What's great about it: Easy set up, Picture quality, Menu navigation
What's not so great: nothing.
At the store I fell in love with the LG's picture quality. When I got it home it was SUPER SUPER easy to set up and hook up to my existing cable/dvr box. I reccomend picking up an HDMI cable with your purchase. Most cable boxes have the option to use that instead of the old coaxial cable.
I will say that there was nothing that came with the TV to tell me that I had to hit "input" on the remote and choose the HDMI input source. I soon figured it out, switched to the HD channels (for me they are up in the 800's) and WOW!!!!!! The quality and sound were phenominal. Every one who sees it, even friends that already had HDTVs think its an incredible picture.
Kudos to LG for the super easy menu system.

What's great about it: Great picture at a great price!!!
This is a great HD TV for the price. The picture quality is as good or better than other TV's from Big Brand Name TV's that cost considerably more than this set. The built in DVD is a real plus and easy to operate. Great space saver feature.

What's great about it: This TV works right out of the box, and the price was astouding.
What's not so great: The remote doesn't have a dedicated button for changing the picture aspect ratio.
I purchased this TV on a limited budget when a huge DLP RCA I made the mistake of purchasing from TigerDirect.com crapped out after nine months. As they won't help me until I find a way to ship it back to them, even though I received it without a box, I was in a hurry to find an affordable replacement. I wanted to spend under a grand, and since the 46" Sony Bravia LCD for $700-800 was sold out everywhere, I settled on this one. I was very pleasantly surprised. I hooked it up with an HDMI cable to my Brighthouse DVR, and not only did I get a great picture, but the screen would change form widescreen to standard automatically, which solved the problem of having to swap the aspect from the options menu from the remote, which lacks a "picture size" or "aspect" or "screen format" button. I got this TV for under $600 (tax included.) Although I would prefer a larger TV for my living room, this TV is perfect in my bedroom. I have yet to hook it up to my new Mac Mini, though it's nice having the option to do so. This is the first LG brand electronics I've ever purchased. I'm glad I bought it and highly recommend it. LG and Samsung are my new favorite brands. I purchased the additional two-year warranty, as I've had bad luck with TV's in the past, though so far I don't think I'll need it.

What's great about it: Excellent Picture, good sound
What's not so great: Only has one old style audio/vid input in the back. .
This is a great TV for the price, around $550.00 including taxes. Bought it for the bedroom. I already have a 1080HD 50" in the living room with all the pluses. Did not needed a 1080 since I dont have HD box in my bedroom. Still excellent picture and good sound. The only problem is that I can't hook up my old bedroom DVD since there is only one old style input that I use for the cable box. I need to buy a new DVD with HDMI, but not big deal since my DVD is very old and I was thiking about getting a new one too. If you dont need the last thing in the market and want a good solid choice, this is the one. Ah, it looks great too!

I love my 37" Flat Screen. The picture is great and it's just the right size for the room. I can't wait to watch baseball and football on it. The fact that the width of the TV is so small is great too; it makes it look so much more modern. It's almost like adding a piece of furniture to the room.

What's great about it: Picture,sound,design
What's not so great: Two HDMI's
By far the best value for a 37" @$500. Originally bought the 32" Sony, but a little too small, even though it was a 1080P 120hz. Trust me, you can not tell the diff on a smaller screen. The LG's pic even looked good in standard mode, since I didn't have it hooked up to HD for several days. Not a matted screen like the Sony's or the color saturated Samsungs. I'm a pessimist so I kept the box and contents ready for a return up until the last possible day. Very pleased, and would highly recommend for a smaller room. The swivel stand is also a plus. ONLY negative is 2 HDMI connections.

What's great about it: Audio is excellent for built in speakers
What's not so great: sometimes difficult to find the captioning
I just love this TV and the LG product line in general. I was convinced that Samsung was the only way to go, but the price seemed high. When I really examined the LG I realized that it was just as good as the Samsung for a lower price. I have had the TV for one year and love it. Excellent picture with both digital cable and DVD's . You will notice a better crisper picture with a 1080, but this 720 still has a beautiful crisp picture and very excellent stereo sound out of its built in speakers.

What's great about it: Good price and great picture
What's not so great: remote
I'm happy with the over all quality of this LG TV. Great price for this TV. I had purchased a 37" Insignia LCD TV 1080p. Owned it for a few days and returned it. The picture quality wasn't so great, especially in dark scenes. My LG has a much better picture quality. The remote isn't so grand. I wish it could control my DVD player, cable box, and digital receiver. No big deal, I still have my Verizon FiOS universal remote. Also, I do wish it had a least one more HDMI input. It has 2 inputs. I have a lot of game consoles and DVD players (one is a DVD recorder). Make sure it has enough inputs for you. Luckily, I have a receiver that has a HMDI bypass and it works just as well for my DVD players. I still get the better quality picture with that then if I used a comp. hook up. All in all, I'm much happier with the LG 720p than I was with the Insignia 1080p.

Wow. This may be my first HDTV but for half the price for similar sized televisions, it wasn't worth the extra $500. It could be a little sharper during wide shots at sporting events, particularly football. UFC/combat sports are great. Only negative is the picture during dark scenes in movies.

What's great about it: Nice picture
What's not so great: Not enough media outlets for games, dvd players, etc.
I like the LG brand, but this TV did not think of the consumer. There is only one set of media outlets on the back of the TV. This does not leave room for satellite, blue ray disc, dvd, game consoles, and other devices that need to be hooked up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Where do I start?!? Picture, sound, fantastic tv.
What's not so great: NOTHING.
I purchased this tv on Feb. 9th, 2010 from my local best buy. I had purchased a 37" Sanyo lcd from another store the day before. I bought this tv because I had to return the sanyo because it was just horrible. This LG is incredible. It's a 720p hdtv, but it's dynamic contrast ratio is 30,000:1. I compared tv's in best buy and this one had a better picture than some of the 1080p tv's. It really is amazing. Cosmetically, it is very attractive looking. It has a nice shiny look, and if you use it on the pedestal stand that comes with it, it swivels!! I am extremely happy with this purchase and I am very impressed with LG. So many settings which are easy to use so you can customize how you want it to look. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a real quality lcd hdtv without breaking the bank.

What's great about it: The picture
What's not so great: nothing noticed so far
I recently got this tv and I love it. I upgraded from an old standard def., so the difference is phenomenal. I currently have my Xbox 360 hooked up and the picture is pristine. One thing I do not think is that amazing is the sound; it seems that the sound is not quite up to par as compared to my old tv. Since I do not like blu-ray movies, I am quite fine with the resolution being 720p. Great for bedrooms and small rooms, but too small to be a main tv. All in all I would recommend this tv to anyone in the market to make that HD jump.

What's great about it: Easy to set up and to program, great picture quality for 720 dpi
What's not so great: For the price-nothing, some additional inputs would have been nice.
This is a GREAT set for the price. I was amazed at how sharp the picture quality is when using the HDMI inputs. Even .avi videos are sharp and clear. An additional HDMI port would be useful. I wanted to incorporate wireless but this is not possible directly. Apple TV solved that problem but used the second HDMI port which means the DVD player needs to go the component video route. Switching inputs is very easy with the remote control.

What's great about it: Easy to Set Up, Great Picture/Sound
What's not so great: Nothing So Far
I usually don't write reviews on a product, but I have enjoyed using this TV so much that I figured I'd let you all know about my experience it. I bought this TV because of the sale Best Buy was running and have had it for about 3 weeks. This was my first time buying an HDTV, and I shopped around for some time before settling on this model. I have heard that Sony and Samsung where the best in the HDTV business, but this TV seemed just as good side by side, and has a very slick design as well. The picture is amazing for 720p, and because there are speakers on all 4 sides of the TV, the audio is very clear. The only bad thing about this TV is that sports like hockey tend to blur a bit because of the 60Hz refresh rate, but since LG doesn't make a 37" 120Hz TV and I didn't want to go down to a 32" I had to compromise.
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. I enjoy the LG brand so much that I bought a 32" 1080p tv right after I bought this one for another room in my house. My advice is that if you want a quality TV without having to pay extra for the Sony or Samsung brand, an LG TV is the way to go. Hope this helps.
