What's great about it: Overall clarity and dynamics
What's not so great: The cover didn't look new...seemed a little scratched.
After doing an exhaustive search from my primary music stores, I decided to see what Best Buy had. I was surprised they carried the Trembucker model. I was looking for a pickup that had more clarity and this seemed to fit the bill when I read the specs at the Seymour Duncan website. I figured it didn't matter what pickups one used generally because they were made from the same materials. Wrong. The pickup brought the tone of my guitar front and center. Very good clarity without being shrill. I use a Park 75 model on my Line 5 HD500 boosted with a compressor and it gets fantastic sustain. The dynamics are there besides it being a hot pickup. It responded well to volume knob changes. This is an overall great hard rock style pickup. Plenty of sustain and clarity with a Van Halen I vibe using a Marshall type amp. I combined this with a APH-1N (11104-01-B) and I have "tone for days" as they say.
I would recommend this to a friend!
