This is a great little camera. Took it on a business trip and got almost a full 8 hour day of shooting out of it. Got an 8 GB memory card and had more than enough space with the settings all the way up. The battery died before the card was even close to full.
My two major complaints are the resolution settings, can either be super wide or a box, would like to see a setting in between. I played with most of the settings and was not able to find a solution for that. My other complaint is (as with most Sony cameras) you have to take the battery out to charge it. I would prefer to set it on a dock or plug a cord into the camera to let it charge, rather then being forced to remove the battery and use the odd charging station in a wall outlet.
Otherwise, this is a great camera. Full of features, and got it for a great price. Would highly recommend to anyone.
What's great about it: Features, size, screen.
What's not so great: Screen resolutions. Battery.

i am all about clarity and this camera my husband might love but i am not a fond of it i am a photographer as a career and i do not like the clarity of the zoom at all
What's great about it: take clear far pictures
What's not so great: the zoom in is not so great and the pictue isn't clear....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I HAVE HAD A FEW CAMERAS NOW AND THIS IS THE BEST, EASY TO VIEW EVEN IN THE DAY LIGHT TAKES VERY GOOD PICS... LIGHT AND COMPACT TAKES VERY GOOD PICS IN LOW LIGHT
What's great about it: VERY EASY TO SET UP AND START TAKING PICS.
What's not so great: NOTHING SO FAR

The camera is great for people who want a compact digital with great point-and-shoot capability as well as the ability to tweak the many features if you want. I've had it for a few weeks, and I've been able to take some beautiful pictures. One problem I've had is if I want to take night shots--it's hard to get pictures that are not blurry. Also, keep in mind that this camera doesn't come with a memory card, so remember to calculate that into your price.
What's great about it: Easy to use, beautiful pictures, many features
What's not so great: doesn't come with memory card, night scenic shots are blurry

I love this camera. I'm daily taking pics of my babies and after I got used to all the features and buttons it's really easy to use. I love the big display on the back of the camera. So glad I picked this camera!
What's great about it: Crystal Clear Pictures!
What's not so great: little buttons

Took camera on hunting trip and took some great pictures. Was able to blow them up to 8x10 and pictures look great.

If I could, I would love to have one of those $1,000.00 digital cameras. I cannot afford one and they are difficult to use, so I chose this camera and I am extremely happy with my choice.

I bought this camera as a gift for my sister. She not very tech savvy, so it's a great choice for her in terms of a first digital camera. I would never purchase this camera for my own use, simply because my Sony digital camera, which is an older model than this one, has far more picture options and nicer functionality. Overall, this is a nice camera for someone who wants a solid picture taker minus all the extra bells and whistles.
What's great about it: Good point and shoot camera for a novice.
What's not so great: Not as many options/settings as I would like.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the red eye removal you can do right in the camera prior to printing . It is so easy and the pictures really do turn out beautiful. Great for family functions. Not good if you need the distance but this camera is not made for zooming in. I love this camera and would suggest it to anyone. I have had a camera before with the red eye removal but this one is the best. I would recommend this for anyone.It is a great camera .
What's great about it: Great Pictures, Editing pictures right in the camera Very easy. I love it. Pictures turn out great.
What's not so great: Nothing as of yet

Bought this camera as a gift for my wife. We both used it for Christmas and New Years. Great shots, quick and easy to use. Nice big display. My favorite feature is the smile shot which waits for the party to smile then takes the shot.
What's great about it: I like the smile shot feature...

I would buy this product again. At Christmas we were taking a family, group photo and my parents were using their very expensive model digital camera and this camera was more reliable in the time release and the photos turned our in vibrant colors with exceptional clarity. This camera is perfect for capturing important moments.
What's great about it: Super pictures and at an affordable price. I make a lot of photo books online, the pics look professional
What's not so great: Really no complaints. I bought it for my daughter for Christmas and wish it was for me!

I literally opened this camera and began taking photos. I am not very tech savvy, so that says a lot. The pictures are great and print off very nice(printer allowing). The software has facial recognition allowing you to click a face, and it will pull up all the pics you have of that person and organizes them on a calendar by when you took the pic. Makes it very easy to recognize Xmas or New Years pictures. Nice sized 3" LCD allows anyone to take a focused picture and see your target. Battery lasts a for several hundred photos. Just make sure you by the memory card!! Overall though, my favorite new product!!!
What's great about it: VERY easy to use, great pics, software and awesome value
What's not so great: nothing as of yet

i bought my camera around Thanksgiving and have already taken over 500 photos. i love the large screen which makes it easy to see my pictures even in sunlight. this camera has many features for better photos and more silly special effects with photos. there really isn't one thing i would change about this camera and i did get it for a great price considering all the great features it contains including 3 different lenses, special effects, a 3in screen, 4x zoom, 12 mega pixels, and MUCH MORE!!!
What's great about it: 3in LCD screen makes for great picture viewing
What's not so great: NOTHING!! i love it

I got this for a Christmas gift not this color i wanted a new camera and was looking for a Sony 12 megapixel Hd . Pictures are good and has alot of different stuff you can do with the camera Face Detection and Smile Detection and alot of features on the mode dial when you go into menu you can do so much stuff its really nice and you can put stuff in your pictures the screen on the back of the camera is big .
I have a big screen tv and wanted to see everything in Hd they should have put a screen protector on Lcd screen i bought screen protectors so the screen would not get scatched and the usb cable should be seperate if you hook it up to your Playstation 3 or your computer you have the other wires in the way . The bigger the mega pixel the less pictures you get so you if you get a 2g you get 414 pictures the 4 g 828 pictures if your going to put video on them a 4 g gives you a hour in fine you will get more in the next setting but it does not look good .

This is my first camera and granted that I'm only 13 years old, it's an awesome camera.
I've been looking around and haven't found a 12.1 megapixel camera at all. I love this thing. It takes awesome pictures, it is VERY easy to use and this screen is rather large. Which isn't a bad thing.
If you're thinking about not purchasing this camera you would be missing out big time for the price and quality. I would recommend this to anyone.
What's great about it: Takes good pictures. Easy to use.
What's not so great: Somewhat short battery life if you use it a lot. You should get a spare.
