I bought this camera as a gift for my mother and basically I was looking for a good value mixed with ease of use.
This camera did both very well. The use it has been given up to now is more of a casual one, but the pictures look very good. I have not seen the video yet.
Overall, this is a very practical and non-expensive camera. Only little detail, I did thought that it was a little bulky, compare, for example, to my Sony Cyber Shot. Also, just as a FYI thing, the battery charges within the camera, this meaning that you have to plug in the whole camera to the AC cable to charge the battery. Again, in the case of the Sony one, the battery charger was independent of the camera, so you could plug it anywhere.
What's great about it: Value + Ease of use + Quality
What's not so great: Size (a little too bulky) + Battery chargers within the camera

I know my individual ratings dont match up with the stars. I truly like this camera, for the price. I got it on sale. Picture quality is unbelievable. I give it 3 stars based upon the speed of being able to take your next shot. Its not a huge deal, but i did buy a faster saving memory card and cant imagine what its like if someone has a slower writing card.
I would definitely recommend it though.
What's great about it: Size, price, screen
What's not so great: How long it takes to write the picture you just took to the memory card.

I shopped around online, read many reviews, and decided on this camera to replace an older Canon. My main purpose for use was an easy "point and shoot" for capturing family, pets, garden, etc.
WOW! I am impressed. My garden shots with the telephoto feature have been fantastic. The sports feature, and blur reduction feature allowed me to capture my granddaughter doing her first cannonball off a swimming dock.
This past weekend I took some kid shots on a moving merry-go-round that were delightful.
It is so easy to use, the various features with the info button are spelled out as you turn to them, so you don't even have to remember what the icons mean. Finally, a camera made for someone who just wants to take great photos without taking a course in photography first!!
What's great about it: everything so far
What's not so great: haven't found anything yet
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this camera in July of 2009. Within two months, it refused to turn on and I had to send it out to be fixed. It took roughly a month before I got it back and it never really took pictures the same way. Within the last two weeks, it has started doing the same thing and now will not turn on at all yet again. While it's a nice camera, it seems to be very sensitive and not durable.
What's great about it: The features are great, as are the quality of the pictures.
What's not so great: It's already broken twice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this camera to have a small camera to keep in my pocket to take reasonable pictures better than my cell phone so that I did not need to carry around my "big" camera. It was inexpensive (on sale), the software is nice and easy to use, and it fits well in my shirt pocket. This is an older model and perhaps why it was on sale, but I like it. The panoramic function works well.
What's great about it: The camera is easy to use and produces very acceptable pictures.
What's not so great: Does not appear to have a macro setting.

Someone not so savy with technology would be able to use this camrea. The features are good and the process for setting up the camera is very simplified. The picture quality is great and I have found no problems with the product.
What's great about it: It is not complicated. It is easy to use and the picture quality is good.
What's not so great: I cannot make that assessment now because I have not used it that much

This camera is so easy to use. The buttons are right were you need them to change your options. The camera is very thin/compact so, I am worried that I will drop it....so, I use the strap that was provided all the time. Great price for a great camera!
What's great about it: Easy to use, clear pictures
What's not so great: it is very thin and can be easily dropped

I got this camera as the third of my Kodak collection and was impressed at first by the many features that it had but after only two weeks, I went to turn it on and the lense went out as normal but then went right back in. The camera was fully charged at the time and I couldnt get it to turn back on for over a week. It finally did decide to turn on but the zoom no longer worked.
Then two weeks ago, after completely charging it, i took a few pictures and the camera turned off on its own. It WOULD NOT turn on. It still wont and I am in the process of returning it.
Yes, this is an attractive looking camera and the features are nice but none of that means anything if it WONT TURN ON. Or zoom in for long distance pictures.
What's great about it: Easy of use
What's not so great: The camera acts as if its dead when FULLY charged

I researched cameras below $120 from Kodak, Nikon, Canon, Fuji, GE and Sony to replace my Kodak 3.1MP CX6330. The Kodak M340 had the best reviews with regard to my personal interests and requirements: reliability and photo quality.
Setup was quick and easy. After charging the included battery, I tested the Smart Capture Mode and was immediately wowed by the sharpness, color and clarity of the photos (Note: I could only take up to 4 at a time without a memory card). The mode dial includes 6 other settings, each of which has a varying number of enhancement options (sharpness, color, exposure compensation, etc). Smart Capture, Blur Reduction, Panorama, and Scene are my favorites. Blur Reduction Mode works perfectly every time. With a steady hand, Panorama produces stunning results as well. Video Mode has a blur reduction option that helps create a very smooth and steady picture. Scene provides 17 different options to adjust for particular scenes, such as Portrait, Children, Snow, Fireworks and Museum. Scene, however, does not provide the option of switching to other scene types without turning the camera off and back on. My biggest disappointment is the fact that the customizable settings in any particular Mode cannot be saved; they are reset when the camera is turned off. I would also like to see the Smart Capture tell what settings it is automatically choosing so that I can learn how to completely customize my own amazing photos in the "do it yourself" Program Mode.
Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of the Kodak M340. I like its descriptive on-screen Help Menu, Perfect Touch Technology for correcting individual photos, and sound tag feature for adding verbal notes to photos. All of the provided settings are greatly adjustable, and best of all, this camera produces clean and professional looking photos; it just takes time and practice to get the best quality out of each picture.
What's great about it: Photo clarity; on-screen help guide; settings & adjustability
What's not so great: Easily dirtied; custom settings cannot be saved; memory card and AV Cable not included

I bought this camera in February 2010. I wanted a smaller camera to take on competitions and for Spring Break in Panama City Beach. I used this camera at one competition, and the pictures were blurry, dark, and grainy. I just decided that it was where I was taking the pictures at because it was so dark. 2 weeks ago my daughter and I left for vacation in Florida. It was charged before we left, and I managed to use the camera for a half a day. The same night that I had used the camera we went out with some friends, and I got the camera out to take pictures. The camera would not turn on, and acted like the battery was dead. I took the camera back to the condo and plugged it in to my computer to charge it up. After over 12 hours charging, I still could not get the camera to turn on. I went to Walmart to get a new battery to see if I had a bad battery. Unfortunately the battery they had available was not fully charged and required charging before use. Once again, I charged the camera for over 12 hours. When I tried to turn the camera on again, it still would not work. I was able to find my receipt when I got home, but it had been 2 weeks past the 30 day return policy that Best Buy has. Fortunately, whe I took the camera to Best Buy, they allowed me to exchange it for a different model. I have't got to use the new oe yet, but it has to be better than this one. Or at least I hope so. Do not buy this camera. I have found other reviews online where the camera would not charge.
What's great about it: That Best Buy let me exchange this for another camera.
What's not so great: Everything

This is a wonderful inexpensive camera. Ready to use straight out of the box, multiple situation settings such as self portrait, fireworks, even flowers! Very fast shutter speed, virtually no lag time between shots. Large, bright LCD screen makes setting up and viewing pictures great. On-camera information button explains modes and settings while the camera is in use; much more helpful and useful than referring to an instruction manual!
What's great about it: Plug and play, ease of use, multiple situation settings, compact size
What's not so great: Smudges easily

It takes nice pictures to upload to your social network accounts. She is loving every min of it. She definitely happy about not buying batteries anymore..lol. but the camera holds a great charge and you dont have to charge it all the time..Great Buy...

My first digital camera. What a little gem! SO easy to use. I highly recommend this for newbies like me. Easy to understand instructions. When I bought it I didn't know there was video on it. What a surprise! I did buy another battery and memory card. It does not come with a memory card. But it does come with the USB cable for computer download and recharging the battery. I am so happy with this camera. Ready to use out of the box. Best Buy was very helpful with the info on this camera.

This is a great little camera. I love the Kodak Easy Share. Had a previous one, just a different model. This takes nice clear pictures, and it's easy to down load pic's on my computer. I debated getting a larger camera, but love this one because it's small enough to put in my purse, and take everywhere I go.

Bought the "package" that included the 4G card and the case for $119. This camera is very easy to use. I replaced an old Sony that still works perfect, keeeping it, but the new Sony cameras are still more than I wanted to spend. For under $100 this camera is impossible to beat. Checked the internet and compaired various brands and Kodak won straight across the board. The case that came in the package is way to small, but that is Best Buy not Kodak.

My wife and I already had three digital cameras when we purchased this one. We were looking for something very compact that we could slide in a pocket or a small purse for our night out on New Year's Eve. This was the perfect camera. Very small in size. It doesn't weight much. It's easy to use. Takes pretty good pictures and video. The price was right. If you are looking for something small and compact, this is it.
What's great about it: Great Price. Easy to Use. Compact Size.
