"I have to say that this is, bar none, the best HDTV I have ever owned! I've never seen a clearer, sharper picture. This is especially true during fast paced action scenes on movies! The detail is so vivid! It's better than any plasma and it's not glaringly bright like the LED TVs! I purchased this with the Samsung HT-BD1250 5.1 Surround Sound Home Theater System. I don't even bother going to the theater any more! I also love the chassis! The classic glossy black with the "Touch of Color" red give it panache! One thing I've noticed is that occasionally, during fast action scenes, a detail in the background will digitize/blur slightly. This surprises me on a set with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It's not enough to be bothersome, but it is there"

"Wow what a tv. So the first thing i watch on this tv is a hockey game. Amazing, everything, the detail of the ice, the movement of the puck and the players, best tv i've ever owned for watching sporting events. the following day it's the state of the union, incredible clear picture, the next day tv drama, and again 0 complaints. Everything about this tv is incredible, the web widgets are fun, but i admit, they're pretty useless. the custom controls on the picture are fantastic, you can set this perfectly for your room and viewing pleasure, the same can be said for the audio controls. the best part about this tv is the custom controls on the 120hz, being able to adjust the blur reduction and the judder reduction independently is very nice allowing you to optimize the settings to what your watching. To sum it all up, if your looking for a 37 inch television, then stop looking and buy this set."

"I could not be more pleased with picture. It makes everything appear wonderful including VHS tapes, DVDs, Blu-Ray, etc. The 120 refresh rate truly makes the difference. My wife was skeptical of the purchase at first but was amazed at the picture quality. My family said the picture was so good it made images look almost 3 dimensional as they leapt off the screen at you. If you are looking for a 37" TV with a great picture - you cannot go wrong with this TV.
The USB ports are an added plus as you can connect hard drives with home movies, etc and watch on the screen without any issues
The only drawback is that I wish it had the internet TV capability as my space constraints prevented me from purchasing the next size up to get this capability, which is why I gave it a 4 on features - otherwise it would have gotten a 5.
However, overall very pleased with purchase and quality. If you are like me and want a great TV but have limited space - spend the extra money to get this TV - you will not be disappointed."

"This TV is pretty amazing. I'm not the most tech-savvy individual in the world, but I did a lot of research and got some advice from some technical friends of mine, and I am NOT disappointed with my purchase. I recently bought a TV from another manufacturer for my mom which is very nice, and I thought it was about as good as it gets....until I saw the picture on this Samsung. Just beautiful picture quality; hands down the best I've seen. Also the styling is pretty spiffy with the plexigalss base and red accents; very nice looking TV when it is just sitting there turned off. I am using this TV with an audio receiver, so I don't have a good sense of the sound quality, but it seemed fine for the first few minutes before I had it running through the receiver. The only thing I dislike about this TV is the 9 inch remote. It's gigantic. But that is a small gripe on an otherwise great product. I think I will always go with Samsung for any kind of monitor or television from now on. I am very satisfied with this product."

"Excellent tv for the price. Samsung seems to really make the best tv's these days. Extremely nice for those into downloading movies in .avi format. With the USB 2.0 connection you can plug an external hard drive right in & watch movies straight from the hard drive. Plays all kinds of formats as well, .avi, .mp4, .mkv. Overall the sound performance is the only part that probably isn't top notch, but still good."

"I love this TV! This is my first flat screen and it was a great choice. I bought it black Friday weekend so it was at a great price as well. It is small enough for our limited spaced apt. but it is big enough to impress. I was nervous about how the quality of the HD would be since it was not to expensive but I was quickly amazed by it. I highly recommend it for gamers. Xbox 360 looks awesome on it. If I had to find something bad about it...... it is that after pressing the on button you have to wait a little while. I don't understand why it takes so long to turn on but that is a very minor complaint."

"Not only does the Samsung have great picture quality, the overall design of the screen and stand is beautiful. I like the fact the the stand is large and very stable. I have it on a sliding metal base that also turns it in different directions, and I never feel like it will tip over. I'm new at this kind of tv, so I'm not sure if it's me or what, but sometimes I can't figure out what picture size to use for various types of DVD formats. I wish it had more options."

"Went back and forth between Sony and this Samsung and after having both in my home for two weeks the quality of the Samsung versus the Sony is like prince and pauper. The Samsung is extraordinary, picture is beautiful and full of color and stunning quality. Sound is less than desirable because the speakers are placed in the lower back but I just hook up an extended woofer and two speakers and problem solved. I would recommend this television to anyone and am happy I returned the Sony and stuck with Samsung."

"Picture died withing 60 or so days. So much for what the reviews said. Have extended plan and Best buy called right away, just didn't show up for two weeks. Ordered a part and scheduled that to be put in two weeks. A Month or so without the TV."

"This is my first HD tv. A new tv for my living room is a big deal for me, and I spent a great deal of time and effort searching for the very best tv that met my needs and my budget. I couldn't be happier in my end choice of the LN37B650.
The first thing I learned in my research is that you have to be careful in your choice of size for the tv. The recommendation I found on the web is that when watching HD content (1080 i/p), best viewing is found for a distance of 1.5 to 3 times the screen size. Because of the loss of resolution with SD content (480 i/p, and also analog cable), best viewing is recommended for a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size. For the foreseeable future I anticipate that the majority of my viewing will be of SD content - so I need to be able to get the best viewing possible for it and for HD. My living room is a modest 11ft X 14 ft, and my viewing distance is typically about 7ft. With a 37" tv I would get best viewing of HD content at distances of 4.5ft to 9.2ft, with my 7ft position at a sweet spot right in the middle of that range. The recommendation for best viewing of SD content for a 37" tv are at distances of 9ft to 18ft, putting optimum viewing of SD content just at the edge of possibility. The situation for SD viewing gets a little worse for a 40" tv.
After spending many hours at store tv displays examining 37" and 40" tvs from my 7ft viewing distance, I came to the conclusion that the LN37B650 gave the best viewing results. There are a number of documented features for the set that explain this: it has 1080p; it has a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio; it has an ultrafast 4ms response time; it has 120 Hz; it has Ultra Clear Panel; and it has Wide Color Enhancer. In addition to all of this, it is also a Samsung - which has a strong reputation for superior displays.
I was not disappointed in my choice. I have had it now for over two weeks, and have been using it for over 100 hours of viewing. The 1080i HD content from my cable supplier has a picture quality that is absolutely incredible! The same can be said for the 1080p Blu-ray movies I have watched on this tv. The picture quality for the 720p content from my cable supplier is also excellent, but clearly not as good as the picture for the 1080i content. The picture quality for the 480i/p content from my cable supplier is good, but I do notice a clear loss in sharpness for it compared to 720p content. I can also see the effects of the 4ms response time and the 120 Hz capability of this tv in action scenes, and am very glad I got it. I was extremely happy to find that the picture quality for the analog cable content, which makes up over 80% of my tv viewing, is actually better quality than what I got with my old 27" crt tv! Even with the bigger screen of the LN37B650, the picture quality (in most cases) for the analog cable content is so good as to be of almost DVD quality! Overall, picture quality on this tv is exceptional.
Audio quality is also important to me. In the over 100 hours of use in the past two weeks, I have found the sound quality of the LN37B650 to be very good for standard tv viewing. My living room is crowded with soft furniture, which probably affects the acoustics. I have the volume set to 25 to 30 (out of 100) for standard viewing. This works very well for news, documentaries, sitcoms, series, and the like. The sound for movies is also very good, at least as good as my old surround sound stereo crt tv that this tv has replaced. I have made no attempt yet to tweak the equalizer settings to attempt improvement, and have so far been running everything with the Standard settings for sound, with SRS (surround sound) on. The volume output of this tv is very good to start with. I tried raising the level from 30 to 50, and noticed no perceptible distortion in the sound output. At a setting of 50 the audio was clear in the back room of my 2 bedroom apartment, and probably to my surrounding neighbors as well! I also spent time listening to music channels on this tv, and found the sound quality to be at least as good as that of my old stereo tv, which was quite good. I would rate the sound quality for this tv as very good, and superior to most LCD tvs I have listened to. One last comment on the sound issue - I noticed improvement in sound quality after running the set for a few days. I am aware that it is common practice to season new speakers and headphones for more than 24 hours to reach peak performance. Finally, I think it is unfair to compare the audio performance of a tv to the audio component of a home theater system costing more than an additional $400!
This tv also looks fantastic in my living room. I really like the TOC red accent on the bottom part of the bezel. I also appreciate the narrowness of the bezel on the sides and top of the tv - they make the tv look classy. The crystal pillar on the stand enhances the look of the tv, as well as contributing to its pivoting utility. The remote for the tv is also exceptional in appearance and utility - it is a shiny piano black with large buttons (that can be illuminated). When the tv is off it presents a deep black appearance from which I don't notice any problem with reflection - however it faces away from the only large window in the room.
This tv also has a host of additional features that make it attractive. It has exceptional connectivity - 4 HDMI inputs, 2 component inputs, and one composite input (I am already using 4 of these inputs!). I discovered that my set also had HDMI-CEC (called Anynet+ by Samsung). This allows me to control basic functions of HDMI connected devices using the Samsung remote! The tv has two usb ports on its side edge. I plugged a SDHC card reader into one of these, with a memory card of photos and did a slide show. The photos on the big screen were incredible! I was also able to do a snappy presentation - the tv was able to transition from one photo to the next reasonably quickly. I also was able to play some video from my computer using the Movie Usb 2.0 port. I haven't yet tried connecting my new tv to the web - and am looking forward to that.
In conclusion, this is an exceptionally good tv. I am very glad to have purchased it, and recommend it highly."

"We are retired and fulltimers in an RV. We chose this brand of TV to be durable enough to travel. We are very happy with our choice. This is our first HD experience and we love it. This picture really spoils you for any other tv viewing though. We are now going to buy another (smaller) one for the bedroom. We can't wait for football season to start because this TV makes baseball games seem like you are in the stands. Fast action plays are refreshed quickly and naturally looking. We love it and would whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone. We now wish everything was broadcast in HD."

"Never owned a HDTV before this is my first; I was wanting this from the moment that I saw it for it's 1080P and 120 hertz with a 100,000:1 contrast ration; but it was a bit to pricy, then it went on sale and I had a coupon for $100.00 immediate gift certificate so I could not resist, I purchased it. I put it in my room and I love it the picture quality is amazing; brings to life everything that I have missed out on from my old Samsung TV. The out of box experience was wonderful everything was easy to setup just took it out placed it on the pedestal and just screwed it together. I hooked it up to my Samsung blu-ray BD-P4600 makes all my blu-ray movies come to life even my 'old' DVD's look better then ever. The cool thing is that it has no physical manual; you have to hook up the thumb drive that it comes with to the TV and the manual is on screen way cool or you can hook up to your computer to view it! I hooked my computer to it to try it out and the resolution is simply stunning. I would recommend this to anyone who is a Samsung’s fan! Oh yeah, having 4 HDMI connections is cool to since I use that to connect all my apparatus’s to it and still have extra’s."

"I have the Xbox 360 Elite, PS3 and a BD player in my computer also. This monitor does AWESOME for all of it. The 120 Hz for Blueray is something to behold... it takes a few minutes to get used to seeing people move around and explosions go off without blurring.. or, in most cases, without looking like they are even moving. But once you're hooked, it's really something. And HD gaming.. wow! Halo 3 never looked so good. And Fallout 3 on the computer: Insanely detailed! I can't say enough about this monitor/TV. If you're looking for a good monitor, this is the bomb! Granted it's a bit big, but once you get used to it.. prepare for some sleepless nights! The HD cable input is great! I love being able to watch Robot Chicken and picture-in-picture to check on the status of my server on the computer in the bottom of the screen. This television is excellent for all high tech applications!"
