What's great about it: Inexpensive, easy to use, comfortable, great features and sound quality
What's not so great: Limited to PC, have to install application for G35s
I work and play a lot on the PC and have owned about 7 pairs of headphones over the last decade including Sony, Turtle Beach, and other Logitech models; and dollar for dollar the G35s are the best. They are specialized for the PC so don't bother looking at them unless you want just PC headphones!
I'm a gamer so comfort is important. I wore these headphones for 5 hours straight without any complaints.
The application that comes with these headphones is easy to use, customize, and can recognize other popular applications (like iTunes) so that you can immediately start enjoying the use of the little G buttons on it. Things like 'sound morphing' for the microphone can be used at any time with any application that uses a mic (for me it was StarCraft 2 and iTunes) . The mute feature/light on the mic is a big plus, saving me the pain of having to test whether the mic was on or muted (the glowing red light always tells you).
Sound quality is excellent whether it's 7.1 Surround or plain old Stereo. My only complain may be with the Bass which is adjustable in the application but never seems to feel quite right; but I would call this more of a 'pet pieve' than a complaint.
Overall I think it would be very tough to find other headphones this good at this price other than Turtle Beach.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Sounds great.
What's not so great: Cushions leave black flakes in your hair.
Great headphones... If you like black flakes in your hair and on your shoulder. After about 2 months the black vinyl on the cushions start to wear off. And NO replacement parts for just the cushions, even though they are removable. Keep your receipt so you can get a warranty replacement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this for gaming and this has to be the best headsets I've purchased so far. The quality of the sound is amazing. I can hear foot steps from miles away, crisp. When playing music, the surround system makes the quality of the music gets even better. I feel like I am at a concert hall frealz.
It is very comfortable and it comes with 3 detachable head cushion just in case your head wouldn't fit into the headset.
I truly recommend this product.

What's great about it: Sound quality, bass, directional sound
What's not so great: Long gaming sessions
Picked the headset up from Bestbuy for $80 on sale to replace a Corsair HS1A headset. Have to say I'm very impressed about the sound quality difference. The bass is far better and the directional sound is very accurate (can easily identify someone walking around in quiet situations). The buttons on the side of the headset are placed pretty well and I prefer the buttons on the side rather then on the cord anyway.
Music-wise and movie-wise I prefer my 5.1 surround sound speakers (desk speakers) and rarely use them for anything besides gaming, unless I listen to music during a game. Don't get me wrong, the sound quality is great, but it gets uncomfortable when I'm watching a movie or just listening to music. Although, being able to plug the headset in and have all sound settings adjust for the headset is simply outstanding as it takes no time to switch settings. Keep in mind, I've used a surround sound speaker setup as my only sound source for about 5 years so my preference to music and movies on them is just from long-time usage.
It might just be me since I have a big head, but the headset does get uncomfortable at times. It causes me to readjust the headset every once in a while which can be bothersome in games.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very excellent looking, feeling and sounding headphones. I have had many headphones both USB and input connection type. The sound is really good with surround sound. Every game I play that supports 7.1 or lower surround sound ability it really really shines. Nice to know when something is creepig up behind you. Excellent ++++++++

What's great about it: Over-the-ear comfort, very clear 5.1/7.1 surround sound
What's not so great: Not enough bass, have to run software for Dolby 7.1
Picked this up to replace a Turtle Beach EarForce X1 headset.
Pros: This headset is plenty big and the over-the-ear design is really comfortable compaired to other headsets. The cable is nice and long if you have your computer stashed away, the braid is nice too. Replaceable/adjustable headband pads are a neat feature to get the fit/feel you want. I'd say the sound quality is compairable to any Beats headset as far as the clarity goes.
Cons: Not enough Bass, hands down. While the heatset uses USB for the connection, they are not USB powered. You HAVE to run the Logitech software on your system to get the Dolby 7.1 surround sound to work. Software lets you adjust basic Bass/Treble settings but still not nearly enough bass for the $129.99 price. Red LED on the Mic can only be set to either "On" when the Mic is disabled, "On" all the time or "Off" all the time. Would have been nice to have the LED on when the Mic is enabled and off when it's not.
I'm going back to a headset that has 3.5mm jacks and USB for power.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: price, sound quality, easy install
What's not so great: seem physically weak, sum program/ design flaws
this is a great device,but not quite perfected. The queal that was "fixed" is still there, but it's not what you think. what causes the squeal is actually the treble being over driven and is set to values too high even at defult. so to correct the problem simply turn down the treble. which is fine because if you listen the trebble really should be set about 1/4 to 1/3. so pass that the head set sounds great extremely clear and loud. the surround sound effect isn't quite fully deceptive, but is more pronounced than most surround sound headsets i've tried (have not tried razor, but have tried turttle beach and tritton) also these are much more user freindly with pc users than other console type headsets. the bass is loud and clear just not felt quite as much as i'd like. (i have subs on everything so it's just not what i'm used to) i run music and games at the same time with perfect clarity and surround sound still in effect. you do get a can sound when using surround sound setting with a non 7.1 surround sound signal, but the convienient switch on the muff can fix this to your preffrence on the fly. i have a large head and the phones do seem flimsy so take care, but i got these to fit perffectly with just a little force bending of the crown of the headphones. just becarefull of the swivels since they are a weak point of the design. the head phones are easly to clean since they have "pleather" pads and are not all that heavy though they could fall off if you jerk your head or lean back to far. also since this is usb your comp will switch automatically between these and you normal speakers.

It looks huge when I open the box. After installing all softwares, I put it on, and I LOOOOOOVE it. The 7.1 system is great. Bass so strong and I don't wanna take it off.

Very impressive 7.1 surround sound with plenty of bass and great sound quality. Whether its games or music, I have been hearing subtle details that I have not heard on other headsets. There's a switch on the back of the left earpiece to turn the sound from 7.1 to stereo, which is great for switching from gaming to music easily. The volume and mute buttons are also on the left earpiece and easily adjusted.
I was told by other gamers that the mic is very clear and there is little/no background noise or static. The mic is also very flexible, along with the rest of the headset, which makes it comfortable. This headset also comes with three different head pieces for the top to make it even more adjustable.
This headset is a little on the expensive side if you are just a casual gamer, but it is a good brand (Logitech) and worth the extra money in my opinion.

What's not so great: sound quallity (only 16bit lawl? ), 7.1 just sounds like echoing in a barrel, and
after reading all the reviews online i was very scared of buying them but i seen them go on sale so i picked up a pair at the local Best Buy, and i gota say i might be returning them in a few days. Drivers work for me on windows 7 ultimate 64bit for what ive used now, but the Logitech panel have horrible controls, headset has near no bass and the "surround sound" makes u feel like your in a small barrel or something it has just a weird echo on everything. friend on teamspeak tell me that they hear every little background sound and keystroke. i am not against Logitech just these headphones i have owned and very happy with lots of Logitech products including a g15 keyboard and mx518 mouse.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You wont be disappointed!!! The sound quality is just amazing. When playing video games you hear everything, even the other players footsteps. Music sounds really good also. Highly recommend. The software is pretty cool too. You can morph your voice to several different sounds.

Once the right earpiece on my old Plantronics headset died, it was pretty clear I was in the market for a new headset. I'm a huge fan of the circumaural designs since they're wearable for hours at a stretch with no ear contact fatigue. If you've experienced this, you know exactly what I'm talking about, and you're loathe to have it happen again too. So let's dive into what makes Logitech's G35 a great buy.
Pros:
-Sound quality
Who buys a headset for anything else? These sound great no matter what you're listening to. Logitech nailed the most important feature here.
-Microphone quality
The best I've ever had, hands down. Complaints that my old headset made it sound like I had a jet engine in the background are gone and replaced by total ambient silence and excellent voice reproduction.
-Build quality
The G35 is built like a tank. Good, hard plastic all around and a hinge on the mic that won't allow it to flop around like so many headsets are plagued by. Your mic won't reposition itself unless you actively do so, with just enough resistance built in to let you know it's going to stay in place.
-Surround Sound
The surround sound is a software solution, yes. Now that I've gotten that bit out of the way, I'll say it's easily one of the better implementations I've come across. There hasn't been a day that's gone by since I started using it that I haven't had to lift one of the earpieces up to make sure my main speakers weren't turned on. You'll be highly convinced that there's sound coming from an external source around you. When it comes to surround sound, that's a job well done.
-Sound quality

The headset is amazing, booming bass, great surround sound, i just finished dead space 2 with these and the surround sound was stellar, it just makes the gaming experience so much more immersive. Very comfortable and durable.

What's not so great: Somewhat 'heavy' feeling, at the top of my head.
It was quite uncomfortable, right out of the box. It was just too tight on my head.
Fortunately, the overhead frame is metal, so it was just a matter of gently bending it to suit.
Now. it is very comfortable, and I can game for hours, without 'ear pain'.
