What's great about it: Great Picture
What's not so great: Nothing

"Samsung Has a great picture even over the Air ( High Def is great), and good sound. I like the the thinnest of the unite, The 46" is a good size for our family room. So in a nut shell I have nothing to say bad about the TV just all good. I could have saved Taxes by buying back east, But I got a good price at Best Buy.

What's great about it: Picture quality is excellent and the 46" screen is perfect fit for what I needed.
What's not so great: Speakers are on the back of the TV makes hearing it difficult sometimes.

"I would recommend this TV with one thing added. Buy speakers. The speakers are on the back of this TV. Depending on where you have it placed it can be difficult to hear without turning the sound way up."

What's great about it: Crazy thin and beautiful, vibrant colors, deep blacks, almost no motion blur
What's not so great: Sound is extremely poor, not enough connections on the back, viewing angle is poor

"I just bought this Samsung 46" LED 6000 series TV last night. They had a comparible LG 47" 240 hz LED on sale for $1499 as well but no free blu ray player with that and I don't know too much about LG... After reviewing this TV for almost 3 months now, I decided to pull the trigger and buy it. Best Buy gave me a great deal, free blu ray DVD player and another $100 off the TV. I took it home and it was a quick and easy set up. The picture is amazing, almost no motion blur thanks to the 120 hz and the colors are so vibrant and real. Black levels are outstanding, everything I watch looks like it's in 3D. I tested regular HD cable TV, Bluray, PS3 games and Xbox 360 games, even the old HD DVD movies....they all look amazing, life-like and in 3D... However, the sound is subpar, but after 2-3 hours, it automatically adjusts and starts to sound better. But with all HD digital TVs these days, you should have a surround sound system. This is my bedroom TV so a 46" is plenty big.

If you're unsure on whether or not to go for the 120 hz versus the 240 hz versions, just know that from viewing these TVs side by side and reading all the "expert" reviews on numerous websites and forums, the difference between 120 hz and 240 hz is too difficult to discern. But if you want the latest and greatest and if it bothers you that much, you will pretty much just pay an extra $400 for the 240 hz. Honestly though, I could not tell the difference. Otherwise I would have just bought the 240 hz 8000 series for an extra $400. These TVs are priced very well. I was going to go with the 55" but my wife said it would be too big. Here's another question for you potential buyers....do I go with the 46" 240 hz version for $400 more, or do I go with the 55" 120 hz version for only $600 more? Like I said...and I stand by my word...I could not tell any difference....so I guess it's a matter of how big you want your TV.

I was torn between this TV and the 65" Panasonic S1 series plasma which is on sale for an incredible $2199...are you kidding me, for a 65"? LOL...so I went ahead and bought both. I just got my tax returns and got back from a year long deployment to Afghanistan where I made some extra cash...anyway, you can't go wrong between plasma and LED. They both look great. Always buy the extended warranty, you never know...Thanks Best Buy.

What's great about it: Good picture.
What's not so great: Poor sound.

"This is my first LED HDTV and I chose it because of the picture quality. The picture is sharp and clean with vibrant colors and great contrast. The black level is really deep, which is something I really like. When I got it into my apartment, I was disappointed by the sound from the internal speakers. This is not a good TV for a bedroom where you don't intend to add external amplified speakers or a home theater audio system. I ended up back at the store buying a "sound bar" that appeared to be made for this TV. It comes with a subwoofer and supposedly gives you stereo sound and psuedo-surround if you turn that on in the TV. The sound bar fits on my TV stand just under the picture, but in that spot it blocks the IR remote control signal. I had to take the feet off the sound bar and even then I have to lift the remote really high to get it to connect. The sound from the sound bar is ok, but not great. I've heard much better sound from the built in speakers in my Sharp and Sony flat screen TV's. It's a bit muddy and it doesn't get very loud. Maybe that's a good thing, considering I live in an apartment! I'm also disappointed that it does not have a wireless Internet connection. I can't delete weak and analog channels that it finds in an auto-search. I'm not even able to pick up all the network HD off-air channels with the HDTV indoor antenna I bought with the TV. I just bought a Terk amplified indoor antenna and hope that works better. Either the signals are weak in my apartment or the tuner is not very sensitive. I was also not happy with the location of the HDMI jacks. I hate cables sticking out of the side. They should make these things with all the jacks at the bottom center in back. The stand installed easily, except for two screws that require a very long phillips screwdriver. Mine was too short to do the job so I had to run out and buy another one. All in all, I thought this TV would be an easy installation in my new apartment and it took a lot longer to get it right than I expected."

What's great about it: Picture quality and clarity
What's not so great: Remote control ridiculous in size

"This LED TV is what I have been looking for. This set is literally my 5th tv in about 2 months. I am very picky about my electronics and wasn't having any luck with Sony sets. So, I purchased this set for 1499 with a free Bluray player at my local Best Buy.

This Samsung is by far the best TV out there. The picture quality and clarity is amazing. Very deep blacks and bright whites thanks to the LED's that give 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio!

Sound, like with most LCD's is not the best, but the TV is 1 1/4 inches thick so there isnt much space for speakers.

What I also like about this TV is that there are no white spots when the TV goes totally dark. Its nice and even. Those of you who have or have had a standard LCD will know what Im talking about.

A must have!

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Nothing yet

"I bought this last night and am 100% happy so far. The picture quality is FANTASTIC! You really have to see it to believe it. Looking at it in the store does not do it justice. Very simple setup and the menu is very easy to navigate. The sound quality is not the best but the unit is so thin I have no idea how they even got speakers to fit inside it. I may be going back tonight to buy another one for my bedroom. I highly recommend everyone to purchase if you can."

Great TV/Great Price   02/03/2010
By BarBill from MD

What's great about it: Colors and Contrast are fantastic. Menu easy to use and plenty of preset and custom settings.
What's not so great: You have to Share the Component input with the Composit, can only use one type at a time.

"Bought this back in Sep. 09 for $1599 at BB. Have rarely seen it for that price ever since, so if you find it for that BUY IT. I've only seen one strange thing with this TV and its when watching Lester Holt with his peppered hair. As his head moves his hair shimmers. Rather distracting but more so strange that I really haven't seen this happen with anyone or anything else. Other than that the TV has been brilliant. For those who complain about the internal speakers, ALL HDTV pretty much have poor speakers, if you're going to have an HDTV invest in an AV Reciever or Surround Sound unit. This TV also has an optical SPDIF out which supports 5.1 Surround. Note, if you're not using the HDMI "IN" you won't get true Surround. This TV W/Surround is just like being at the MOVIES!"

What's great about it: Stunning, plasma-quality picture. Easy to set up.
What's not so great: Sound quality is lacking.

"I will give you my initial impressions after owning this TV for one day. First, it was easy to set up. I literally took it out of the box, hung it up, connected it and it was ready to roll. Of course, you have to adjust settings to meet your room light level, etc. but the menu system was easy to understand and easy to customize the settings. The picture is outstanding. The family room that the TV is in has a lot of sunlight (not direct) and there was no problem with glare or washed out colors. Now, the sound quality. It is not awful by any means but with so much attention paid to quality of the picture, you would think that Samsung would focus more attention on the sound quality. It is average at best. You do have the ability to change sound settings to "movie", "music" etc. mode which is a pretty neat feature. A small negative - my cable box does not have a HDMI output so I have been using component cables, The problem is that there is only one set of A/V cables so if you want to use a sound bar with a component cable hookup, you cannot. I have a Boston soundbar which is useless right now until I swap my cable box out to one that has an HDMI output. Finally, the TV has the standard plugs as well as a pc hookup. It internet ready but needs a direct connection. If you have a wireless network in your house, you need to purchase the wireless adapter for it to work. Overall, a very good TV for the price. I paid $1200 as it was an open box item. Not bad for an LED with 120mhz refresh rate. By the way, my third Samsung. Best in the business I believe."

"This is my first HD TV and I am very impressed with this set. The picture quality is out of this world. I also purchased a blu ray player and sound system. Together it's like being in the movies. What's great about it: Picture quality, styling, good price
What's not so great: PIP is limited to Air or Cable choices and using the HDMI for cable does not allow you to see it

"Great picture quality, sleek design, easily understood menus. The sound is a bit tinny, but really overall very good. Definitely need the HDMI cable from your cable box for the HD channels to maximize the capabilities of this TV. As stated in the Cons, the Picture in Picture feature only allows you to select Air or Cable, but since I'm using the HDMI port from the cable box and don't have an antenna hooked up, I get nothing but static.
The pros far outweigh the few cons. Watching football, movies and animated series is unbelievable. Even when the TV is switched off, it looks great just sitting there. Now that the prices are dropping even further, it's a good time to buy this outstanding TV.

What's great about it: Decent price for the quality you get, amazing picture, rated to last for 25+ years, uses 40% less energy than an LCD
What's not so great: OK Speakers, you must constantly tap the remote's volume to increase volume, vs. just pressing finger down for seconds.

"I couldn't be more happy with this TV! I was at first a little disappointed with the picture when I set it up at home until I realized that I needed to order HD TV signal in order to experience the quality that I saw in the store. Once I got that installed... WOW! I couldn't believe that this was MY TV!!! The images have a near 3D quality to them, the colors are incredible, and the picture is so sharp, with no distortion like I had on my last LCD TV.

I contacted Best Buy after purchasing this TV and reading that there is/was a special offer of a free matching sound bar/sub woofer with this purchase. BB honored the offer and mailed it to me (I live 2 hours away) at no extra charge, and now I am 100% happy with this amazing TV!!! The sound bar and sub are very sharp looking, and sound great! I HIGHLY recommend this to anybody looking for the best quality, longevity of a unit, low power usage and a great deal with the Sound bar as a free gift with the purchase!!

What's great about it: Unbelievable picture, Decent price for a LED
What's not so great: Only 1 component hookup, No AV hookup

"Before making this purchase I owned a 42" Vizio. After researching LED TV's I figured I would give them a try. I've also known Samsung to be a good manuf. of TV's. This TV went beyond what I thought. Easy set up, Great picture (unlike I've ever seen) and great sound. I got the 2.1 Samsung Sound bar with Wireless Bass which I also would recommend. Together this package creates a total theater environment."

What's not so great: Sound could be somewhat improved.

"We are so incredibly happy with our purchase. Best Buy has been amazing with their price match guarantee. We purchased the TV at 1699. Then the lowered the price to 1599. We brought in our receipt – no questions asked. They matched us the difference. Today they offered the free sound bar with the purchase of the TV so we brought back in our receipt and walked out with more than we walked in with (plus the free sound bar). We love the picture! We love the design. The remote is easy to use. The free sound bar has worked perfectly with the slim PS3. We didn’t think the sound on the TV was bad but now that we have the sound bar and subwoofer that comes with it, we are even more thrilled. Hook up was easy. We are very pleased with purchase and service we have gotten. If you are thinking of buying while they are offering the free sound bar – do it!"

"This TV has a great picture and works really well with Blu-Ray disc. My wife has commented in the past that she can't tell any difference in digital and HDTV, now she says there is a difinite difference. One of the things I really liked about this set is how thin the set is. The LED technology is great with the lower power useage and alot less heat going into the room."

What's great about it: Picture is amazing, hard to believe how life like it is. Pair it with any blu ray player and see the picture come alive.
What's not so great: Sound is ok, I paired mine with an Onkyo home theater receiver so it's all good.

"The TV amaze me everyday since I got it on Black Friday sale for $1599. It beats my Samsung Plasma anyday.. although I still kept the plasma hehe.

Anyway the best thing about the LEDTV is that it makes the picture so alive.. best source ofcourse is with a blu ray player although it's amazing on Comcast HD too. Watching my favorite TV shows like Law and Order:SVU & CSI just makes me want to stay home.

Whats not to like? life like pictures, 2 million to 1 contrast ratio... basic widgets (news, weather, stocks) and that slim elegant look on the TV goes great with my Onkyo Home theater and my friends just likes to come over and watch Movies and sports.

Get it.. for $1599 this is definitely a steal! =D

What's great about it: Easy/quick set-up, flawless picture, ultra-thin
What's not so great: only downfall is the mediocore speakers

"I recently just purchased this tv about a month ago... I gotta say, this thing is really nice. the LED technology definitely brings everything to life. The colors are more vivid and brighter than a normal LCD, both of which are in the house and are both Samsung. What's also great is how thin it is, managed to save a lot of room either way you choose to have it, on the wall or on the stand. The finish is also nice accents any room nicely. I have it hooked up to the PS3/Xbox 360/High-End Gaming PC, they all look amazing!! The Blue Ray movies on this thing are u n r e a l. The 120hz refresh rate is so fast it's like it's almost 3D in some scenes! The only weak point with this tv in my opinion, is the speakers. They crank up loud enough and the quality is fine too but with the way this thing was designed they obviously put their attention to the design and picture quality of the tv. which totally made sense. If your going to have a tv of this caliber, your more than likely going to have some type of surround sound system to go along with it right?? ... So.. overall I'd say it's excellent, met or exceeded my expectations.. bottom line- if you want the best, don't hesitate to pick one up, you won't be disappointed!"
