD Projection. I won't get into names, but I thought the picture quality was awesome. Then I discovered the Samsung LED. This tv is a dream! I'm no videophile, but it doesn't take a genius to see the amazing picture quality of this product.
Here is the best example I've come across to date. I recently watch a Blu-ray movie that had extremely dark scenes (picture, not theme). I could barely see most of the scenes on my old tv, which obviously ruined the watching experience. I played the same movie with the same Blu-ray player on my new Samsung LED. The difference is AMAZING! The clarity of the dark color tones was perfect.
One more major point is the Auto Motion Plus feature. It took me a couple weeks to get used to it, and I believe you can turn it off (though I haven't tried). It makes the screen "feel" different. Instead of the picture blurring during motion, it just "flows." It's kind of hard to explain, but it looks to me like you are watching real-life action shots. You either have to know something about this, or else SEE the tv in action to understand.
I also read a lot about the sound quality not being very good, and my model does not have the Magnolia audio, but I use a high quality surround sound system with my set anyway, so this really didn't mean much to me. Besides, I haven't ever seen a flat panel tv with excellent sound quality.
What's great about it: Picture Quality, Sleek Design, Auto Motion Plus, Did I Mention Picture Quality?
What's not so great: N/A

Speaking from a pure 'quality of picture' standpoint this TV is absolutely amazing. I went to this TV from a six year old rear-projection Sony DLP model and the difference in picture quality was like going from standard def to high def all over again! Scenes in LOST actually lose some of their believability because the picture is so much sharper - but that's a GREAT thing!
Set up was super simple. The picture settings are superb out of the box but I did go in a tweak just a few items. Being an LED backlit TV it was REALLY bright on the showroom settings. In my dim living room I was able to turn the brightness down to about half of its default value and it looks perfect. Sports, movies, reality shows - all look amazing!
The USB ports are a really cool feature too. I put a video from my Sony point-and-shoot camera on my USB key and played it on the TV through the USB port and it was absolutely gorgeous.
The only downfall (and just a slight one at that) is the Internet widgets (powered by Yahoo). While they are cool, controlling them using the remote is a pretty painful experience. But since hooking up the TV to my Internet connection they have sent out two updates to the TV's software. Hopefully one of these updates will make the remote more responsive to better control the widgets. Typing username and password into some of the widgets is an agonizing experience, but thankfully they are saved for you. A widget like Twitter that requires you to type constantly is pretty much unusable (but still okay just for watching what other people are posting).
I run all of my audio through my a/v receiver so I haven't used the TV speakers much. Not too qualified to speak to the sound quality.
I wall-mounted the TV and ran all of the cables through the wall, and that makes the TV look absolutely brilliant. I love the glossy black bezel that is surrounded by a clear plexiglass border - very tech-cool!
If you're looking simply for a great TV to watch your media on you can't go wrong. The picture is dead solid perfect!
What's great about it: The picture is stunning!
What's not so great: Internet widgets cool but impractical.

I've had this tv for nearly a year now. I love it. It is fantastic. I have not seen the new 3-D tv's so I can not compare to those. But, this is a fantastic television. The colors are amazing. The price was a little high when I bought it last year but as usual it has come down. I highly recommend this television.

I have had a Sony 46" LCD and thought the picture was fabulous; however after bringing home this 55" LED Samsung............WOW. It is like moving from a standard analog TV to LCD, but now LED rules.
From touch controls on the front of the set are hard to see and read. I do like the tough controls, but it would had been good if the lettering were of a color that stands out. Don't get me wrong........you really don't use those anyway as the remote control is simple and the primary controller.
What's great about it: Awesome Picture
What's not so great: Front Controls on the TV are hard to see and read

We've had this TV in daily service for a year. During that time, the price has dropped by fully one third -- par for the course for LCD TVs recently. It's more of a bargain now, but we've had no buyer's remorse. The TV has performed flawlessly and puts out almost no heat -- i.e., very energy efficient, even compared to standard LCDs but especially compareed to plasma sets this size.
Unless 3D turns out to be a desirable feature (not at all clear that it will), we'll use this set as our main TV for many years.
What's great about it: Stellar clarity and reliability
What's not so great: nothing significant

I bought this TV (the exact model) last year July and recently I started noticing that half of the screen is getting darker than the other half. In addition, there's a spot that lost the color. I contacted Samsung Customer Service and they sent out third party vendor to replace T-COW part. After that we still had the issue. Now the technitian says it needs a new LED Panel wihch means basically replace the 90% of the tv. I contacted Samsung Customer Service again to see if (and hoping) they can replace the tv instead of keep fixing it.
They said "We will try to replace parts until we can't resolve the issue". I understand if they try to replace one or two parts, but we're talking about whole LED panel. This is rediculous. I told the service rep. that I won't buy any Samsung product anymore and she said there's nothing I can do. I am just following the protocol.
What's great about it: 3K for this tv disappointed me
What's not so great: Half of the screen went dark and Samsung will replace the whole LED panel

I have had this LED tv for 2 weeks now and it will blow your mind; guest come over and the first thing they say is "Man look at that tv". The picture quality is jaw dropping; its seems like you can touch the people on the screen; the sound is o.k. but get a surround sound system. I'am very funny about quality products I buy so trust me this tv is worth it but note you must have a HD signal, and a blue ray player to get all the quality out of the tv .Remember this, Quality isn't cheap and Samsung is #1 for tvs, I believe if you get it right the first time you want have to go back and do it again so take it from me this 55"LED is top of the line Quality. This LED tv is thin, not heavy at all and use only 40% power for a tv this size; thats the story on my 55" Led Samsung....
What's great about it: The picture is jaw dropping,Unreal,Lifelike
What's not so great: Not one thing...

Had the set for a couple of weeks now, and I'm still in love. Mounted in on the wall with the samsung ultra-slim wall-mount (buy the mount from amazon or the like...DO NOT pay full retail) Less than two-inches from the wall.....definite wow-factor.
The picture is fantastic. It's set to "dynamic" in the box (like most flat-panels), and it's impressive the moment you turn it on...the colors may be very slightly wonky, but the clarity is ..well, as others have said..like looking out a window.
I paid for the calibration, and haven't been terribly happy with that... the custom settings will save me electricity, lengthen the life of the set, and make skin tones and football fields look more accurate, but it allows maybe the set's only flaw to become way more apparent.
This set has noticeable white clouds throughout the screen...initially, they stand out most during the credits of movies or something like that..but then you notice them during dark scenes too. When the TV is in "dynamic" and running hot, the ghosting almost vanishes. So I find myself switching between the two picture modes more often than I'd like. Especially if I have company, I always go to dynamic.
I bought a sound bar for it, mostly for the subwoofer. The TV's speakers weren't nearly as bad as I was expecting..but they definitely pack no punch. ANd a screen and picture like this deserves punch.
Though I LOVE my new TV...I'm not sure I'd loudly endorse it due to the ghosting. And I don't feel that the calibration achieved anything NEARLY worth the cost.
What's great about it: Gorgeous on the wall... beautiful picture
What's not so great: ghosting, or clouding..whatever it's called..it's real.
