this dsi is the best ever the 3ds is good to but dsi has way more games like call of duty! i just got for B-day and was so exited. i really recommend you to buy this.

The kids love the camera and the voice recorder that comes with the DSI. The only negative thing about the DSI is that they took away the cartridge slot for the old Nintendo Game Boy games. I would recommend getting the extended warranty if you are buying this for a child. We have had a couple ruined by liquid spilling on them and unfortunately did not have the warranty.

What's great about it: Build, Games, Channels
What's not so great: low megapixle camera
Since i have had this system for (soon to be ) two years, i will write a full, in -depth review.
Camera: At a low .3 megapixles, the camera is not the best, delivering somewhat fuzzy photos, there for do not buy this for use as a digital camera. You can choose a variety of tools to edit photos, like mirror imaging or distorting the photo, or even putting little speech bubbles to write in. There are also several different "channels" that you can use your picture on (my sims camera, warioware, face pilot). Final rating: 4 of 5
Browser: The browser is a semi-fast web browser that can surf the web but cannot support flash. It is better top use a laptop or another internet source. Final rating: 3 of 5
Dsiware shop: In this shop, you can use dsi-points to buy games or "channels". The games are fairly cheap, the most expensive being $10, the cheapest $2. The $2 games are highly lacking content so they are mostly worthless. These games are OKAY but do not buy the system and no games relying on these, or you will not enjoy the system after a few days. Final rating: 3 of 5
Music Player: In the music player, you can download song from your computer to an sd card (sold seperatly) and put into the system. You can buy the sd cards at best buy, so it's easy to obtain. The package i got came with a 4 gb sd card, the system, the starter pack, and a game. With an sd card you can add extra pictures (480 system memory limit) to the sd card. Back on topic, the music player is sometimes not able to play certain tracks. With the player, you can also edit a song's pitch and speed. You can also record sounds and your voice, and play with them. Final rating: 4 of 5
System's build: The basic nintendo ds build with an added camera on the inside and out side. The ds seems very sturdy and the system never cracked. However, after not playing for a month or two, i found that the shoulder buttons ( left and right buttons at the top stopped working. After i did research, i found that this is a common problem, which happens when dust settles under the buttons after months of not playing, so it was really mother nature and my fault for this. The solution is to blow into the small hole under the button.After that, my dsi was fixed, and i went back to playing! Final rating: 5 of 5

What's great about it: Very portable and user friendly.
Bought this for 8 yr old grandchild and he is "hooked". Loves to be creative with photos and music. Great for riding in the car on trips. Enough flexibility to keep interest with gaming and creative things to do.

What's not so great: the internet has low memory and pages take awhile to load sometimes
the nintendo dsi is a very good deal and i especially like how it has its own internet browser

What's great about it: The larger screen, Brightness of touchscreen, Signal of WIFI
What's not so great: Web browser cant do anything, Camera is unclear, Scratches Easily.
Based on Nintendo's description of the device, it sounds like a dream machine. Not so much. The web browser is Slow, Can only view Mobile sites or page will not load, No video, No audio, No tabbed browsing, And you cannot see most pages because there is no zoom, except for a tiny box. It would take you years to put about 100 songs on its built in MP3 player, because you have to convert all songs to the AAC format, and no built in video player. The camera makes all pictures fuzzy, and is basically just a toy. And the overall loading speed of games is the same as the DSi. If i were you, i would buy the DS lite, because personally i miss Guitar Hero for my DS. Also, its a bit larger, Meaning it hardly fits in your pocket. I would not recommend this to anyone, except a 3 year old. and after 3 days, i had a huge scratch on the front. This system is a total Disgrace.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: All the different functions
What's not so great: Not able to use the original gameboy games like you can with the original DS
Both my husband and my 12 year old son have one. They love it. My husband uses it primarily for games. My son uses all the functions on it and he loves to mess with the picture function and play music and games. Great product if you are going to use all the extra stuff, but if you are just using it to play games, save some money and purchase the regular DS or DSLite.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: does not read windows msic files. you need to convert the files.
This is a great toy for kids that like to mess with gadgets. He played with the camera an music longer that he plays the games!!

What's great about it: Excellent features, WiFi, cameras, ability to read music from SD cards. It has so many more features than then old DS.
We purchased this for our 8 year old and it replaced a DS that had broken in the past (top screen went out). I thought it would really just be a DS with a camera, but it is much more. It has bigger screens than before, WiFi and the SD card slot allows it to play iTunes m4a files. It does not require them to be converted to an MP3 format. You can just copy your iTunes files right on the card and it will play. My son likes the on-line flipnotes as well. He has played with those features (and the camera) as much or more than the games themselves. Great improvement over the old DS!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love my DSi! I play mine all the time. The browser view is a great idea, although it may be a bit slow. The finish on it wont leave fingerprints, and doesnt scratch easy, the screen sizes a noticibly bigger, the button are more solid than the ones in the DS Lite, and of the course the edition of two surprisingly clear cameras is great. The only thing i have to say thats not good is that this is still a DS. Unless you have an old original DS that hasn't stood up to the test of time(like mine), or dont have a DS, or your Lite is completely ruined, you really dont need to buy this system. But go ahead if u wont to! Even for first-time DS users, I would definetly recommend this system!

This system is really for people of all ages since I have bought two. One was bought formy girlfriend who by the way loves playing it any chance she get. The other for my little sister in which has made a difference in keeping her busy. As far as the system the game selection is outstanding since there games in all genres and they really utilize the whole dual-screen system and touch screen idea. The two camera feature is great as well which allows you to take pictures two different ways one being with the outer lens and the other being inside the unit. This helps you take pictures of those who hate taking pictures without them even knowing it. It has a very good and high quality battery that normally takes about 2-3hours to charge and take about 6-8hours to drain. So even though you cant watch videos or movies like the PSP but the expaned game selection and little features make up for it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
