What's great about it: Vocals
Just read the title. David's voice is just soothing, my favorite song on this cd has to be "go". That song is great to listen to when you just want to chill. The beat and everything is just really calming, the lyrics are about letting go after a bad relationship. They're first single out of this album is "say so" which is also a really good song (and one of my favorites). If you're not sure if you want to get this album, just go to their myspace (myspace.com/myfavoritehighway) they have all their songs on their music player. While you're there check out their video for "say so". Thomas Fiss of Adisson Apparel makes a cameo!

What's great about it: Relatable, smart lyrics, a good sound, catchy, and four handsome boys
What's not so great: There are not enough songs! But that's forgivable.
My favorite highway in my opinion is the best band music has heard in quite a while.
You will absolutely love the re-release of their first album, How to Call a Bluff. You can
Find the most inspiring lyrics in any of the outstanding 11 songs on this
Album. With
Various types of songs that range from up-beat anthems to sweet and relatable ballads, any
Of the tracks can easily become an instant favorite.
Right now
I can’t get enough of “Dreamer” but
That could change tomorrow because
Every time I listen to this Cd I find something more to love in each of the songs.
How to Call a Bluff

Good music. It
Has all the components that make up an awesome album.

What's great about it: catchy, fun, heartfelt
What's not so great: nothing!
Okay this album "How to Call a Bluff”, I think, is one of the best pop albums I have bought this year. Each song and every song is truly an instant shot of espresso to start your day. I listen to this album on repeat shuffle and never get sick of it! To pick 3 favorites is a challenge, seeing i love EVERY SINGLE SONG! But, Getaway Car, The Chase and Say So would be my personal preferences if they were next on my playlist! Getaway Car is a very fast paced, dancing track, a fun song to drive on the freeway to! The Chase is one of the slower songs on the album. The lyrics to this song fit into my life completely and its a great song to sing along to! Say So, both the first single and my FAVORITE song on the album, is another fast-paced pop song. Trust me, this album never gets old, no matter how many times you listen to it in a row. Its only a matter of time until My Favorite Highway breaks it big!

What's great about it: Great vocals, wonderful musicality, relate-able
What's not so great: nothingggg.
I recently had the pleasure to see My Favorite Highway when they were an opening act for another band. I was veryy pleasantly surprised when they started playing and singing and they were actually very talented. This quartet from Pittsburg has much more talent than some of the other bands out there today. They are super easy to listen to. Once their set was done, I knew then I needed to purchase their album, which I did. They are definately a band that sounds the same live as they do on their album, which is nothing less than amazing. When I got home to listen to their album, I was very impressed. Their lyrics are incredible, harmonies amazing, and musicality fabulous. Some of my favorite tracks are "Go" "Getaway Car" "Bigger than Love" and "Steel City" which is a track about their hometown of Pittsburg, PA. If you are on the fence about purchasing this cd, please don't be, you will not be disappointed. Go ahead and order this album, and watch their music video on somethign like youtube. Their video for "Say So" is a tremendous showcase of their talent and should definatley hold you ff until thei album arrives at your doorstep. "So go on, get up, Get out, Don't even think about it." Click purchase and watch their music videos if you don't believe me.

What's great about it: Lyrics, Melodies
What's not so great: Too few songs!
My Favorite Highway’s rereleased CD, How to Call a Bluff, is song after song of sincere lyrics, great vocals, and catchy melodies. From the very first song, Simple Life, the band sends the listener a message about how “we all want something more than just the simple life”, a fact relatable to everybody. The music video for the band’s first single, “Say So”, can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWvY3Ym4Xtc . The fifth song in the album is yet another song with great lyrics about how “nothing’s bigger than love”. The song is very easy to listen to and will have the listener singing along to the chorus in no time. My personal favorite on the album is the song “Getaway Car”, which starts with a very addictive piano intro and includes one of my favorite lines throughout the CD: “Go on, get up, get out. Don’t even think about it.” The CD ends with another one of my favorite songs, “Steel City”, a song about the city of Pittsburgh. Overall, this CD is filled from beginning to end with great songs and refreshingly earnest lyrics.

So theres this Amazing band known as My Favorite Highway. Maybe you've heard of them maybe you've never heard of them. Well you should hear of them, they are the bomb. Their New album "How To Call A Bluff" is now out in stores everywhere. It is an amazing album. As of now my favorite track personally is "Say So" it is an awesome song that will get stuck in your head the moment you heat it.
The Lyrics are just absoutley amazing..
It's like we're standing outside while they're looking out the window
Picking up pace, losing control
Of all the things we are, all the things we know, it's like...
It's like I just couldn't care less, but I'm wrapped around her finger
Started placing all my bets the day that we met
And staying up to late, the way you make me wait, it's like...
Don't you know if you go
You'll go without me
Don't you leave me as if you never cared at all
If you go, don't go, go without me
Don't you need me?
What are ya waiting forr??!! Go check out the band and buy the album!! =)

What's great about it: meaningful lyrics, catchy melodies, longevity
My Favorite Highway’s debut album “How To Call A Bluff” is truly a gem. They know exactly what goes into making an infectious song in the best kind of way. This is what should be dominating the radio, this is real pop. They have perfected the art of stringing together contagious melodies and meaningful lyrics, that way you get a catchy song with something to think about as well. This is not fluff music, these are songs you will play over and over again. The first single “Say So” is as catchy as they come; check out the music video for it here: youtube.com/watch?v=KWvY3Ym4Xtc. While there are plenty of songs on this album to get you head bobbing too, My Favorite Highway knows how to write a ballad as well. “Steel City” and “Bittersweet Life” are amazing songs that also offer great perspective on life. Overall this album is easily worth what you pay, as you’ll be listening to it every day.

What's great about it: Refreshing Lyrics, Catchy Beats, Perfect Summer Anthems
What's not so great: Too Short-- You'll be wanting more!
My Favorite Highway is sure to explode onto the music scene in the upcoming year. Their re-released album "How To Call A Bluff" is full of catchy, yet meaningful songs. They're lyrics are refreshing compared to other songs today. You'll find yourself replaying their album over and over again. It's the perfect soundtrack to the summer! The album kicks off with two lively, high-tempo songs. The third song, “Say So” is the band’s first single off of record (check out the music video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWvY3Ym4Xtc). The lyrics in the song “It’s like she takes me up to ten, but she leaves me at eleven” are perfect to describe the album as well as the object of the song. This album will leave you on a high that can only be fixed by replaying the album. The 5th song “Bigger Than Love” should be called “Bigger than Life” because that’s how the song feels. If you only listen to one song off this album, this should be it. The song showcases the wonders of love, telling the listener that “nothing’s bigger than love”. The song builds up to a great climax that will have listener with no choice but to sing along to the anthem with the band, and feel the energy in the song. This song is followed by another favorite of mine “Dreamer”. The second completely new song to the album, and has the most energy I’ve heard in any song in a long time. The hits keep piling in as the album continues, with song you’ll find stuck in your head with no way out. The album ends on a ballad, “Steel City” about the town of Pittsburg. Be on the lookout, My Favorite Highway is sure to be the next big thing!!

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Nothing
I love My Favorite Highway and this album is amazing. Everyone should buy it. I'm sure you'll love it. As a debut album from them, I am beyond excited to hear what's next for them. My favorite song off the album is "Getaway Car" but I love them all, which is rare. Usually I'll only like a few songs on an album, but I love every song on this album. With their beautiful melodies and catchy lyrics, it's just a matter of time before they are huge. Buy this album now, so you can say you knew and loved them before everyone else, because soon they'll be topping the charts with their catchy songs. If you don't believe me, just check out their video for "Say So" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWvY3Ym4Xtc.
